And do you make any for donation?
Honestly, in my orbit, not many send cards any more :/ So other than taking 2019 off, I’ve been participating in the Pea card exchange since 2017, and thoroughly enjoy it. Originally i did the full-blown one, but it got so large that it felt like a chore to me so now I do the one with under 50 participants. It’s much more manageable to me.
Then I send another (up until this year store bought) 15-ish to friends and family. Do you personally buy, or do you make cards for non card makers? If you make them, how do you get over the “sending handmade so not good enough” thoughts?
Over the past few months I’ve probably made 60+ to donate as well. So this year I guess I’ll end making a total of 125 (or more if I up my donate game).
Who’s next?

I’ve done the Peas holiday card swap twice now, and I enjoy it! I haven’t decided whether to do it again this year.
I do send hand made cards to my family and friends. They all know I like making them and I always get compliments. Why buy them when you can make them with the $400 worth of craft supplies you have? 🤪

I've never donated them, but definitely could. Thank you for that idea! I've done the 2peas holiday card exchange 2 or 3 times over the years and intend to play along again. It's been so much fun doing the seasonal card swaps on the board this year. I haven't come across anyone that looks down on handmade cards, at least not that I know of. If someone ever made a negative comment I would remove them from my recipient list. One less for me to make!

I make my holiday cards and we send them to about 60-70 people. Everyone is waiting for it and unfortunately I can't buy them anymore 😄 If I don't send a handmade card for holidays or birthdays the recipient comments that they are not on the favorite list anymore. I have participated in the '20 holiday card swap and it was a lot of fun , but it was 115 cards or close to it. That was a lot to make , so this year I might join the one it's capped at 50. I have donated before too and planning to recycle old cards and donate them if I have time. joblackford does this and I think its a brilliant idea.

I’m finished. I only made 17 this year because I went overboard last year so I have more then enough. I’ve never done the 2Peas exchange and unfortunately I have too much going on over the next two months to participant this year, maybe next year.

Excellent question! I make about 30 for friends and family. Last year two neighbors and their daughters and me and my daughter got together and made cards for everyone on our block. Then they had the idea to make cookies as well, so we all made cookies then got together and made assortments. We split up the deliveries. People who were home when we delivered the cards and cookies seemed quite pleased.

I don’t do the holiday swap or donate holiday cards. But, I make about 50 holiday cards to send to friends and family.

I generally make 125 to 150 Christmas cards each year. The last 2 years I made about 50 or so. This year I haven't made any because I simply don't have the time.

I send out about 40 cards to friends and family and Peas/IG friends who send me lovely greetings each year. I stopped doing the Pea swap mostly because it was a lot of incoming cards to manage, a little bit because of the drama. I still have a good sized stack of Pea cards to chop up and rework into cards to donate. I don't like to waste them.
Also because of glitter. I hates it, and Peas loves it. lol.
I would prefer to streamline my personal cards by sending a photo card, maybe with a creative touch, but I have too many cardmaker friends on my list now who don't want to see my face, they want craftiness. That's cool, I only do it because I enjoy it. But I do have a few people who want the photo card not the crafts, so I get a little grinchy at having to do both. I'm not good at only making one design and I waste a lot of energy deciding who gets what and I don't have that kind of energy to spare over Christmas. I need to do it in October or November.
I receive a couple of dozen cards each year - a few are from people I actually know IRL and a couple are from family. Most are from Peas or IG friends.
I make or upcycle ~150-300 cards for charity, usually a medium or flat rate box full, sometimes two. I think I made closer to 300 one year, but a lot were Pea cards that I chopped the fronts off and attached to new bases, with a stamped greeting inside. When I did the Caring Hearts drive they also had to have a greeting and signature which I handwrote, ouch. I think I have 200-odd ready to mail to Bring Smiles to Seniors this year, a lot of Sheetloads. Not sure if Caring Hearts will come back this year or not but I'm not sure I'll participate anyway.

My total list to send cards to is 42. The list for family and close friends is 14. So I make a minimum of 14 and a max of 42. Last year my card design was way too complicated. There were way too many labor intensive steps. And I was over it pretty early on. I switched to an easy stamp and embossed design and sent those to the entire list.
I did finish the complicated design this year and sent them for donation. I think I was just over them.
Oh, and I prefer to send the same design to everyone so I don't send a card design to the same family the next year. There might be slight changes but the overall card is the same.

LOL about the glitter. TG the card exchange drama is over. If any of the card-making Peas are up to sharing their address privately, I'd love to send to some of you who don't participate in the "official" card exchange - without the expectation of receiving a card in return. Y'all have taught me so much, and have been so helpful to me with this fun hobby. Sending a little crafty cheer to you would make me happy

I make and send about 25 cards each year. I did participate in the 2Peas swap 2 years ago but didn't last year (postage is so expensive in Canada) but my husband really missed getting the cards so is urging me to sign up again this year - we'll see, I'm not sure if I can take it on. Now that I know there is a swap capped at 50 that might be more doable, though.

I honestly don't know how many I usually make. I have a list of family and friends I send to (maybe 30?) and then the last couple years I've sent to the birthday card exchange peas and pokey peas. I have done the big 120+ exchange a couple times, but it is a lot. Some years I give cards to my co-workers depending on how many cards I make. I basically make cards as long as it's fun. I rarely do more than 6 the same; although, this year I found a sheetload of cards design I love, so I've been using the same base but different papers and focal images. I have made 36 so far, but we'll see how it goes.

I make about 20-25 cards for family and friends and the last few years have participated in the 2 Peas card swap making about 50-60 cards for that. I'd like to do more but the cost of stamps from here just makes the cost prohibitive.

I made and have sent off about 130 cards to the Canadian troops. I have about 35 made to send out to friends and family. I haven't decided if I will do the holiday swap this year yet...have to figure out the budget for stamps.

I am totally new to card making. It's my goal to make 22 Christmas cards to help use up some of my stash. There are 15 done so far. Also in my 22 goals was to make 22 Valentine cards, so maybe I should work on that to send in 23, also to use up stash.

I make about 125 Christmas cards. I work with about 60 people, my husband owns a small business so I make for them too, I have a large family, and then I send to my close friends and my son’s teachers. I work on it throughout the year as I don’t usually repeat designs.
