Yesterday I read about a shooting in Texas. Today it’s Louisiana. I don’t want to see anyone shot. But the right is claiming “rampant crime” in blue states and try and act like nothing is happening in red states.
From ABC News…
“Two men are in custody in connection with a mass shooting at a Louisiana fraternity house that left nearly a dozen people injured, police said.
Police responded to the fraternity house near Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, shortly before 2 a.m. Friday following a reported shooting.
Initial reports indicated that nine people sustained non-life-threatening gunshot wounds, though that number has since increased to 11 after two more victims came forward, Baton Rouge Deputy Chief Myron Daniels told reporters late Friday.”

I think if the Republicans are going to challenge every election they lose then the Democrats should challenge every election they lose to create mass chaos. Then maybe people will start to pay attention.

remember it is legal to video anything in public, if you stand on public property (like a sidewalk) and we have no expectations of privacy. however, I'd bet a cop would act if you are covering your license plate.
you can film anything you can see and no one can legally make you id yourself. you have a 4th amendment right to not have information about your self seized unless under arrest.
you have a 1st amendment right to film anyone in public. or public access space like in lobby of post office.
however, under voting laws, they could have a law to require you to stand a certain distance from polling place.

That is true when it’s taking pictures in general But when you deliberately focus on one group of individuals and take down their license plate numbers then it becomes problematic. Nothing is absolute and that would include taking pictures in public. Limitations should apply. |

These aren't even as bad as what happened here in the 1970's (try 13%, anyone?), which nobody seems to recall. Oh, & blame the president or your congress people, because somebody has to be blamed, and it's election season. Irritating. |

license plates are in public and can be filmed.. people do go around and film license plates of police cars and police officers' cars in public lots.
you can't stop it due to 1st amendment.. the way you could is maybe through laws against being too near voters at a polling place.
the courts have ruled that you can film anything in public from a public land. like if you see a cop arresting someone you can film it from 10 ft away.
but law and practice are two different things. google films everything you can see from a road..
