HI EVERYONE!!!
I am super new to the card making group... not a new pea and not a new scrapper... I just have never really made cards... I always kinda felt like most people just toss them and so why bother... but I have several older people in my life who I would like to just send a "hey thinking of you" kinda thing throughout the year...
SO, I went to hobby lobby and bought a box of smaller cards.. so I thought... it is actually just the card fronts... or i guess a postcard thing but they do have envelopes...
Would you use these>?? or should i get real actual cards instead?
i was thinking of making "fall yall" cards for them but it is not really a card.. i feel like i kinda bummed myself out by getting the wrong thing... so i didnt do it and now i am not sure.... is it ok to send a decorated post card?? well duhhh thats a dumb question but i guess just some input on how would you use these?

What size are they? Would it be possible to use them as the card front and then use 8.5x11 cardstock to make the actual cards (cut in half so makes 2) and mount that decorated piece to the front and write inside? Most of the cards I make do have an additional layer on the front of the actual card itself. Or if you don't want to do that, I say it is perfectly fine to send a decorated flat card. I have received quite a few flat invitations where it's not actually a folded card.

I would use what you bought as the panel for my card. Decorate that and then attach it to a card base. It’s typically how I make card anyway. I very rarely just use a card base.

A lot of people display their homemade cards for a while and with flat ones it would not be the same. Not that an occasional flat card wouldn't be ok too.

I don't send a flat card. But, I don't make my card on the folded card base. I make it on a card front that I then attach to the folded card base.

I've made a similar mistake (more than once, honestly) where I have just bought ENVELOPES and not the cards! Ohhhh I hate when I do that.

I don't send a flat card. But, I don't make my card on the folded card base. I make it on a card front that I then attach to the folded card base. Oh yeah, I know. I got you the first time. I do the same. I was adding additional commentary for the OP about flat cards.

You can create some bendy cards with it. Here is a tutorial, but there is many more on YouTube. youtu.be/uRSBhLTyTsw

I have a stack of those card faces, I use them to make a card that is in the style of a post card. Design on the front and my message on the back.
