I love pickles in every form. Pickle just about any vegetables, I’m there for it. My soul sister! Sign me up for mustard, too. Ich habe deutsches Blut (but my German speaking/writing is not very good LOL)

I like most types of pickles - prefer dills/sours. However, I DO NOT like them ON or even TOUCHING any sort of sandwich (lone exception is a little relish in tuna fish). We have a few places we get takeout from that we have to ask for NO pickle or have the pickle wrapped separately and NOT thrown in next to the sandwich or chips/fries, as the juice completely ruins it!
DH doesn't like any pickles whatsoever, so I rarely even have them in the house. I don't crave them like I used to, LOL.

My mom hates pickles. As a kid, if we were having a meal and someone wanted pickles, we had to wait until my mom was done eating and had left the table before we could have the pickles.

I love pickles, but we’re a house divided. My youngest and I love them; my husband and oldest hate them.

I love love love pickles. Dill are my favorites, but I like sweet pickles too. Love pretty much all pickled veggies. Mustard too…never met a type of mustard I didn’t like.
Ketchup is gross though.

I love dill and sweet pickles- just not spicy ones. I also love most olives. DS likes dill pickles, but not sweet pickles and not olives. DH hates them all. 🤷🏼♀️

I didn’t grow up eating a lot of pickles, but DH did. Only regular or spicy. No sweet. Every time we go to the fair DH and kids each get a big one. That is way too much pickle for me. DH grew up putting a salted plum in it (saladito). That is way too salty for me.

You would not last in my family. My grandmother used to make her own dill pickles. They were the most amazing pickles I have ever tasted! And they had a crispy texture, not the limp texture of most store bought pickles.
My father and I used to get together and make dozens of quarts of them. And as usual, my sisters would ask for the finished product but never offer to help with the process of making them. My son recently asked me for the recipe. I think his fiancé loves dill pickles and my son mentioned the recipe we have. I don’t remember my son being a huge pickle lover so I was surprised that he wanted the recipe.

All pickles are not created equal. ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) Some I like, some I can't stand. I love a Claussen dill pickle slice with a meaty meal, like roast beef. The garlicky flavor pairs well. I like good dill pickles on my hamburger, but can't stand fast food pickles. My local farmers market has a bread & butter pickle slice that is so good. It is pickled with some onion and peppers in it and I like to eat them straight from the jar. It's great on a smoked meat sandwich. I also like to dice them finely and add to my chicken salad. I agree with this. Not all pickles are created equally. I can eat a good dill. My mom’s homemade are the absolute best I’ve ever had. I like them just turned, maybe 3-5 days. Not salty. Just spiced and garlicky. Most store bought are awful. If claussen is your cup of tea I would encourage you to try Bubbie’s. If you haven’t bought your pickles in the fridge section of a kosher deli they’re not good. I have a couple of year. I can handle them on tuna salad but when I make my tuna I don’t add pickle. My dd likes them sliced into her tuna sandwich though. And on her veg burgers. She’s a pickle-a-holic. If you go to a good kosher deli they bring half and full done to the table.

HATE them.
I make sure to order any food without a pickle. I hate when they’re placed on the side of a plate and all the pickle juice ruins the rest of the food. Hamburger buns just sop up that juice. 🤢

The absolute worst of all pickles are the slimy disks they put on fast-food sandwiches/burgers. Ewww!

I don't like sweet pickles, only dill. Which is interesting, because I don't like dill at all.
I don't like relish.
I don't like my pickles hot (on hamburgers).
Rarely do I want a pickle on a sandwich.
Pickle alone or on the side is what I prefer.
Mustard is OK. I don't mind a bit of mustard on a hamburger or hotdogs (along with ketchup). I don't want mustard in a cold sandwich. I don't mind some mustard mixed into the dressing for egg salad, potato salad or macaroni salad. But not an overwhelming amount. And I only prefer yellow mustard if I do use it.

I don’t like pickles or mustard, either. Same here. I eat dill relish in deviled eggs and macaroni salad. I just won't eat if mustard has been put on it and scraped off.

I only like dill or kosher pickles; the crisper the better. I do not like sweet or limp, mushy pickles and I do not like this mixed in things as a rule. No pickles on my sandwich, but on the side, YES! I love all types of mustard and have 4 different types in the fridge right now. It is ketchup that I can't stand. The smell makes me gag.

I love pickles--cornichons are my favorite but I also love a Mt. Olive kosher baby dill. I like sweet pickles but I try to avoid sugar. And mustard! I adore it. I've been known to eat seeded mustard with a spoon.

I love pickles but...I feel it ruins potato salad. And I'm tired of all the chicken sandwiches lately having pickles on them. I don't want any pickles with a fried chicken sandwich. And even Wendy's is doing it now. Which is super disappointing.

I'm neutral towards pickles. I do not like them on my burgers or on anything hot. The idea of pickle pizza is disgusting to me. However, I will put pickle slices on my sandwiches. They have to be the stacker style, not chips. I love sweet gerkins and will eat the spear that some places put on their plates.

I hate when they’re placed on the side of a plate and all the pickle juice ruins the rest of the food. Hamburger buns just sop up that juice. 🤢 That's why one of my friends always asks that the pickles be placed on a smaller, separate plate.

Ich habe deutsches Blut (but my German speaking/writing is not very good LOL) My grandparents immigrated from Germany, so sauerkraut was a staple in my household. It was the one chore I’d volunteer to go down to the creepy (to me anyway) basement to do, turn the homemade sauerkraut over in their barrels. That made for excellent snacking! Then I lived in Asia for 7 years, and got exposed to even more pickled wonderfullness! Goes without saying we have all manner of mustard in the house too
