I also came from the old 2peas board. I don’t recall how long I was there, but I was mostly a lurker. I didn’t post much but remember some stuff that went down. I found the original 2peas from Splitcoaststampers. I was a card maker back then. I mostly stay on SB side of this board. I guess I’m still a bit of a lurker here.

I started out on 2Peas admiring the layouts when I first got interested in scrapbooking. I lurked a long time before creating an account, saving some favourite layouts and eventually reading the NSBR board. Because of a Facebook game a lot of the Peas became FB friends so when 2Peas shut down I was invited to join a FB group, Power of the Peas and found about about this board on there. I like this board much better. It is generally kinder. I ignore the political threads or read them but rarely consider posting on them.

I found the old board around 2009-ish, for scrapbooking. I posted very infrequently, less than 1000 posts. I found this place a few days after the old board closed.

I came here when the boards got shut down on at Studio Calico. I started there after hearing about them on the boards at scrapbook.com (which were feeling slow at the time).

I came because a local board had been dissolved. The owner/moderator decided he didn't want to pay for it any longer. Someone there told me she was hanging out here so, I came looked at the posts and joined. I have found it very informative for women's health concerns, among other things. Similar for me. I saw your comment about not being a scrapper. Me either and often wondered if I should find another board, but to find the info one finds here very helpful.
I belonged to a "deals" board that had a general conversation section. They got shut down, but they had a FB page as a backup in case the board was down, they could let memebers know when it would be backup. On that FB page, someone posted about this site, so I came and checked it out. Joined as I missed the conversation and wealth of info that was also posted on that board.

You just made my day. FWIW, I really enjoyed all the work you Garden Girls did. Thank you. I guess you can take the Girl out of the NSBR, but you can’t take the NSBR out of the Girl. 😂😂

I found the original Two Peas from a CK magazine advertisement in 2002. I lurked on and off there until the board shut down. I loved how fast moving the scrapbook board was. I think I only had about 300 posts because NSBR was scary. It was also endlessly entertaining. I hate drama in my real life but I love pea drama. I guess that is a dark side of my personality- I enjoy a good hair flip.
I found this board the day the old one shut down. I was in a panic- fortunately a Google search led me here. I post on both sides of this board- I'm still an obsessive scrapbooker and I really love the topics on NSBR.

I started out on the old board, which I heard about from the dMarie board. I posted a lot on the original board and almost never post on this one! I do read the threads every day and almost feel a friendship with some of the people here because of that, but I never feel like I have much to add to the conversation.

When the original 2 Pea board started I joined very quietly. I was introduced by a local friend who then owned a scrapbook shop and told me I could get some great ideas from here. I mostly stayed on the NSBR side but am bi-boardal (is that a word?) I am a scrapbooker, card maker but my stuff has been in storage for 5.5 years and I miss it so much.
I have learned so very much here about a wide range of things and find this a very comforting place to be most times. I do think the new Peas are a lot nicer than the old and it doesn’t seem as scary here as it was previously.

My primary scrapbooking home was the DIS Creative Community board, for Disney scrapping. 2Peas was one of the popular shopping / layout ideas websites mentioned, and so several of us had accounts on 2Peas for that. When 2Peas announced it was closing, it was posted over there as well as a link to this board. There is at least one other member from the DIS active here although we haven't "talked" directly on this board, although maybe a few replies when we didn't realize. I keep wanting to because she has mentioned her daughter, as an older teenager, and I keep wanting to say, "No, she's 3!" Hi Buffy MissBianca

I was a card maker and loved looking at the beautiful cards and scrapbook pages I saw on the old board after obsessively shopping 2peas for a brief time.
I don’t really remember reading much on the non-scrapper side. Hallelujah for that, knowing what I know now!
Wound up here not too long ago after deciding to either make use of the insane stash of paper and crafty items I still have, or sell it all. What did I do right after a Google search “brought me” here? I bought something! 🤦♀️

I came from the old board. I joined Two Peas in 1999. I was active at a scrapbooking board called Jangle before I ended up at Two Peas.

I'm another one who was on the old board. I started out reading only about scrapping, but soon discovered the NSBR board, too. Yes, it could get quite nasty, couldn't it? I never participated in those threads. Hey, real life is scary enough without immersing yourself in others' drama!
I was sad when the board just disappeared. I really missed the gallery for inspiration, as I was pretty much a beginner at scrapbooking. It took me a couple of months before I found this new one. I'm so glad I did!

I came to the original board in 2002, I believe. At first I was there strictly for scrapping inspiration and actual shopping. At that point I mostly posted on the scrapbook posts. Then I wound up in bed for 2.5 months about six after first finding 2 Peas, and that's when I started posting on NSBR as well. I liked being able to go someplace where I could take about all topics in one space. Every other message board I was on at the time was scrapbooking only, parenting only, genealogy only. Waaay back in internet history I used to be on an AOL message board that allowed for pretty much all topics, and I liked that. But when I moved on from AOL, I lost the board. So NSBR was a great find for me in that regard. I liked never having to see people yelling about something being "Off Topic!!!". I came here right when it first started--that very first day. Remember the drama those first few days? Someone was trying to get people to leave here and go elsewhere or something crazy like that?? And I've been here on and off ever since. I take breaks---sometimes because real life is very busy and sometimes because the vibe here feels like it's leaning too negative for me personally at a certain given time. (And I used to take breaks on the orig. 2Peas as well. ) But I've always come back.

I was looking up a crafter whose worked I liked, and it dropped me straight into the smack blog. I had no idea what anyone was talking about, but it was some juicy gossip. Even though I had shopped at 2Peas, I had never noticed the boards. Once I checked it out, I was hooked on the crazy, funny, smart conversations, and the great scrapbooking inspiration. Lots of good times with you all over the years, NSBR and SBR alike!

Whenever I return from a break I'm always a touch nervous that a bunch of people may have left while I was gone. It's always good to see you still here (and others as well) when I return. I see names and give a sigh of relief and think "Oh, good, so and so is still here!"

After the old two peas board shut down. I spent a day or two floundering in disbelief. Then I googled. I followed a link to.... I think it was reddit? discussion about the shut down, and in that thread had a link to here.
I found the original two peas, via the now closed AOL scrapbook message board.

I came from the old 2 Pea board, which I found because I used to scrapbook. Me too. I did not find the new board immediately. I was sad for many months and doing a Google Search for something brought up 2Peas Refugees and jumped on the train.

I came from the old board. I was a very avid scrapbooker back then and even worked in a small scrapbook store for a couple of years. I think I used Google to find this board the day the other one went down. I don't post a lot, but I read everyday.

From the old board. I used to post on the CM board and DeMarie boards and could Two Peas from there. I didn’t start hanging on NSBR until after I had been there a few years. I think it was around the time I got married and started having kids that I started hanging out there.

I also worked with Bernadette years later and all I could think about was the HOF whitewater rafting pic, and how she supposedly rigged her camera in a tree. 😂😂 For shits and giggles did you ever ask her about it? 🤣😂🤣 I remember the story but don’t recall if it was Bernadette who made up that crazy story or CK to justify her picture.

I also came over from the old board. I started there probably around 2000? I was a scrapbooker at the time, more or less. Meaning that I scrapped a bunch of pages but mostly read magazines and bought all the supplies. 😏 I can’t remember exactly how I found the original site, but after reading through the general scrapbooking forum for awhile, I eventually migrated over to NSBR and never really left.
By the time the board shut down I had a couple of Facebook friends from the boards, so I had a place to go before this board was started. I remember the panic well. I’m so glad to be here. I don’t participate as much as some but I do read here often and feel part of things and at home.

I did not. I figured we have all done and said stupid shit in our lives, and I didn’t need to bring it up when I knew it had affected her scrapbooking career and income and she was just starting to get work again. Besides, I think CK bore a lot of the fault when they named her a winner and ignored their own (new) rules they had put in place. It was their job to make sure people were eligible to win. I believe CK just initially stated she had not taken the picture, and then when people started pushing back Bernadette posted on 2Peas with the story of how she hiked out to the river the day before and strapped her camera to a tree and had it taking pictures every few seconds for hours while she rafted. 😂

I found the old board through a scrapbooking magazine back in the early 2000's. It didn't take me long to get curious about the NSBR board and once I was there I never left. I was a lurker for many years but was too intimidated to post myself. When the board shut down it didn't take me long to suss out this new board and I decided I should start posting and not just lurk. I don't post a lot but this is definitely home and you all are friends.
