Thank you! The story sounds right up my alley. I have a lot of older friends, spent the afternoon with one today. I love what I’ve read so far. Love love love the older lady character and may want to be her when I grow up. I’m not sure yet, I haven’t read a whole lot yet (first 3 chapters) but love the first impressions.

It’s after midnight. I had to stay up and finish the book. bethany102399 I will take time to leave a well thought out review on Amazon. But Please let your friend know that her book deeply touched me. I bought the kindle version and highlighted 46 times. I love Mrs. Kip and want to be more like her when I grow up. There are shades of Clara in me and spades of her in my bff/mentor. I have older friends a generation ahead of me. We spend a good amount of time together. The way she depicted Mrs. Kip’s desire for independence AND her need for a slower pace and help that isn’t so obvious is helpful to me. The difference between how she sees herself when she is introduced vs a different POV took me by surprise, in a good way. The title was perfect. There’s more but I think it would spoil the story. I’m sooo glad you shared this book with us!

Finished last night and Mrs. Kip is someone I will not forget. Mrs. Kip’s love for all humanity is something we all can use a little more of. Her strength in helping people right to HER end, was remarkable.
Thanks for sharing and I’ll be putting my full review on the 2Peas weekly reading thread, Amazon and Goodreads next week.

I finished the book late last night. I thoroughly enjoyed it but I cried throughout most of it. I mean REALLY CRIED! I’m sure part of the crying was because my husband is in a nursing home and so much of what was betrayed i have seen, etc. But I believe I would have cried even if that were not the case. I did really enjoy it and couldn’t put it down except to blow my nose and wipe my eyes!!!
