I liked both classes so far. Can I just say that Laura's cards are more on the flat side. When you have a class called Dimension is life , I was waiting for more layers and ...well , Dimension.
What does H to H means?

I was trying to figure that out for the longest time, and then I realized she was saying "edge". I love her work but I have to admit I had some trouble following her. There was a lady in the comments who seemed to be freaking out and I felt a bit bad for Yasmin, it's got to be tough teaching and trying to keep up with comments and everything, too.

I’m loving the both the classes this morning, and the results so far. Unfortunately, I felt like Laura unnecessarily rushed us through her class, she started wrapping up a full 40 minutes before it was supposed to end. I felt that way about Laura's class, too, although I was okay with the pace I did feel like she wanted to get out of there. I wondered if it was because of the other class she was doing for Bearly Arts Glue, if she overcommitted herself. Overall, I'm really happy with the cards I made today. Heather's class was perfect, she's an excellent teacher. I like Laura's teaching, too, and really like the cards. I found Yasmin difficult to follow and only finished the first card, but I'm halfway through the second and will hopefully finish it tonight. My son interrupted to say he was breaking up with his girlfriend so that kind of threw my concentration!

Ok, that makes sense. Thanks. Yes she messed me up a little bit how to glue the tag down, but it worked out ok at the end and ended up with 2 cards. I didn't do the fruit stenciling, just used the washi.

azcrafty, your cards are incredible! I love that you've made so many. Did you do them all today? I like the Washi tape on the second card of Yasmin's rather than the stencilling (which is what I did).
I've only done the 2 cards per class so far, but I intend to keep going after this Sunday and do the make and takes and really get my use out of the sets.

Thank you marg. I made all my cards yesterday and I just finished for today. I didn't make 1 make and take. I will play with that this week. My laundry is wanting. I loved this event. Least favorite part is the watercoloring just because I'm so bad at it. My absolute favorite set is the mushrooms 🍄 😍. How did you do today? What was your favorite class?

azcrafty Love your cards!! I finished all the classes & cards except for the watercolor class. I had a prior engagement during that time so I will watch that video this week and attempt the watercoloring! I thought the event was great overall. I loved Jennifer's class mixing up the different products. Such a fun weekend!!

Wow what a weekend! Here’s a long review for all of you who are temped but are concerned about the price. It was expensive but I totally believe we got our moneys worth.
Class 1 – The flower part of the stamp set is OK but I really like the font of the big main sentiments. I don’t color images so I am so thankful that there was a stencil set for the stamp. I like that we got two versions of the jar, that was a great design decision. The tip of arranging/gluing the flowers on a “bottom” jar and gluing a “top” pretty jar was genius. I never would have thought of that on my own. 😊
Class 2 – I love this set mainly because it was designed to be so versatile. The fact that they provided the detailed die to cut all the pieces was great! I agree with others, there sure wasn’t very much dimension for a class called dimension is life. I really like Laura Bassen’s cards and watching her videos but I’m not really liking her as a teacher…which is something that I never thought I’d say.
Class 3 – I have to admit my first thought was oh jeez, this washi tape trend is so dumb, just give us the stencils. 😆 After working with the product, I LOVE THE WASHI TAPE TREND! I have $200 worth of washi coordinating products in my Pink Fresh cart right now! I wish I would have worked with this product while the coupon code was valid! I loved the class and thought the interactive die was well thought out. I never would have figured out how to make the dies work without someone showing me on a video but once I put it together it was really simple.
Side note, I recently started following Yasmin on Instagram. Her cards are AMAZING!
Class 4 – I started this class late because 7am was just too early to try a technique that I don’t like. I attempted to watercolor but it looked like I painted it with my feet so I just stopped and trashed it. I’m so glad they gave us stencils for this set. I ended up making the cards with similar colors but using the stencils. Needless to say, this was my least favorite class. I like the products we got but I just don't like the watercoloring process.
Class 5 – This was my favorite class of all. OMG the mushrooms! I LOVE this stencil set. It was perfectly put together with the single die. I think the main thing that appeals to me is that it really is fool proof. I don’t think you could make those mushrooms look ugly. I really like the terrarium die as well. I’ve been looking at a cloche stamp and die set from another company and just never pulled the trigger. I’m so glad I didn’t because this one is so much better.
Class 6 – I really liked Jennifer’s class. Using stencils flipped over to get the mirror image is one I’ve seen her do but never attempted myself. I thought that was a great technique to teach and it was super easy with this set. I also liked that she did a different style fold for her card. I didn’t do the second card. It’s cute and different but for some reason it just didn’t wow me. I love the make & take and think that should have been her card #2 and the pocket card the make & take. I know Jennifer was nervous but she did a great job teaching even though this was way out of her comfort zone.
This was my first Pink Fresh event and to be totally honest I was worried it was going to be just way too flowery all the way thru. I am happy to say it was not. I thought the price was steep but we got 5 complete collections of products (stamps/stencils/dies) not to mention the extra bag with sentiment stamps & dies, the interactive die and the braided frame die. I know PF is known for their foiling but I am so glad there was no hot foiling in this event. I think giving us the foiled ephemera was better.
I really liked that they had a moderator in each class so the instructor was not worried about the comments and was more focused on teaching. This is something that Crop & Create needs to address.
My only complaint for the weekend is that I hate that it was all on Facebook. Facebook is too glitchy and I had to refresh a couple of times because the screen froze. I wish the lives were on YouTube instead.
I hope companies continue to do virtual events like this now that the world is opening back up. I really enjoy crafting with ALL my supplies at my fingertips. I would definitely attend another PF event.
I’ll try to get pics of my cards later today.

I agree with pinklady. Loved this event, the cards come together easy and they look very impressive. Even my DH loved them, he said they looked all very unique. I made them all birthday cards and I'll send them to my SIL. She has been hinting that she is almost out of cards. I'm sure to sign up again, I might wait until the sneaks come out and than do it. They opened up registration window like 4-5 times. Is that how this goes usually? One more question. Are the Pinkfresh dies thinner than other companies? I noticed that I had to use an extra shim with all the dies. I don't remember having that problem with my other PF dies.

I think all your cards turned out beautiful pink lady and Arizona crafty. I’m hoping to do the classes this weekend. I did the creative crate from firefly farm last weekend so couldn’t do both.

I hope this works, I’m going to post a link (once in IG you need to scroll) to a few of my favorite cards from the weekend. Overall, I really enjoyed this event. It’s laid back, without all the hoopla and angst of the other card making workshop I’ve participated it. Plus, I actually like the products, and will reuse them many time. I was able to keep up, and the amount of homework was not overwhelming. I thought the Dimension is Life class was dull, and we learned nothing new. I love the *magical* mushrooms set/class so much (though I hate that pink/blue condo and instead used yellow and green). I need to come up with more cute sayings for it for sure. I think the Nothing But the Best set is gorgeous, and I cannot wait to watch the watercolor video (it started at 7am my time, so I skipped it) and play with paints. I’d say that the first class, Farm Fresh Flowers is the least close to my “style,” but now that I’ve done the class projects, I’m looking to zsush things up and use more color, and I’ll likely like it better. I’m just not a big fan of washed out, and/or pastels. Oh and pinklady , I already bought a different washi tape set after playing with the one in our kits. I will be signing up for their workshops again. Do they do a fall card making (not holiday) workshop? Anyhow, hope this links works! 🤞🏻 http://instagr.am/p/CpQrVCevNes

Beautiful cards pinklady and MichyM. Just a quick trick you might want to try with the ephemera sentiments we got. I really hate how they are printed on a grayish paper, very disappointing to me especially that PF is know to use a lot of whitish white papers for their cards. Anyway the trick is to color blend them and than wipe off the extra ink so the foiled sentiment shines.

I love the sentiments on all of the cards. Are the stamps or preprinted die cuts?

I love the sentiments on all of the cards. Are the stamps or preprinted die cuts? Mine are all the stamps. I hated the big color difference in the whites. It doesn't look like that pinklady or MichyM use them either.

It doesn't look like that pinklady or MichyM use them either. I only used one of the foiled sentiments on one of the circle bird cards, all the others are stamps. I didn’t notice they were grey-ish. I was planning to play with the PF supplies again this weekend so I was going to take a better look at the foiled sentiments.

Off to search for pink fresh fancy sentiment stamps. Thanks muchly, my enabling friends. 😁 These stamps and dies are exclusive to the event. They might release them at a later time but they are not available yet. If you would like I can stamp/cut some out for you to play with.
