I love how she said something to the effect of, the average person can't walk into a bank and lie about the value of their assets in order to get a better interest rate or deal. Those aren't her exact words, but that is the gist of it. And it's so true. When the average person wants to buy a house or get insurance or whatever, we don't get to inflate our assets in order to get a better deal. Us peons have to show proof of all those things.

I can't even tell you all the argument DH and I got in on Saturday over all of this. He was just spouting the talk they give on Fox. I told him that is all he watches. And his friends/Fraternity brothers all think the same and only talk about the same. Think old white men of certain affluency. Except my DH. Who has lost 2 very well paying jobs to certain afflictions. "certainly not his fault". He said he hadn't even heard of some of the stuff I was listing, that I must get from all those "way left liberal sites you visit all day on your phone". Well, no you wouldn't. Told him he should watch several other channels, check out twitter. Y'all it was just ridiculous! And my mother is just as bad.
I come here for my sanity to read what all you have to say and think. I also have to leave because I get so angry at the rest of the country who lives with their heads stuck in the sand. It's a fine delicate balance when I have promised myself to just stay silent at home as it will do no good. But my face, y'all my face...gets me every time.
