Never have any pain. It's one of the quickest easiest tests I get done, I'm in and out in less than 15 mins.
No stickers here either.

So I just had one done last month and it wasn’t nearly as bad as the first time. The way the imaging is done, the camera rotated around about 3/4 of the way. I was telling the tech it wasn’t terribly uncomfortable and she said that machine was designed by female engineers I’m like yup that makes a difference. I was in and out in about 15 minutes. Also no nipple stickers but I did have a sticker for a scar, damn underwire got me about 20 years ago and left a nasty gash.

Lexica you really need to call and complain about how you were treated by the technician. There’s no reason for her to not listen to you about your medical needs. She was disrespectful and rude and someone should know. Also tell your primary if they are the ones who referred you. I would tell them to find another imaging center for you.

TBH, I think the worst part is the "STOP BREATHING..... BREATHE..... HOLD YOUR BREATH." lol - I'm always panicked that I'm gonna fuck it up! Or pass out due to nerves!!!

My very first one did and then after that not so much. I refuse to go back to the lady from the first year (I wrote her name down)
When I realized the difference between my first one hurting for a couple days and subsequent ones not - it showed me it DOES make a difference who does it.
I feel like some of them tighten just a little too much on that last crank.

The first time I had one I got called back for a 2nd one like so many do their first time. The 2nd set of images hurt much more. The technician warned me that they would be squishing the boobies more and they definitely did. Since then it’s just been more uncomfortable than painful.

That’s one of the only benefits of having had breast cancer and flap reconstruction. No more mammograms! But I'm kinda hacked that I never got pretty stickers.

I've only had one so far and it was uncomfortable but not painful. I remember years ago an aunt had ine dine and was doing something a few days later and complained of her sore/bruised boobs. I bruise easily but I didn't from a mammogram.

I thought the same when I had mine in February - not as painful as usual. But I've had chemo since the last one and apparently that changes the breast tissue. I kind of assumed that was the reason, but maybe it isn't?

I've never had pain. The last tech said I have easy breasts to scan. I don't get stickers either.

I've had quite a few in my life and it has never hurt. I'm a C cup with dense breasts, if that matters.

I must be gluten for punishment. I went in for my PAP and Dr. asked if I had my mamo yet, nope. So she put in a request and I called when I got home. Just my luck, they had an appointment for that afternoon. PAP was more painful than the mamo. I have a titled cervix and this Dr. didn't listen to me when I told her this, so took a little extra pressure. Mamo I was in and out within 15 minutes and no pain at all.

They hurt me from the position that includes the skin from underarm. That hurts like a mother for a day or so after too.

I've been getting them since I was in my 20's and I'm 59 now. I had pain just once-the gal was brand new and made the machine smash more than she was probably trained to do.

I was told that the new imaging machines do not require the amount of pressure that used to be necessary. I told the tech - at my last mammon's - I could take more pressure but she said it isn't necessary with the new machines. It was totally no big deal!

No stickers here either. But then again, we don't get stickers when we vote... Must be an Upper Left thing? ![](http://i1168.photobucket.com/albums/r481/2peasrefugees/Smilies/roflmao.gif)

While not fun they're not painful for me. It can be a bit uncomfy. I don't focus on the discomfort, because I'm too focused on the reason that I have to get the thing in the first place.
