Only 53 more days!
They have sneaks of Jenn Shurkus’ cards up on the Facebook group! While they are “whimsical greetings” I’m so happy to see sunflowers!
Anyone else getting excited? Boxes will be shipping at the end of this month!

I’m excited! I have two friends joining me for the class this time. I’m trying to figure out the best way to rearrange my craft room so we all have a table and can see the TV.

You gonna do the whole weekend together? I’m trying to figure out how I can watch on my tv instead of my iPad.

Yes…all three days. We are on the West coast so we start after the first class is done and do everything with the replays.
I have a cable that connects my laptop to my tv, so we can watch on the larger screen.

Looks a little cutesy for my taste, BUT....I don't hate it I'm sure it'll grow on my once the box arrives.

The Lawn Fawn class was one of the ones I was not looking forward to because I'm not into critters. However, this peek is great that it's not centered around a critter. The sunflowers look large enough to possibly stand on their own. So I'm calling this a win!

Lawn Fawn is generally one of the more cutesy set of card we’ll work on.

I'm excited for September to get here but I still need to finish March's classes. We ended up buying a house the weekend of the March event and I wasn't able to follow along. I'm hoping to have them done before the September event. A friend and I are both signed up and plan to have a weekend together in September.

Buying a house is a pretty good excuse for not doing the classes! I didn't get all of mine finished, either. I plan to finish them when I'm on vacation in the next few weeks and then I'll be all ready for all of the autumn events I signed up for. It's so nice that you have a friend to do the event with, that will make it extra fun. This sneak peak of the Lawn Fawn class is the best one so far out of all of the Lawn Fawn classes I've done at these things. I didn't like the previous stamp sets very much. I love the sunflowers and the squirrel, though!

The next sneak with C&9 is up. I like it, its very simple and looks like will be a great one to make masculine cards with. I love the look of the dimension.

I'm pleasantly surprised that the C&9 image is NOT a split word! Since that's their go to with stamps and dies, I'm very happy!

What does the stencil say? The peek is so small I can’t tell… Oh hey, or Oh hello?

Concord & 9th - I think I like it but the sneak is too small for me to say for sure. Looks interesting and different, though, which is good.

It looks to me that it's a 3 layered sentcil with a die to cut it out( maybe 4 one card has 4 layers), 6 colors- I wonder if they will provide them, a coordinating sentiment stamp set with a banner die and some small star looking dies in 2 or 3 different sizes. Thats my best guess.

In the past C&9 has provide inks. Once it was 3 full size pads and the next time it was 4 cubes.

The Gina K sneak peek is up. It’s Christmas themed. Kind of meh.

The Gina K sneak is not as intricate and layered as the Christmas cards I usually like to make, but it's pretty and I could definitely mass produce these quickly. I'm excited to start my Christmas cards in October.

After the first peek, I've decided I'm not looking at any more of them (that is SO unlike me) . I figure I can be totally surprised by what's the the box, so I think after seeing all the bits and baubs, I'll be super excited to see the project sneaks.

Wait until people start receiving their boxes. The Peek No Peek posts can get a bit overwhelming. I like to be surprised and wait for the official unboxing event.

Yes that is fun. Im on team peek or just rip it open. I like to start the homework early. On my first event I waited to long and I didn't have time to do lots of homework. My friends usually come over for 1 day of their choice and I need to prep for 3 ppl. So I need as much time I can get.

For your first event, I highly recommend opening the box when you get it so you can review the instruction book. The homework doesn't seem like a lot of work but it definitely is. Try to get as much die cutting, heat embossing and stamping done before class. In my opinion it makes the class so much less stressful.

We schedule a homework day and my friends who are doing the class with me will come over and we will all do the homework together.
One of my friends is a peeker. She will look before. I’m not sure about the other.

The more you have done the easier to keep up with the classes. For me being organized is key too. I'm doing this event in my loft where I have a big screen TV and not have to run back and fort for supplies is a huge time saver. And the other thing is to think about...you have more time to color match your supplies to what they are using(markers, inkpads). Unless you are going to buy them, what I don't do.
