If you started out with cubes, what made you decide to either continue with the cubes or move up to full size pads? I have most of the Pink Fresh colors in the cubes. A couple could use re-inking. I'm trying to decide if I should just start replacing them with full size pads or get re-inkers. I like to do a lot of layered stenciling and stamping. I prefer full size pads. I don't like trying to ink a large stamp with a tiny cube LOL Maybe it's just me....

Now that I have a platform, I’m finding I don’t like inking medium-sized stamps with a full-sized pad — too much opportunity to get ink on the lid.

Love my cubes for inking up sentiments and smaller stamps. I'll use a full size pad if I don't have a cube in that color, though. Prefer the full size pads for ink blending though.

I’m wondering with all the CP minis being sold individually whether it’s better to get the full pads. They’re now only $2 apart. The minis are a space saver but are they a money saver knowing you pretty much need to have a reinker on hand. What do folks think. I have all the minis but the neutrals.

I have several full size pads in various colors, Oxide, Distress, Stampin Up, Studio Calico, and Simon Hurly inks, because they either weren't available or still aren't in mini size. I also have a good variety of Altenew colors in full size that I have slowly picked up as color families were on sale.I have a full set of mini's for "boutique" companies, Pinkfresh and Concord and 9th, and colors for Tailored Expression, and Gina K. I love the variety of inks and colors in a small space, but I feel like ink blending is not optimal using the mini pads. It uses lots of ink and is hard on the pad. I also have a harder time evenly covering larger stamps with the minis.
It was clear to me the Concord and 9th is my favorite and most used color palette and their inks stamp the best for me, and blend like a dream. I finally took the leap and invested in a full set of the regular size Concord and 9th colors last month. I was going back in forth in simply buying refills for the mini or buying the larger pads. I opted off the larger pads, because although I love color variety, I really prefer a larger pad in most stamping and technique situations. With this purchase, I feel like I will have enough color variety between all of my full size pads, that I will probably go back to adding any new colors in the mini size.

I’m no help I like both. I have a full set of pinkfresh and sss positively saturated in full plus distress oxides. I have distress inks in minis, concord and 9th, Gina k, and taylored expressions. When I’m blending I tend to use the full size. Most stamping the minis are much easier to get more precision inking. Not enough room for full size of everything.
Also I like having colors match my card stock and this method allows me a variety of brands and the ability to match my card stock. I like the pinkfresh and sss in full because they come in color families which I much prefer for blending. I also like having the variety for classes so I can usually find a color that matches a color in a class I’m taking

I do have my black inks, pigment white and versamark in full size.
Sorry for the duplicate post I tried to edit and this happened

I think if you have been happy with the minis up until now.....you've already spent the money on them, stick with the minis. Even for full size pads eventually you would need a reinker. Spend your money on that instead (assuming you don't have the ones you will use). ETA: I will also throw in, when I collect one company ink colors. I need the containers to match. I can't be having mismatched sizes of ink. Maybe that does not matter to you. So consider that with my response.

I was quite shocked that the mini inkpads are so expensive, but I have a great storage unit for the minis so I'm going to keep buying them and the reinkers. I do have 1 full sized one to try out before I decided which size works for me and I don't like it at all. Its to big for my hand to handle it comfortably.
