I managed to make all the cards from each class today. I’ll share some pictures tomorrow when I can take photos in the daylight.
We started at 10:00 am PST and are just now watching JM’s video.

I just came over to see what you all were up to and spotted this. Clicking the link I don't see any button to add to the cart so I assume that means its sold out. But isn't the point of a pre-order to find out how much demand there is and order that many? Not really a pre-order... oh well. I probably don't want small dies anyway.

I believe Taylored Expressions is having an Advent calendar, too. She mentioned it in her post-program chat last night that they sold out last year and that they would ship out in November. They are in the middle of moving their operations so not sure when it would go on sale.

Ugh. Got bored with CathyZ's cards and went off on my own tangent LOL. Didn't do the third card. I think I'll use this one for a birthday card. While I like the dies/stamps, I think this set is limited in what we can do with it.

Good morning!
I skipped CZ’s class this morning but am ready to roll now! I am determined to finish the Spellbinders cards in the allotted time (did lots of prep) so wish me luck. Oh and also, holy cow, working with glitter is messy with a capital M. Just cutting apart the paper I made days ago has missed up my desk something fierce this morning 😲
Have a great day girls!
ETA: I did it, woohoo! Granted, I prepped the heck out of this class and my desk is a disaster, but I actually Completed 3 cards 😆

Its $50 and you can pre-order starting on October 5th. Sounds like that they have less than 2900 so if you want it better get it on the 5th.

Wow, what a weekend! I got all the C&9, Spellbinders and 1 Hero Arts card complete. I need to finish up the birthday cake card but I messed up my candle card so I need to start over.
I’m sitting out the Pink & Main class but I do have sketches of what I want to do. I’m also gonna make two birthday hat cards a la Jennifer McGuire for twin 5 yr olds.
This has been such a great event. I’m excited to hear about what’s in store for next year.
I’m so glad I too tomorrow off. I still want to play a bit.

I know. I love how organized they are and I have all 3 sizes, just love to use them 😍 I got some from Amazon I like them because they are color coordinate. I haven't used the Gina K ones....im just collecting them🤣. The paper makes a huge difference in my opinion and not the brush.

Cards for today. I made a clear card with the C&9 ....I fast forward that video so I can't tell if she had any good tips and tricks. I loved the Hero Arts one, I was late to this too so didn't watch much of it. I did make a template for stamping all those colorful Hoorays so I was able to diecut everything out of white. Didn't do any of the Pink and Main. I accidentally poured water on my homework and didn't feel like recutting them again.

I did the main classes from the first day and the C-9 class so far. I only had yesterday until 5 to work. I loved everything so far but fast forwarded through most of Cathy’s class as it went way too slow for me. But the card you made is so cute!

azcrafty I also love your clear card—and they’re all lovely of course. On the inside of the card did you back the sentiment with a second die cut sentiment to hide adhesive, do something else or not worry about it? Unrelated, in the past there was chatter about instructors going too fast, so CZ may have been responding to that, or for new paper crafters. She’s not a speed demon anyway, which I enjoy when my brain needs to quiet down. BTW, you all probably know this but just in case, speed on youtube videos can be adjusted in replays.

Regarding the blender brushes - I buy most off of mine off of AliExpress or Amazon, and they're just like the name brand ones. I also have the Gina K ones, and some Simon ones, and they're exactly the same regarding blending ability. I recently bought small ones for stencils and I just love them, I ended up buying about a dozen of them so I have one for each colour. They're these, the third graphic in, the "10 pc mini brushes": www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004011358146.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.0.0.672418027xMVj3They made using the Taylored Expressions stencils so easy and quick, and I find they are way easier on my wrists and hands - much less effort is required to get plenty of colour. I couldn't do any of the classes yesterday, unfortunately, but generally I like starting Saturday and Sunday with slower paced classes - both Gina K and Cathy Z make it easy to keep up. They're good for warming up for the day. I'm really enjoying seeing everyone's card samples, tfs.

Beth I did backed everything with a white cs diecut. I don't like adhesive showing. So I ended up with 3 white cs and the one on the front. I even backed the dimond shapes and the banner. Her video did same super slow lots of time goofing and singing around. And that was maybe only the first 25 minutes I watched while she created the first card. Than I jumped to the end, to Live. She was talking about a lazy Susan thing so I will have to go back and check that one out, I think it goes with the Gemini? Not sure.

She was talking about a lazy Susan thing so I will have to go back and check that one out, I think it goes with the Gemini? Not sure. I don’t like adhesive showing either. CZ and others put their Gemini Junior on the 9x11 Totally Tiffany Rotating Design Board (not the larger 12x12 one). Since there’s no platform at the back of the Gemini, plates need to be grabbed as they come out. Swiveling the machine around can be handy. (I just put a shallow box I happened to have behind the Gemini so if I don’t want to grab the plates they slide onto the box. But it’s on a front corner of my computer desk so plates are also easy to get.) She also got a rotating tower for re-inkers (?) that’s for essential oils. It’s this brand but don’t know if it was this specific one since there are several different sizes. www.amazon.com/JACKCUBE-DESIGN-Rotating-Essential-Organizer/dp/B07ZJ4Z3P1/ref=sr_1_1?crid=1LVUGOB195AQ9&keywords=J+JACKCUBE+DESIGN+Rotating+Essential+Oil+Display+Stand+Spinning+Rack+for+75+Bottles%28up+to&qid=1664810982&qu=eyJxc2MiOiIwLjcwIiwicXNhIjoiMC4wMCIsInFzcCI6IjAuMDAifQ%3D%3D&sprefix=j+jackcube+design+rotating+essential+oil+display+stand+spinning+rack+for+75+bottles+up+to+%2Caps%2C49&sr=8-1Egads, long link, sorry. But guessing from what you said it was the rotating design board. I had one—given to participants in a Stamp & SB Expo class—but dumbly donated it. It’s wood, very sturdy. And some people use it for the intended purpose. It can be handy not having to repeatedly move a card by hand when wanting to avoid areas that aren’t dry if using wet mediums.

How did you enjoy your first Crop&Create MichyM ? Overall, I liked it a lot. I have some nitpicky things I'd like to see improved, but overall I'm quite happy. I learned tips and techniques that will be super helpful moving forward, and just spending a weekend creating was fun. How about you?!? And everyone else? Having nothing to compare it to myself, I'd love to know everyone else's thoughts, particularly those who have participated more than once.

I enjoyed the weekend and made lots of cards! I think I made most of the cards in the classes with the exception of Brutus Monroe & Crafter's Companion. With Crafter's Companion, I did get the base of the box card made so I just need to add the decorative papers. I also did a bit of watercoloring with their markers but I need to take my time so I'll wait to work on those more later. I also skipped the candles card that Laura Bassen taught - again I need more time to concentrate & keep my line straight - any tips azcrafty?? Yours looks great! I really loved the Taylored Expression stencil set and now I have some Fall cards ready to go!! I loved the results of the Spellbinders cards but all the tiny pieces and assembling....my goodness! The cards are so pretty though!! They will have to go to my "card worthy" friends/family LOL!! I attended the Spring event as well and I really loved both events. I learned some new techniques and got to play with some fun, new products. I especially love when Jennifer McGuire does her video and mixes everything up - so many great ideas!! I'm going to Scrapbook Expo here on Friday and attending the Pinkfresh virtual card making event this weekend - so happy to keep my crafty mojo going!!

Here is my photo dump of the weekend. I liked the event...I'm less crazy about the Friday make-n-takes. I only did three of the 8 we had. I do want to go back and do the Honey Bee one (well, at least one of the cards from that one). First...this is my room normally I had two friends join me and we wanted to be able to see each other and the TV. DH and a folding table to the rescue. We did a little re-arranging and it feels like we should all have plenty of space. It's amazing how quickly that empty table space fills up. At this point I have piles of things on the floor by my feet too. But, it was a lot of fun doing the classes together.

Cards from the classes I completed. I did most of them following the instructions, made a few tweaks. But, didn't stray too far from the class. The ones I like, I'll go back sometime this year and put my own spin on them. Saturday Gina K Mama Elephant - I added Glossy Accents to the bunny glasses for some shine, looks cool in person Taylored Expressions - can't wait to try some other color palettes. Lawn Fawn

Sunday Concord & 9th - I wasn't the biggest fan of this set. Probably the colors. Spellbinders - totally messed up the greeting in the middle card. There were some very cool color variations shared in the group for the ornament and poinsettia cards, I will definitely play more with those dies. Love the little elf...I have the snowman too. I might make a couple for some of the little ones in my life...maybe, I need to recover first. Hero Arts - I adore the instructor. Not a big fan of how my cards turned out. I was tired and feel I messed up the alignment on all three. I would like to play around with the stamps more. I didn't do the Pink and Main, but did the homework and will get around to those at some point. I have a 5 day retreat coming up in 10 days and will have plenty of crafty time.

mbanda I just drew a light line with a pencil that after I was done I erased. I used a stamping platform for stamping. I decided on the colors and lined them up front of me so I didn't have to think about them. I started in the middle. I didn't watch the video so I'm not sure how Laura did it. For the rainbow colored hooray and birthday I created this template and glued it in my stamping platform. This way you can just pop in a blank die cut and stamp it with different colors. It makes it easy . In my Gemini I can die cut 2-3 layers of cs at one time.

cmpeter your set up its perfect for crafting together. Everyone looks so happy. Your cards are awesome! MichyM this is my 3rd C&C and loved it. My first virtual event it was with Concord and 9th and it was a lot of fun. Greg the owner just did a great job keeping us going. Lots of joking around. What I loved about that one, that all 6 teachers plus Greg it was on the screen at the same time and interacted with all the attendees. It was a big party. Loved that set up a lot ,but for more money you have only 6 classes. CardBoxer what do you think? C&C or C&9th ? I want to try the Pinkfresh one this coming year.

C&9’s first Summer Camp was hilarious—like the video of the camping trip that Greg and Jennifer McGuire took. 😜 Even my DH laughed when I replayed it for him. And parts were so poignant, like when each teacher talked about her background and growing up, some with very difficult stories. The games and being split into teams was fun, the teaching good, by and large, and products high quality. We got the first watercolors, remember? The main card theme—camping—wasn’t my style, and some other projects weren’t either. But for quality and entertainment they win an Oscar. With so many companies participating in C&C, even if a third of the cards weren’t my style, I’d still get more than my money’s worth with so many classes and so much product. I like the teacher talks after the classes and appreciated FB albums and chatting, especially last March when I couldn’t move my arm much. BTW, I’ve heard great things about the Pink Fresh events and I love some of their products. But many flower products seem similar. So I decided expensive events by one company weren’t the best fit. Unless someone changes my mind.
