Aloha Peas! I hope everyone had a fun packed summer so far and enjoying this last month before fall arrives. I, myself waiting for October when our temperatures drop and the nice weather is starting. I really like this month's SheetLoad sketch, its simple, no funny measurements and its just a great background for anything. Here is the link to download the sketch youtu.be/yZM12t8ps4wProcess video youtu.be/hG45rVVcVgQAnd for the extra 10 points fussy cut an element for your cards. You can fussy cut around your sentiment or cut a flower or anything else out of a patterned paper. Happy crafting and I'm looking forward to seeing all your beautiful creations. Tagging grammadee.

Thanks, azcrafty! I love the blocked design. Not much crafting for me this week, although I do need to turn out a couple of birthday cards soon...

It looks pretty nice from what I've seen. Looking forward to seeing all the variations. It looks like it would work well with 3x4 cut-aparts which are usually portrait orientation. I don't have much 12x12 paper so I'm hoping it can be adapted to 6x6, perhaps with a cardstock back layer. I'll have to take a closer look.

I'm back with my cards. I decided to make a couple set of cards as gifts. I used the new papers from Joann's . The focal point circles are fussy cut from pp and lightly colored with alcohol markers. http://instagram.com/p/CgwpKEIrVU8

These are great, thanks for sharing! I never got around to last month's sheetload, but will definitely make a point to do August!

Really lovely azcrafty ! I'm just printing out the sketch now. I've watched a couple of CT videos and have some ideas. And I remembered a bunch of 12x12 papers I have that I should definitely try to use for this. I did like this use up the scraps version by Mint Twist Cards though. I might have some 6x6 paper scraps to use up this way too.

This is my August 2022 SLOC. I was so happy to get to use my mid-century looking reindeer paper but one thing I didn't think of ahead of time was how the deer would look on the little 1.5"x2" pieces. If there was no deer face, only hooves and tails, it just didn't look right. I had to cut a different piece of paper and swap two of them for it. Thanks azcrafty for posting.

That is the cutest patterned paper jjpeapea. That vintage looking reindeer is adorable. Wonderful cards. They are so sweet and festive. I was going back and forth on my pp choices too. I try to remember to use smaller patterns when there is a small piece on the sketch. Thank you for always playing and sharing ❤

azcrafty, Your cards are very pretty. I really like the way you offset the sentiments with a black layer. Very classy. I love how professional they look. You do a great job with mixing patterns. joblackford, I like that same design using some 6x6 papers. I may decide to do that. My 12x12 paper always has such large patterns. jjpeapea, beautiful Christmas cards. I had to chuckle about the switching out of some of the deer paper. I guess just the back end of a deer wouldn't be look you were going for. Great way to make it work anyway.

So, I hope this works. It's my first time sharing an image in this forum. Also, I hope you don't mind that I jumped in here and made some cards. I've looked at these threads before but never took the time to check out the videos and sketches. Thought I would give it a try. I don't really like the papers I picked after I started making the cards. It was a little too busy! But live and learn. Lol! I do like pulling a few sheets of paper and having a cutting guide and whipping up some cards! I think I'll have to check out some more.

I think they look fabulous babylou very bright and cheery! It looks like you’ve picked pretty good papers to me. I’m going to speak for everyone and say the more the merrier! Glad you joined in the fun and hope you’ll try out some other Sheetloads or do this one again with different papers. If you end up with extras you don’t love we have a card donation thread pinned on the card board and lots of organizations that would be thrilled to take them off your hands.

I’ve cut my first set and laid them out and discovered that my double sided Doodlebug 12” papers give me the option of flipping one half over the other side so I can actually make 12 different cards from this Sheetload. I wasn’t sure it was going to work but it did! I just need to figure out some sentiments and assemble them.

Welcome babylou!!! We love to have everyone and really love to see new ideas. I love how you used the pp to diecut your sentiments. That polka-dot pp is so pretty. The coral and pink is such a nice color combo. Wonderful cards ! I hope you will comeback next month and play with us again. Thank you for sharing.

Those colors are delicious, babylou! You handled the busy prints like a pro - I wouldn't have thought to die-cut sentiments from those patterned papers, but they look great! Hmmm... I wonder what pp I have that would make dynamic sentiments if I used them for die cuts...

I hope you'll continue sharing I had a stash of that old SEI paper that I hung onto over the years. I used some of it on (I think) the June Sheetloads. I stopped scrapbooking in about 2006-ish, so that's some "vintage" paper we've got!

babylou , I love your cards. Those big sentiments are fabulous! What wonderful dies for a cardmaker. The bright happiness of the colors will brighten the day of many recipients. Very pretty. Here are mine for August. Actually the frog is popped up but it's overcast here and doesn't show that on the photo. Toad-ally Awesome Day

Lovely cards nylene! The frog is very cute, I can see a bit of the dimension if I make the picture bigger, and those sequins add a nice finishing touch. I made some progress on mine today. They're not difficult but we're scraping and painting the exterior of our house this summer, not much time for cards and by the end of the day my hands are not very functional. I took advantage of a random thunderstorm that came through this morning almost done now!

nylene, yours are so cute! The paper choices work so well together, and now I think I need a frog stamp or die just so I can use that sentiment!
