8 years ago the Bucket shut down. Happy refupea anniversary

Happy Pea Anniversary everybody! I think I made it over here within the first couple days after the board shut down. In spite of the unfortunate, occasional dust ups that happen here, this place is way better than the old board ever was.

You're not the only one. I did for a minute, then I realized it was after a major event in my life, not before that event. 

I am so glad to be here..but I still miss 2 peas and Lifetime Moments also.

YES! 8 years has flown by.

This board that was recreated by a Special Pea is a gift. It's a gift to all of us. It gives us a chance to praise, vent, congratulate or just complain. We have all learned things from this site.

It's a wonderful resource that we have. I'm thrilled and grateful to have each and everyone of you in my cyber life!

Wow---8 years!! In some ways that number seems more than I would have guessed, but in other ways it feels even longer ago than that to me.

Wow...I am shocked that it's been 8 years. I don't remember how I got here but I think it was within a day or two. My date registered is blank. Not sure why.

I didn’t find this board until 4th August so I was floundering there for awhile.

Was shocked when the old board vanished but so happy to connect here - I am Down Under but have learnt so much through posts here.

Wowee. I don't post very often and am probably only recognised by a handful of peas but think I have been around for about 18 years now. I can still remember being shocked that the original board had shut down and grateful that one of the two Peas I am friends with on Facebook let me know about here!!

WOW. Doesn’t seem that long. I’ll always remember that day, I was at chemo with DH and he was asleep and I was FREAKING out because 2Peas was shutdown. Then I found here and was like “whew!!” And DH was like “uh huh, okay loser”. LOL.  I registered June 25th at 3:55pm

I was largly confused at the old board most of the time. I hadn't been there too long, and everyone seemed to know each other so well.

I was happy to find this new one quickly, and over the years have learned so many things and bought so much stuff! LOL

Message boards used to be huge. Now they seem to be far less, but the ones that have hung on are amazing.

My husband belongs to a farming message board. It is world wide, as are the Peas. He relies on it! He learns so many things from it, from marketing, to chemical use, to just knowing what is going on in the world of agriculture. Equipment is so technologically advanced now days, but it can be very difficult to get someone knowledgeable enough to fix the issue quickly. But he can post his question in that group and almost instantly have people that have had the same issue helping him solve it.

Sometimes, by the time the mechanic gets there, he has it up and going and shows the mechanic how to fix the issue.
