compeateropeator - great thread, and your pictures are stunning! In Postimages I use the direct link and then paste it into the Insert Image icon on here. I haven't taken anything lately, but this is down at the beech at sunset a few weeks ago.

Beautiful pictures! You're in Vermont, right? Great place to get wonderful photos! Thank you. Yes, this is up in the Northeast Kingdom area. I came home yesterday and I think it was pretty close to peak up there, down the spine of the Green Mountains, and a lot of the higher elevations. Champlain Valley is still early/mid change. I would assume Southern Vermont is still a bit away. I was totally wrong on an earlier thread where I thought the foliage change would be early, I think it is actually around normal. 🤷🏻♀️😄😄

Thanks @redsquirreluk I’ll try that. That is easier, I was just worried they were too big. Goats seem to be the newest frequently seen animal. Hahaha. I know they really aren’t but I have been noticing them more. 😄

I love when we see a bunch Belties. I love their look. My stepsister and I call them Oreo cows. 😊 Someone in our town growing up had Belties.

I also think the colors are more muted this year because it’s been so dry.

It is an ongoing joke that I always say “I think it is muted this year”, but it is just that I am too impatient and it is still early. But this year I think I am actually right and people had to concede that I am correct. 😆😆 ETA - I also agree with a little later than last year.

finsup, we call Belties Oreos as well. When Ds was little he asked if Oreo cows made oreos! 😂 sueg, thank you for the Octoberfest pictures. I got to go 3 times when I lived in Germany and have so many fun and funny memories from it.

Nature and pet photos are my favorite! All the photos on this thread are beautiful! Thanks for sharing them. I always vow to be a better photographer when I’m hiking after photo share threads.

My absolutely crazy kitten Oakley and my first successful layer cake. The cake is a carrot cake with roasted pecans. Every week I bring in baked goods for my coworkers to try. I’ve been trying to learn to bake the last few months. Cats and cake! All very sweet!

I'm downsizing and moving into a new condo in a month ... bought a couple of things online yesterday to furnish the new place ... including this super cool accent chair!

So beautiful! We lived in Troy, Michigan for 2 yrs. but never made it to the Great Lakes. I did go to Lake St. Clair sometimes and loved it. The Michigan lakes are so beautiful. I love a lake that makes you feel like you are looking at the ocean with no land on the other side.

Thanks for sharing everyone! We don't get a lot of cloudy sunrises so I was happy to catch this one as Tropical Storm Kay rolled by a couple weeks ago. My morning walk view.
