Thank you for this thread. For several months I've felt like I don't even have much to say because I haven't been scrapping.
I chose:
Not enough time, and
No place to spread out and play with paper.
But it's really so much more than that.
What was my space is now my adult child's bedroom. All my stuff, save for a small tote, is in the basement, packed away in layers of thick plastic garbage bags, then in lidded plastic totes.
My space was where I would destress. Turn on music, a movie, pull out paper, play a game on the tablet, have Peas open in a tab. Bounce back and forth to things I like to do, all while in privacy, and peace and quiet. I'd spread out my photos, paper, embellishments. Stamp. Make messes. Be able to leave things out in progress.
And as for not enough time....
Well, I work outside the home. I still have a couple of elementary school aged kids. I have an adult child attending college, and another adult child figuring things out. And I'm caring for my elderly father, who has severe depression after the death of his wife (my mother).
I'm just drained.
I've been trying to remember to take some photos, though I've been pretty bad at remembering to print them
I'm hoping at some point I'll be back in a place in life that I can just sit down and relax and scrap again.

(((((HUGS))))) LavenderLayoutLady. Sounds like a lot on your plate. Is there any way you could carve out an hour or two a week just for you to decompress? I don't mean scrap, unless that is something that really helps with that process. But just some "ME" time? Can you make a date with yourself to stop at a coffee place for an hour or so after work one day every week and just veg? If thinking about scrapping helps, maybe carry a notebook with lists of pages you would like to do "sometime" or photos you would like to remember to take? But the main thing is to just find a time and place on a regular basis for you to unwind... You are taking care of everyone. You need to remember to take care of you.
