Loving all the different cards! MichyM , those squeeze the day cards are DELICIOUS! Love the way those lemons stand out from that teal background and all the textures from the inking, the dies, and the embossing of the background panels. And the work you did in filling in all the pieces in your diecut card fronts is well worth it! Love how you inverted the colour combo. Did you fill in the spaces and then cut the circles? lovestocreate , your masculine card is amazing. So much depth from the stenciling. I struggle with monochrome, but you nailed it. Your shaker card is so fun and wintery, jjpeapea ! Perfect use of that snowflake cutting plate. In the opposite season, your summery cards are so bright and cheerful, Ryann . I especially like the layered punched border strips, but all of them look like they would be fun to receive. Speaking of FUN to recieve, your box cards are delightful, lindas ! Love how by changing up the papers and the characters they each look completely unique. Now I want that die, but knowing me, I will put together one card and then decide they are too much work.... And speaking of WORK, your flower cards are amazing, cmpeter ! The petals look so lovingly inked and perfectly placed, and they look gorgeous on those embossed backgrounds. And WTG combining the two techniques I love but avoid b/c of my lack of skill and patience--shaker and inlaid designs: love your card! I hate to even show my messy cards here, but I quickly put together four cards yesterday, and here they are: howdy birthday by Gramma Dee, on Flickr embossing anniversary by Gramma Dee, on Flickr These are really cute and not messy at all. I’ve seen that numbers embossing folder and like it a lot. It never occurred to me that it could be used for an anniversary card. Nicely done!

So many great cards. I put my cards in 2 collages. In the first one I challenged myself to use the window dies around the world. The second just some extra play.

Wow, so many beautiful cards. It will take me a while to catch up with each of them, but I’m starting on page 1. iowagirl50147, I love your turtle card. The sentiment is wonderful and that turtle has the perfect expression. So cute.~ Your little girls and the doily card is amazing. So many cool techniques. You are very brave to experiment with the messier supplies. This turned out so beautiful! azcrafty, your window card is very pretty. I love the way the flowers are shown on the inside. Beautiful ivy and floral arrangement.~ I love all the “round the world” doors/windows you did . Each is a masterpiece of ingenuity. My favorite is the Japan card because it reminds me of the room we stayed in while visiting our DD in Tokyo.~I love your hanging plants and your cacti cards. Did you do all the coloring? What do you use for that. Each one so pretty. You are truly a card artist. lindas, you anniversary card is so pretty. Great job on the coloring of the flowers. The use of the gold embossing is beautiful with your metallic leaf pieces.~ Your pop up cards make me want to buy the dies. They are so professional looking! Your coloring of the pieces is fabulous. I love making interactive cards, but these might be beyond my abilities. Gorgeous work!. The gnomes are my favorites.~ Your combo of inlay and shaker card is amazing. What a great look. I love the soft colors you used to inlay. MichyM, your hello cards are wonderful. Your embellishments are so pretty. I have never tried colored pencils and gamsol, but I think I would like to try it. I love the dimension you get with layering your sentiment. Beautiful work.~I love, love, love your lemon cards. Your use of layered embellishments and sentiments give your cards such a rich, professional look. Gorgeous.~ LOL, I had to giggle at your punching out the innards and the time involved. The cards are beyond gorgeous and the amount of work was worth it. You probably would not want to make dozens of those! Love that die. jjpeapea, your hello card is so pretty and dainty. I love the scalloped inside frame. What a great look! Your flowers and tiny hearts make this so sweet!~ I love your triple framed cards. I tried that technique once but didn’t have any pretty stamps. Looking at your beautiful snowflakes makes me want to try it again. Lovely cards. ~Your ancestor card is incredible. I love the coloring and I didn’t know Ancestry had a coloring feature. I need to do some exploring. That card is precious, even if she isn’t technically related to you. Thanks for the info.~I love your yellow paper doll card too. The stamped and embossed background is so striking. You are really on a roll. ~Adorable shaker snowman card. I love the design and the mix of shakies (is that a word?) You have used. Such a fun card. scrapnnana, I love that Disney card. I have a DGGD who is a Disney nut and would love that. You have some lovely dies. I love all the little Mickey heads on the cupcake! ~Your kitten in a box card is adorable. I especially love all the stitched edges. The pawprint background is perfect. The interactive part of it makes it so clever. I hope your friend is feeling better. Thanks for all the information on how you made the cards! lovestocreate, your birthday card is beautiful. It has such an artsy vibe and can be used as a masculine or feminine card. Lovely stamping! I love the way you have used stencils on the background. Ryann, I caught your cards in the gallery and left you love. You always use die cuts in such artful ways on these cards. cmpeter. I am amazed at your geranium cards. Your inking/coloring of them really elevate them to a higher level. I could use the same dies and never have them look so realistic. You have talent, girl! grammadee, I love that cowboy gnome. I think he is perfect for your son. I caught your cards in the gallery and left more love. I just finished 12 cards for the Card challenge this month. I haven't taken a photo yet, but will later and post them. I used the Sheetload design for this month, so they are pretty simple.

Merry Christmas PoinsettiaThese used some 2014 AC paper I bought years ago at the AC Warehouse sale. I donated a lot of the pack and wish now I hadn't. It doesn't show, but the background has embossed swirls made by a metal cover plate.

These are great nylene. Love that poinsettia die and the traditionalcolors. Did you embossed the background pp? I really had fun with those window dies and pushing myself to create scenes with them. And love that one of them brought you back some memories. For my watercolored cards I used my Zig real brush markers I like how you can use them with or without water.

I saw your “around the world” cards on IG, and love them just as much seeing them a second time. Morocco is my favorite place to be. I’ve visited twice, in 2014 and 2019, and was due to spend 3 months there when the pandemic hit, so I’m especially partial to that one. And your plants cards are so lovely too. I think it may be time for me to find some plant stamps! Ka-ching!

Thank you MichyM , I'm sorry to hear that the pandemic upset your plans and hopefully you'll get an opportunity to spend 3 months again. I can't take credit for this card idea, I saw it on IG and just copied it with products that I own. Its for my friend's birthday and she loves purple ,so I tried to add as much purple I could but still keep a good balance. The back has room to add a message but probably I will keep it blank and just sign it.

I have that "big brthday wishes" die, but it never would have occurred to me to do what you and the "original" cardmaker did with it. If you feel like it, I'd love to see the card that you used for inspiration. Your attention to detail is amazing!

I agree Nylene you give the best feedback. Thank you for the kind words about my cards. I love your take on the SLOC, the poinsettia in the middle really pulls it together. AZcrafty is that the new Lawn Fawn pop up platform you are using on your card? I love yours and the idea of making a card that is really a display piece. I am trying to challenge myself to use some things that are still sealed in their packaging. This typewriter and florals is from the Spellbinder large die of the month club from Feb 2022. I struggled to come up with a unique approach with such a large die. This is a hybrid of a number of images I found online. Anyone else use this die yet? I'd love to see your take on it.

I have serious perfectionist tendencies, and see where they’re “off,” by even a little bit. I do like the super narrow mat look, so I keep plugging away at it. Each side is supposed to be 1/16” (ish) 😉

lindas, your Christmas pop up cards are absolutely adorable, and I am impressed by the variety, too! cmpeter, the embossing behind your geranium blossoms adds a wonderful and unusual texture that helps to set off your potted blooms. Lovely! Your inlay shaker card is gorgeous, too, to borrow the sentiment from your card. I have seen typewriter die cuts before, but not the Spellbinders dies you used. It’s a wonderful card, and kudos for challenging yourself to use it. MichyM, your intricate and detailed Joy/Merry & Bright cards are beautiful! I know a lot of work went into them, especially gluing in all the “puzzle” pieces in the Joy card. Exquisite! grammadee, your gnome cowboy stole my heart! I am not the huge gnome fan that you are, but I had to hunt down those dies. He is too, too cute! Your anniversary cards are lovely, too. azcrafty, your cards are lovely, but the first ones were a bit small to see well. I would love to get a better look. Your 3D pop up mermaid birthday card is absolutely delightful! nylene, your Christmas cards are lovely. I zoomed in to see the embossing, and it does add a wonderful element. I also love the embossed poinsettias with the sequin center.

cmpeter you did a beautiful job with that die set. I have it too , but I haven't used it yet. I want to make a Christmas card with it....Dear Santa letter and use some winter foliage. Just like what the designers did to the mail boxes. And yes ,this is the LF platform die. I extend it in the back and now its quite big. I have to make an envelope for it. scrapnnana, thank you. I believe if you click on the photo it will take you to their site and you can make it bigger. If that doesn't work please let me know and I will upload them separately.

Its not cheap ,but there is no way that I would make it without the die. I did find a YouTube video where someone created one and looked good and not to complicated, but I already have the die. Here is the link if someone wants to try it. youtu.be/FZIV_t1cAaAAfter seeing your beautiful cards and seeing all your scenes. I realized that I have most of those dies, so I went on ebay and got it and it was on sale too because it was the last one 😂. Thank you for posting your cards it really helped pushing me over the edge.

I went through my Christmas collections and decided to start with a technique I have previously enjoyed. It's called "triple time" by some. THANKS so much for posting the name of the technique. I made a card like this many years ago but when I attempted to make another for one of the challenges, I could not figure out for the life of me how I did it. I might work on that today.

Jjpeapea those are just lovely, what a cool technique. I had a friend come over yesterday. We had one card class left to complete from the Pink Fresh card class a couple months ago. This uses the Handpicked Flowers stamp and stencil set. Then we broke open a couple new to us layering stencil sets. The Greetery - Print Shop Goodness. And then from Altenew Fragrant Florals. I defiantly want to do more with this set. The sentiment is using the Spellbinders Glimmer machine. I finally broke that out of the box. I'm having a heck of a time with over-foiling and need a lot more practice!

Those are so pretty cmpeter. I really do think I need to give layered stencils a go, soon! And your foiled sentiment looks good to me (I'm trying very hard not to go down that rabbit hole). I'd never know you were a newbie at it.

I have been so tempted by the PinkFresh holiday card event. Its the weekend after SCT card event though. Girls...worth it? Not worth it? Too overwhelming to do two weekends in a row? Asking since I've never done one of these virtual events, let alone two.

azcrafty, your Mermaid card is incredible. You did so much detail in every bit of your design. Your colored images are amazing. I’m sure your friend was bowled over with this fabulous card. You are a card artist!~Your pop-up 16th birthday card is so cute. I love the little scene and the way you have put those colors together. Different colors of green make this look so bright and fun. This will be loved! cmpeter, what a beautiful typewriter card. I love the thickness of your die cut pieces. You must layer them to get that wonderful bold look. Your colors are gorgeous together. The sentiment in the typewriter is perfect. This card has so many pieces! You do amazing work!~ Your Pink Fresh card is gorgeous. I see that you said you used layered stencils. Do you do all the color with stencils and ink? That floral piece is gorgeous and the perfectly placed gems make this so professional. ~I love the purples in You Make Me Smile. Are these layered stencils too? I need to look into that. I don’t enjoy coloring and these are amazing!~The shading on your Just for you card is beautiful. The colors are so bright and pretty and I love the foiled sentiment. Did you use copics on this? Your cards are all so amazing. I am in awe of the cards posted on this thread. Makes me afraid to post my amateurish cards on the thread. You girls are all card geniuses!

Thanks for the kind comments on my cards!
For the layered stencil cards above #1 and #2 the shading was done with a different layers of the stencil. For #3 I added the shading to each layer. So, I did all the florals with a light blue ink, then used a smaller blending brush to add the darker tones with the same stencil. Then repeated for the greens. I do like that it looks like I could have used Copics, but it was much easier and quicker.
Foiling...that is a super challenge for me. I've only foiled about 6 times, but none of them have been as easy as any of the YouTubers make it look. I've foiled my glimmer plates, toasted my fingertips, over foiled and had spotty foiled images. I'd say I had two semi-successful attempts (one of which I used on card #3).
In the last Pink Fresh class, every card was a floral. I felt burnt out on florals by the end. I have been meaning to post photos of all the cards I created in that class, but never got around to it. I'll do that this afternoon. The card were gorgeous, but when done as instructed, I thought they were a little repetitive.
I wouldn't attempt to do the SCT and the Pink Fresh classes back to back (or at least not in real time) and if you want to try and keep up. But, since they are all recorded and you can do the replays whenever, I say go for it. The Pink Fresh class I felt had a more relaxed schedule. With a lunch time baked in, 2 hours for each class. Only 2 days and 3 classes per day.
