As we are going into full summer mode (finally here!) I thought I would go into "let's get caught up with any of the challenges we haven't met yet" in the last year and half that I've hosted! LOL This challenge is to encourage you to work towards a more organized crafting life, so that you can find what you purchased when you want to use it! My best rule of thumb is that it should not take more than three moves to get to what you want to use on your project. If you are on a team for the team challenges you can claim 10 points for each hour spent. The time does not need to be consecutive. Bonus of 5 points for each before and after photo. The following tasks will count towards the crafting organization: • Cleaning up after your latest crafting session (ie desk before, desk after) • Scrubbing or vacuuming the floor in your space. Dusting your space (I live in the desert next to a dirt road and own three German Shepherds, so this is a regular task) • Organizing a supply or completely re-doing your entire space. • Sorting, editing, backing up, or ordering photos. • Setting up page kits for photos or organizing the ones that you get as a monthly subscription with photos. • Essentially anything that is related to crafting that needs to be done to “spark joy”! (I’m not necessary a huge Marie Kondo fan . . . but she does have some good ideas!) Scrapbook related Bonus, 20 points for each hour. Catch-up categories include: paper, ribbon-thread-twine-fiber, washi tape, embellishments, alphabets, ink and ink pads, alcohol in, embossing powder, stickles, liquid pearls, Nuvo drop, paints, mists, glitter, tools, templates, stencils, adhesives, stamps w/ matching dies, embossing folders, dies, unfinished projects, or sentiment stamps. Non-Scrapbook related Bonus, 20 points for each hour! This must include sorting and purging . . . donating or throwing away items that no longer belong in your home. Linens, anything clothing related (yours or a loved one), books, or anything in the kitchen. (I didn't get all the cabinets done even in the 3 month time span.) grammadee

Thank you angel97701 for hosting and encouraging us all to keep organising. My focus continues to be photos - I got a TON done last quarter but still so much to do.

Because I always seem to get the bonus wrong, the catch up categories listed is that 20 points for 1 hour organizing these types of items? Thanks.

Yes, 20 points per 1 hour organizing anything on the lists . . . ALL past categories. Clothing is general because I did smaller groupings in monthly challenges to make them more manageable.

BEFORE - with my supervisor, Dusty AFTER - where I found one more layout worth of photos in the mess so I'm not ACTUALLY done with my album, sigh

Great job Linda! I need to take the after photo, and didn't get a before, but I've already got a project started on my desk!

Thanks angel97701 - my desk doesn't look like that anymore...Christmas has exploded all over it. I typically clean up between layouts except when I'm making several with the same supplies

07-10-22 After a full day of classes from FB Crafter's Classroom, and a secondary day of finishing classroom projects before and after photos = 1 hour of clean up.

Well my space is down to one bag, one small crate, tool kit, and a computer while I am at the cabin. I did sort through all the kits I brought along and figured out which ones were fully put together except photos, which ones were partial (some with photos assigned) and kits from classes yet to be assembled. So about 1.5 hours, and then an hour journaling on several layouts to get them done.

I’ve spent 3 hours on photos this week and another filling my new Alex. Getting ready to to organize my dies and hot foil stamping plates, too.

Yesterday and Sunday - I managed to move quite a few photographs from unknown date into the correct year folders - spend about 8 hrs total
Yesterday I spent 2 hrs labelling photos from 1997
Today I scanned my 2017 Legoland scrapbook (about an hour) and went through the 2 volumes of 1997 scrapbooks and scanned any photos I didn't have a digital copy of - very tedious and has taken 3.5 hours. Still need to label them but that might be tonight or more likely tomorrow spent 2 more hours labelling and organising those photos.
