Guns are everywhere and the general public seems A-Ok with voting for politicians who could care less about regulating those said guns. And Ted Budd who is running for Congress in NC again, voted against an Active Shooter Alert System. And guess what else? He owes a gun store and shooting range.

From NPR ”The mass shooting in Raleigh, N.C., that killed five people including a police officer was carried out by a 15-year-old who is now in critical condition, officials said on Friday.” So far there have been 286 days that have passed since Jan first until today. According to this post above this mass shooting is the 532nd mass shooting this year! Look at those numbers! That's almost 2 mass shootings per day (it would be 572 so I'm off by 40) which is absolutely insane! What the hell is it going to take to get this country to see the light and pass some gun control laws that work to stop this? It's not mental health-other 1st world countries also have mental health problems and they don't have mass shootings at this rate. It's not violent movies and video games-other 1st world countries also have violent movies and video games and they don't have mass shootings at this rate. It's our freaking obsession with guns and our lack of sensible gun control laws that have gotten us to this point. I'm sick of hearing about the 2nd amendment and the right to own a weapon that in my opinion only belongs in a war zone used by soldiers. I've been a Democrat since I first voted when I turned 18 in 1978 and I've voted in every election. I'll vote blue again this November. This has to stop!

I really don't get how anyone should be surprised when a mass shooting happens in their community. Guns are everywhere and the general public seems A-Ok with voting for politicians who could care less about regulating those said guns. Exactly! And to add to it, we have raised a generation of kids who live every day, wondering when they are going to be shot at school. What is that doing to our kids? I shudder to think the mental problems that is causing.
