Just saw that the cost of a forever stamp in the USA is increasing from 60 to 63 cents starting January 2023! Off to buy some stamps! Ugh!

Good time to stock up on Forever stamps International is also going up 5c from $1.40 to $1.45. I recently got mail from my family in NZ and noticed they pay $4.50 to mail a card to me so I'm going to see our prices as a bargain. They also only get mail delivery 3 days a week there.

Thanks for the heads up. I was just at the PO on Wednesday buying stamps and the clerk didn't mention this. Hmmm.
Anyway, I have a couple of rolls (100 stamps/roll) of flag stamps from when postage was $0.49. But I do like to have fancy stamps that match my card theme. I many have to place an order.

Thanks for the heads up. I was just at the PO on Wednesday buying stamps and the clerk didn't mention this. Hmmm. I don't know if it has been officially approved yet. And I've found that the post office staff don't know as much about stamps as some of us do. I just read that prices will be adjusted twice a year in January and June from 2023 onwards, and a prediction that this will result in a death spiral for the USPS

I just placed a sizeable order for stamps last week!

Did anyone else pick up the Peanuts themed stamps at the post office? They are so cute.

Unfortunately, my mail only comes about 3 times a week here, too - and I'm in the States! USPS is short staffed, you know.
Last year, the prices went up "temporarily" for the holidays, and became a permanent increase in January this year. Then the price went up again in June. The postal clerk I talked to just a few weeks ago tried to tell me that wasn't so. I told him to check his info, since I mail a *lot* of correspondence (mostly handmade cards). He just wouldn't believe me. I wanted to "box his ears," so to speak. Heck, in addition to the forever stamp increases, my "butterfly" stamps went from 75 cents, to 88 cents, and are now at 99 cents each. These are the ones I use most often, yet they still get machined when the butterfly stamp is supposed to designate non-machinable - I don't get what I pay for 90 percent of the time.
Prices for holiday mailing have already gone up for this holiday (packages), and did so in October. Good lord, it cost me a darn fortune to send a 3lb package to the east coast from Colorado. It was three times as much as I spent for about the same weight of package I sent last year. I'm disgusted with the USPS.
They don't specifically mention the butterfly stamp on the site, but USPS is raising the forever postage for January and again at June for next year. No doubt this will be a trend for years to come unless we can convince Congress to get off their rearendi and put a stop to it and get the USPS figured out and put right. I'm not holding my breath, blue is not my favorite color.
Although I have a roll of forever stamps and about three flats of butterfly stamps on hand, I just ordered more. Expensive now, but will be more so later, so I'd rather have an abundance than not enough.

Here's a "good one" for you: I ordered three sets of postage (roll of forever stamps, butterfly stamps, global stamps) from USPS last week. Informed Delivery said it would be delivered yesterday. I got a notice that they were delivered yesterday. They were NOT delivered. As a matter of fact, a neighbor (we live in a condo complex) did not get her package either, and she was also notified that her package had been delivered yesterday, too. Our scans were within one minute of each other. The only thing I can figure is the mail person probably scanned the packages on the truck, and then forgot that particular pallet when he/she trekked the 50 feet to the mailroom. Maybe. I'll be calling USPS tomorrow. I just find it a bit irritating that USPS cannot even deliver their own mail properly.
