By the way, I know nothing about a secret widow’s group I also feel slighted that I wasn’t asked to join this secret society. Hrumph… I been in touch with another widow and we feel like the nerd kids who never get picked for baseball. I feel left out too. I was a widow when I joined 19 years or so ago till 4 years ago. Never knew about a secret widow group.

I readily admit that I sent a number of gift cards to BB over a few times. Whether or not all her stories are 100% truthful, I honestly don’t care and don’t regret what I sent. I don’t give with strings. If she is the biggest scammer on the planet, so be it. I don’t give to people outside my IRL bubble beyond what I can afford. I doubt that Jen does either - I don’t think that she is on the board as often as she used to, so she might not be aware of any of this. I trust that she will speak for herself when she does (I have met her in person with my older son with autism). If anyone gives with strings, or might regret giving: DON’T GIVE TO PEOPLE YOU KNOW ONLY ON THE INTERNET. You will regret it at some point, guaranteed. Don’t ever give more than you can comfortably give - be it $$$ or emotional support. Some days I skip threads from a variety of peas - not just BB - because I know that I simply don’t have it in me to give the emotional support needed. That is on me.
