pinklady great cards! Is that an edge punch you used on the dad card to get the lines? The colors on the mom card are fabulous together!

scrapnnana the Mickey cupcake is cool! And the cwr card is awesome. Is there a tutorial for that somewhere? I can see how it works in my head but wanted to see if there was a how to video or post.

Well, I got playing with layered stencils for the first time and I feel like a whole new world has opened up. This could be trouble with a capitol T I can't wait to play more! Made this one for my house cleaner who I had to let go recently (due to 5k in vet bills, with another 3k surgery scheduled for October 6) over the last 6 weeks. Having a house cleaner has been a lovely indulgence over the past 5 years. I'll miss it (and her)! My card is kind of a mix of several examples on their website, and the video they have posted really helped me with blending the inks: www.pinkfreshstudio.com/products/fall-foliage-stencil

Cute cute cards pantsonfire ! That witchy one especially speaks to me I love seeing another newbie card maker getting excited about creating! I used to make cards years ago (like early 2000's till about 2008). I have decided to get back into card making and love all the new products! It has been fun to play around with different techniques and learning about various ones and ways to use supplies.

Gorgeous card!! Love all the colors you chose. Question - did you hand cut it out or did it have a matching die set?

pantsonfire, that ghost card is cute too! Regarding the stencils, they are die cut. I did link the set in my post, so check it out if you're interested. Pink Fresh does a bunch of stencil/die/stamp sets like this. It's a bunch of dies that are connected, so it's just one pass through the machine. I clearly did not line this one up well when I cut it, darn it. The edges of the images are very uneven :/ I'm hoping to do better next time around.

pantsonfire, your Halloween cards are really cute! MichyM, really nice card, love the colors. I think I need to add that stencil to my wishlist. I fell down the Pinkfresh stamp/die/stencil sets rabbit hole a few months ago and there's no looking back. My collection is growing fast.

I broke out the layering stencils too. I wanted to re-use some of the products I received in prior virtual classes. This was one of the sets we received as part of the last Pink Fresh class (Peony Fantasy). I think I've decided I'm not a blue leaves person. I see other folks use them but always wish I had gone green when I attempt teal or blue leaves. These use the Pink Fresh Seamless Floral layering stencils - they were used for one of the make-n-takes from the SCT card class back in March of 2021. I was on the struggle bus with the sentiment and not the biggest fan of any of the ones I used. I'd like to continue going thru some of the sets from prior classes and at least taking a second look at some of the products.

cmpeter , those cards are gorgeous! I need to do that too, go through last year's box and make a few cards with the stencils we got. I haven't made cards for quite a while.

Those are so pretty cmpeter ! I haven’t tried blue leaves yet, but they were used in a couple of images I’ve looked at recently. I think they looks great on your cards, but I do think think that other main color is very important too. Both the red and blue are an equal “strength” and I wonder if maybe a slightly softer but still bright salmon, peach, or another colors along those lines might be more pleasing to you? I have no idea if there are any layering stencils in the C&C stash. I hope so. I’m hooked!

I SOOOO need to come back and leave some love for your gorgeous cards, everyone! I have a couple to share. This first one is pretty rough, but I wanted to "build" a HB for happy birthday out of LEGO pp for my dgs, who even turning 23 still loves his LEGO. It actually went into the mail last week, but I remembered at the last minute to snap a pic. Lego bd by Gramma Dee, on Flickr This second one I put together yesterday. A week or two ago I played with my Spellbinders Glimmer Foil system and some stamps and inks. Didn't really like the overall look of what I wound up with, but yesterday I cut it up into pieces, grabbed a scrap of LYB pp and put together a card for my ddil. The foils I used are gold and copper, but they are showing up black here. foiled fall bd by Gramma Dee, on Flickr

That's probably the ticket. If I venture into blue or teal leaves again, I'll give that a try. grammadee - love the Lego card. My 26 year old son still asks for Legos for Christmas every year.

grammadee and cmpeter, it brings a smile to my face to know that your grown "boys" still like legos! So many fond memories of making creations with my son way back when. Do you still buy them sets as gifts?

Every Christmas...he asks for one of the Star Wars sets. Does your son still collect Pez dispensers?

I have finally joined the mom buys Lego sets club. LOL This is the third year DS is asking for the new interactive Mario Lego set for Christmas. He has Mario and Luigi and this year will get Princess Peach.
