Besides liking the paper doll on iowagirl50147 's card, I liked the textured, embossed and flowery background, so here is another paper doll card.

Yay! I love that we're inspiring each other I've been working on 8 of the happiest cards right now, some of which are for the summer card exchange, so I don't wanna share them until a week or so after I mail them. The colors are so yummy they're just making my desk very smiley. I've made 3 different designs for the exchange and think I want to do one more. What to do, what to do....

You gals have been busy this month! I just have one card so far. I am going to start commenting on page ONE: iowagirl50147, that turtle card is not only cute, it is very motivating, and would be cheering to anyone. And what you did with that 3-D folder is amazing. So much care in colouring the sweet kids, too. azcrafty, I love window cards. Those vellum casements look lovely. lindas I love the pop of the bouquet against that black background. Really striking. Your coloured nature themed cards are gorgeous, MichyM. Love the colours and how they all work together. Your slimline is really pretty, jjpeapea. Great use of that die set, and I love the simplicity of it. And I keep telling myself I am going to do some cards with that Triple Time technique, especially after seeing cards like yours: these turned out really pretty! And who do you think you ARE--Tim Holtz? That heritage image on that card is really cool. And I love the dress pattern lady on your card on this page. You are really on a ROLL! pinklady, the plaid and solid no nonsense greeting is perfect for a Fathers' Day card! And I love the switch to the soft and flowery Mothers' Day one. scrapnnana, I am always amazed by your diecut card faces. So much care and attention to detail in the colour choices and piecing together! Love the Mickey cupcake! And the cat coming out of that cardboard box is really cute! I think I need that sentiment on the inside framed for MOST days, whether I am recovering or not!

I made these a week or so ago and really liked them when I made them, but now that I'm looking at photos of them, they feel plain to me (even though they took forever)! I am totally into CC as to what I could have done to make them "better" and/or suggedtions for the next time I make cards with this die/stamp set! So please go for it! ETS: yikes, I forgot to resize when I put them on postimages. So sorry!

Wow, everyones cards are awesome! MichyM I'm so glad you started this thread. jjpeapea Can you recommend a video tutorial for this technique? I love the continuous look but cannot wrap my brain around how to do this easily. I need visual help. scrapnnana I love the interactive card. Was it pretty easy to put together? MichyM I just ordered that lemon die set. I CANNOT wait for it to get here! Your cards are not too plain at all. That's pretty much the design I had in mind. I want to make cards with navy and/or black cardstock.

I'll be curious to see yours, I hope you'll share when you get some cards made! This is my favorite thread on 2peas. If y'all see girls posting cards they've made elsewhere on the boards here, please encourage them to post them in this thread too. We can all use some inspiration, yes?!?

jjpeapea Can you recommend a video tutorial for this technique? I love the continuous look but cannot wrap my brain around how to do this easily. I need visual help. There are several youtubes. Here is one: www.youtube.com/watch?v=bmculp_tz74Basically you cut the rectangles, stack them up and stamp them while stacked. Then you mat each layer. My images had missing spots near the edges but then the mat took care of that.

MichyM I love the bold bright color lemons against the bold darker background. The only think I can think is maybe put a think rectangular frame around it all and see how that looks.

Love the lemons on the bright background MichyM! They look great the way they are. The only thing I could suggest to add is some small clear crystals on the leaves to look like dew drops.

Yay, new card examples. Great work ladies.
And thank you girls for providing some ideas for me. I have a few more lemons cut and ready to go, so I'll try making a few more cards in the next week using your suggestions!

MichyM, your cards are not plain. They are delightful, cheery, and bright. I don’t think you need to add or change a thing. lovestocreate, that is a wonderful birthday card. The color scheme is very striking. Ryann, your summer cards are fabulous. I love the colors, patterns, and layers.

Question - Is this thread being forgotten because it's stickied now? And if so, should we ask Gramma to unsticky it? Or are we all just in a "not in the mood to share right now" mode?
I've been working on a few dozen patterned paper Christmas cards for donation (which IMO turned out pretty boring), and some other cards for donations (children's birthdays). I wanna share the cards I made for the sumer card exchange but I just mailed them today, so I should wait another week or so....
Anyhow, whatcha been working on this week?... and what do you think about unstickying the thread?

Love your Christmas cards. The mix of the textured and smooth papers is really cool. I've done the inlay technique once and had a love hate relationship with it too. I've haven't had time to be crafty for the last week or so, work is crazy. But a friend is coming over next weekend for a full day of card making on Saturday, so hopefully I'll have more to share after. Although, I am planning on breaking open my Glimmer machine for the first time, so it may be a day of hot messes. While it's not from this quarter, here is my inlay card. It's an inlay panel over a shaker panel.

Just wanted to say everyone's cards are so beautiful. Thanks for sharing. One day I'll learn how to post photos.
On a side note, what type of glue are you all using for those pretty intricate pieces?

Loving all the different cards! MichyM , those squeeze the day cards are DELICIOUS! Love the way those lemons stand out from that teal background and all the textures from the inking, the dies, and the embossing of the background panels. And the work you did in filling in all the pieces in your diecut card fronts is well worth it! Love how you inverted the colour combo. Did you fill in the spaces and then cut the circles? lovestocreate , your masculine card is amazing. So much depth from the stenciling. I struggle with monochrome, but you nailed it. Your shaker card is so fun and wintery, jjpeapea ! Perfect use of that snowflake cutting plate. In the opposite season, your summery cards are so bright and cheerful, Ryann. I especially like the layered punched border strips, but all of them look like they would be fun to receive. Speaking of FUN to recieve, your box cards are delightful, lindas ! Love how by changing up the papers and the characters they each look completely unique. Now I want that die, but knowing me, I will put together one card and then decide they are too much work.... And speaking of WORK, your flower cards are amazing, cmpeter ! The petals look so lovingly inked and perfectly placed, and they look gorgeous on those embossed backgrounds. And WTG combining the two techniques I love but avoid b/c of my lack of skill and patience--shaker and inlaid designs: love your card! I hate to even show my messy cards here, but I quickly put together four cards yesterday, and here they are: howdy birthday by Gramma Dee, on Flickr embossing anniversary by Gramma Dee, on Flickr
