So, it has been a long, very painful, few months around my job and the upcoming school year. Due to a major f*ck up by HR, my principal gave my 6th-grade teaching slot to someone else. A 3rd-grade teaching slot at my school became available Monday afternoon, and the principal called immediately and offered it to me. I accepted and now have my own classroom again for the fall. Yay! I can't share the number of tears shed over what has happened since the end of April when I thought that I was set for the fall. I am relieved that, hopefully, it is all behind me now. Anyhow, I will share my Amazon list for setting up my first classroom. Please don't feel obligated to send me anything! Congrats on getting your own classroom! I know it's been a long journey for you to get your credentials in your state. Sorry about the mix-up, but glad you were still able to get a position in your building. I know it's a personal decision, but I'd run towards the third grade position over the sixth grade position. |

Yes! So, in your packaging there should be a slip with a QR code on it. If you scan that, it will take you to an amazon page where you can do a thank you. I'm not sure how the person receives it but I always try to send one if there's a QR included. |

I'm being a hypocrite. On another thread I had stated that I would not post a wishlist, because we're so private and we would take care of ds. Some peas encouraged me to post his list, anyway. I would like to do so, but how can I do it w/o posting our location? Ds reminded me that as a starting teacher he has a pencil(well, not that bad, but ykwim.) He is going to his classroom on Monday and will know what he needs to start, at that time.
