The best part of doing this (so far) was that I finally used up almost all of my black and white cardstock scraps. I didn't think I'd ever get through them but this project was the perfect chance for me to die cut and stamp all the things.

Hi! I haven't permanently disappeared, I just haven't spent a lot of time here on the board this week. I'm sorry I didn't get the package in the mail this morning. I spent the day helping a neighbor clean and dry out their house after it flooded Friday when we got hit with the hurricane. Time got away from me and I didn't make it to the post office. I've got the package ready to go and I'll drop it off first thing Monday. I did snap a sneak peek a few days ago when I was assembling my project. I can't wait to see the beautiful projects you all put together!  |

Glad to hear you and your neighbor are safe after the hurricane. That storm was crazy! I am sorry to hear there was flooding in your area.

I have been in a creative funk for a while, and was collecting supplies instead of using them. This project gave me a little crafty mo-jo back and gave me a reason to create. Grateful to have been included. I am excited to see everyone's makes!!!! |

The best part for me was buying super fun supplies! I've not done any scrappy October stuff before so this was a great way to stock up on some goodies.

It was really nice to be excited about an idea then just start making it immediately. I used my stash for this swap, and it was nice to revisit my holiday papers and organize it all. I promptly bought the new Fancy Pants Halloween collection after finishing these pieces. I didn't have much Halloween paper to choose from originally... so I am just preparing for next year's Halloween swap now. 😉 |

It allows us to be creative and come up with something unique. I think if we do a Christmas/Winter swap, I will do a 4x6 and 3x4 card. |

I do not scrapbook anymore, traditionally or PL, and so I tend to like the 5 x 7 rule. But, on the other hand, if most of you guys want things you can use in some type of album, I completely understand more rules. |

I also know of a couple more people who want to join so we can't do 12 days of Christmas. And doing 24 of anything to do like an advent calendar thing is just too much. I'm thinking we could do 13 again as there are 13 Santa's in Iceland. Very strange though. |

The last swap has arrived. I have to finish out my workday then I'll sort and pack. I'm hoping to catch the postman tomorrow but if he won't take them, I'll bring them to the post office.

Now that these packages are out the door, I'm ready to do it again!
I'm definitely going to host a Christmas swap: The 13 Santas of Iceland.
Deadline to postmark: Nov. 10 if you live in the US.
Rules: nothing larger than 5X7 and please keep it secular.
It doesn't have to have anything to do with Iceland although any and all Yule Cats are welcome.
In fact, the 13 Santas of Iceland seem like a bunch of gross jerks so we're really just looking for a good number here and 12 days of Christmas just isn't very original.
I'm posting here first as I've loved doing this with all of you!
Let me know if you're interested and I'll add you to the list.
