S/O I have never taken a break..

A few months ago or so, I was so mad (I don't even remember what it was), but I was never coming back. LOL.. I didn't do any hairflip or say anything... but I cut back on posting for awhile. I feel like I am still not posting as much. I guess it just depends on the day. I am usually on here Mon - Thurs.. and a lot less on the weekends, depending on my schedule.

The only time I have been away from either the old board or this board were the couple of times I was hospitalized for a few days ...

I was reading and posting on vacations for sure!

I consider the Peas to be friends (especially the What's For Dinner? tribe) and I need to be here!    

I have read/visited every day from the beginning with the exception of the days/weeks I am/was on vacation with no WiFi and/or cell service.  Up  until this year I didn’t really have cell service at our camp so the last two weeks of September were pretty much internet free.  I switched cell providers and have much better service so I can check in daily.

It use to be kind of an big and exciting thing to come back from my two weeks in September and check the board to see what had happened and if anything big (good, bad, happy, sad, drama and just regular stuff) had gone down.

I am very sporadic with posting still, though.

I've walked away for a couple of days. And I've also restricted myself to just the dinner thread and the craft thread, as well as the scrapbook board. But mostly these restrictions come in not because of the peas persay but what is going on in my private life. When I am big time emotionally overwhelmed, I can't take on more pain and stress. And some of the threads here can be hard to read at times. Mostly because I feel such empathy for you guys. And other threads I may go into and know there is going to be huge disagreement and sometimes I can't handle that or don't want to see it either.

I stepped away from the old board and stayed away for a couple of years. Two well-known peas said some awful things to me and for whatever reason, I'd had enough that day and went on my merry way.

I peeked in here after finding the old board was a goner. First thing I did was give myself a new name in case the two mentioned above took part in the great migration. They are still here and probably don't even know/remember the situation. I never interact with them. Ever.

This place is totally Hotel California.

I always step back and away on Presidential election and mid-term election years. (2000 - 2020). On the old board I just stayed on the photography side for the most part. Here I just go over to the Paper Crafting side and don’t even read the NSBR thread titles.

I've gone months without posting, weeks without visiting the board at all. Not due to a grudge or anger.

Sometimes the sad posts worry me more than I want to be worried. I'm pretty careful about screening what I take in. I rarely ingest the news, for example.

I’ve taken small breaks - from a week to a couple months. Usually after some negative interactions.

I remember not keeping up with the old board for a few months once, no reason other than I was doing other things. One day I thought about the Peas and wondered what was up. I've never missed more than a few days since, unless I was on vacation.

I was not here as much during the last months when I was getting my house ready for sale.  I did pop in when I would take a quick break and read and maybe post a bit, but it wasn't as much as I previously read here.  I will probably be the same until I get settled in a new place between finding a new doctor, getting glasses, hearing aids, and setting up my driver's license and car registration here.  

I also need to make sure all the utilities back home have been switched to the new people and pay the final bills that I should be responsible for since I was there for the final month for free.  But with my back/neck, if I don't lay on a bed and stretch it out, I am in a world of hurt so I usually grab my laptop and either look at houses or pop in here to check in.

I've never really taken a break. Sometimes I've stepped away for a bit, but never for very long. I don't think I'll ever leave permanently. If I stop posting completely, you can assume I'm dead.

I usually check Two Peas when I am on vacation. I find that even when I am on the busiest of vacations, there is always some down time (before bedtime, traveling from one location to another, etc.) where I find myself checking out the board. This sounds crazy, but I always feel a little guilty checking out Two Peas while on vacation. I remember on the old board there were several times that the more judgmental peas reprimanded peas who posted while on vacation, telling the vacationing peas they had a real problem if they couldn't stay off the board during vacation.

I’ve never taken a break and unless I’m out of the country, I still will check in on vacation. It’s part of my daily schedule.

I’ve never taken an official break, but I didn’t login in very often around the time of my marriage break up in the later part of the noughties.
