2 questions please. If i choose to go with the old school method... Let's say I make a card and go through the list of challenges that grammadee puts on the printable list to get my total. Is there any other points I am missing? Some of those answers to MichyM's point question are throwing me off. ETA: Ok, I see I get 1 point for creating and 1 point for sharing. Now am I missing any more points? Spending / No spending....Why are people keeping track by day? Maybe I missed a posted challenge? Thank you. Oh, and katiekaty without paper(posse), you have nothing to cut and paste.

Under “Other” there are challenges regarding spending/not spending: O-3: Frozen Peas in the summer! take 5 points for each day your are frozen, spending no money on scrappy supplies. Bonus Double your frozen points for any month you can keep the freeze on! O-4: SUMMER SPLURGE - 1 PT FOR EACH DOLLAR SPENT ON CRAFTY GOODNESS

You have to choose one way or the other to count. If scoring Easy Peasy, you get one point to create the card + one to share. Then you get a flat rate per card depending on the size. You can also claim the card challenge bonuses. If you are scoring Old School, you get your 2 points for creating and sharing, but then you go on to add the points for the bits and pieces that went into it. You can still claim the card challenges bonuses. For cards, I usually choose Easy Peasy, but my cards don't often have alot of elements or techniques that would earn points. To add to grammadee explanation. When using the Old School system, the default point value is 1 point for the individual pea-created challenges (such as your “P-2” example MichyM ) unless the challenge states otherwise. Also, when doing the Old School Method, you get points for all the challenges your project meets within any of the regular challenge sections (words, recipes, shapes, colors, etc.) You’re not limited to just one of the themed categories. Ok, from what I can tell, Old School is better. I'm specifically looking at MARIBETHR's points for cards which are averaging about 80-100 points each. Using easy peasy mine are worth 12 points each. Oy!

Oy! Yes, definitely! It boils down to time. If you don't want to spend the time counting points the easy method is the quickest route. If you want to spend the time, old school gives the most points. I think counting old school points gets easier as the quarter goes on and the challenges become familiar.

Oy! The reasons those cards have so many point is the amount of "bling" that is on each card. You can see previous Stamplistic cards I have posted to get an idea, and I will be posting photos of these specific cards tonight in the 12-card challenge post. However, my non Stamplistic cards do not have as high a point value. But I do prefer to do old school, just because it makes me try new things or use up product just in order to increase the point value.

If I can get myself to concentrate on the list, I may have to recalculate the cards I made this week and see how they come out points wise going Old School. I'll look forward to seeing the cards you're going to post in the 12 card challenge to see how you came up with your points. It will likely help me out a lot!

Linda, you can claim the bonus for each ten sketchy Saturdays you meet. But not sure it should apply to SKETCHtember. (Except for the Saturdays)?

That was actually going to be my follow-up question - do the Sketchtember Saturdays count as sketchy saturdays or is sketchy saturday on hiatus until October?
