MichyM what is the name of the ctmh set? Im assuming it was an exclusive for cc&d. I'm going to keep an eye out for it in a few months in case anyone is trying to get rid of it. TIA Hi the stamp set is D2140 - Sending Good Vibes. Never had heard of the company before the event but really impressed with these sentiment stamps (and that’s even with using a TH platform … but I’ve made a few mods with fun foam and sticky paper.) There are two more sentiments that are in the set as well. Not sure if they were an exclusive to the C&C event, but it looks like it was I didn’t see it on their site. I also liked how they used 6X6 paper to make the layouts. I have way too many 6X6 pads. So I’ve been looking to make my own combos.

Some of the companies wait until after an SCT event and then release stamp/die sets to the public. In one event last year Concord & 9th included a bunch of liquid watercolors in the box that match their CS and they hadn’t been released yet either.

I already have so many watercoloring mediums

It’s the whole exclusive thing. Well, exclusive for a while. I didn’t get the other colors either, and ditto about having so many aka too many watercolor sets and mediums that could be used for watercoloring.

REGISTRATION FOR THE MARCH CARDMAKING EVENT OPENS NOVEMBER 1ST!
Who’s gonna sign up? Looks like they’ll have 15 main classes over four days.

It depends on which companies they are including. Does anyone have more info on that?

I keep hoping they will release the class list and instructors for the Spring 2023 event. I'm sure they will release one or the other if not both before the sign up starts... My fingers are crossed that Jennifer McGuire will teach a full class (probably wishful thinking but you never know).

Usually it’s eight regular and then about 8 extras/mini’s, some that feel like regular classes aka maxi’s! I may pass again; my stash is way too big (donated another box to Life4Animals in MD this past weekend) and some content isn’t the best match. But for alumni it’s not hard to get in later, so will leave the door open.

I totally missed this in one of the emails SCT sent and found it posted in the FB group.
I need to see which companies are participating. I may skip it and do the Pink Fresh weekend instead.

REGISTRATION FOR THE MARCH CARDMAKING EVENT OPENS NOVEMBER 1ST! This time of year I don't usually have alot of extra cash to spend on me. I asked my family for gc's from SCT for Christmas. So in the new year I can start looking at events. Hoping there will be some spots left for the spring event then.

I felt overwhelmed by 8 main classes and other classes as mini classes. So 15 main classes seems too much but still intrigued to see which companies they have for march event.

I'm interested to see the line up. Sounds to me that they just split the Friday classes for 2 days instead all in one day. And instead of 1 hour they will give them 1.5 hours plus the half on hour on FB.
I hope the price stays the same , what in my opinion should. We already said that those mini classes were more like the main ones, just shorter. Got all the goodies for them too.

Maybe mainly a reconfiguration since most “extra” aka mini classes are like the regular ones. As for the line-up guessing it will be similar to previous events, maybe with a couple new people/companies who may stay or leave. Like Amy from The Stamp Market was there once and didn’t return, not that I blame her. I liked her, and she had kind of a twist on standard techniques.

I'm worried about the price too. This was a response by SCT on the 10/17/22 email post.

It will still just be three days. Thursday is only supposed to be an evening kick off, no classes.

They’ll have the event details available Oct 31st. I’m hoping the price increase isn’t too much.

I expected an increase. I did the fall 2021 and the spring 2022 and there was a jump in price. Hopefully it's not too much. Can't wait for the details on the 31st.

For those wondering about the cost, below are the prices from the past events. Prices for everything are going up and I'm sure SCT purchases most of the products, even if it's only at cost. Plus shipping costs, too. SCT is a business and they have to make some profit, which I totally support. But...I think it's already pricey for sight un-seen product (sneak peeks don't come out until a month before the event), but so far the variety and quality of the box has been good. I do like the excitement that goes along with the classes though. If it increases to over $300 I'm out.
This is in USD for US shipping, other countries might be different. Mar 2021 - $243 Oct 2021 - $268 Mar 2022 - $278 Oct 2022 - $288

Sorry, thinking on this some more. It would be cool if they offered the classes at a discount without the purchase of the box. Maybe even after the event. So you could buy the classes (or individual classes) and use products from your stash and getting the YT class links via email. I have so many stamps, dies, stencils (that I don't use!) I could easily come up with something that fit the class.
I think more people would be able to participate and some newbies would likely to sign up for a full box at a future event.

Justine Hovey, Laurel Beard, Ardyth Percy-Robb and a couple other instructors hold an “Eat Sleep Crafty Retreat” now and then, which is two days, costs $49.00, and they encourage people to shop their stash. Supplies are not provided. I only attended the first one, and they provided a pdf with pictures of the cards and supplies used. The next one is November 19/20. One fun/silly part was participants submitting restrictions for the instructors via the chat for Card Wars—like making a card one handed, or only using certain materials. And some participants did it too—I think with extremely short time restrictions. Maybe I’ll post this separately from this thread but you reminded me of it, GiantsFan , so thanks. Justine just sent an email out about it. shop.laurelbeard.org/ffc8ea85-d228-404b-9ddf-dd260d39885bETA Corrected date

She charges (I just checked) $30 for the resources - video instruction, coloring guide handout, supply list. Which for her classes is a really good value. I like taking her classes.
