I just come to post this, but you beat me to it MichyM. I signed up! I really enjoyed the Crushing on cardstock class and decided that worth the $25, it it makes me use my stash.

Oh, thanks I hadn't heard about it yet. I've taken several of their classes but it's been a while. The instructors are great and I always learned something. Or thought oh yeah I forgot about that technique.
I'll sign up. Hopefully I have stuff in my stash I can already use.

Not going to sign up for this one, but really enjoyed the ones I have taken from them. My problem is I haven't USED those ideas much. Think that when I am ready to start making holiday cards, I will log in and re watch last year's holiday classes, and hopefully apply some of their techniques.

I'm sure it will be fun but I already have too many ideas and not enough time/energy right now to sit down and use them. Looks like great value though.
My questions for you are, when do you think KW set up that Christmas tree to film the trailer, did she just decorate the bit you can see in the frame, and do you think she took it down after filming?

I would say that she just decorated in the frame and that she will leave it up. So she has a nice background for her holiday videos. She has a holiday card series that she starts sometimes in November too. But there is only 3 things and all of those are easy to move out of the frame.

I like their classes but I'm in the same boat as joblackford - I have more ideas than time & energy these days. I agree with azcrafty - Kristina decorated as much as was needed to be in the frame, and will use it for her background for the next few months. I'm so into Christmas mode myself right now that I keep thinking Halloween is over - I was so surprised to see that Halloween candy wasn't on clearance the other day because I was sure we'd had it already lol. I hope everyone who takes the class fills us in on how the projects are.

I saw something somewhere (IG maybe). It's a mini tree (maybe 3'-ish tall), propped up on something (can't recall what...but think a crate or something like that) and it is fully decorated.

Question since I have never taken a class like this. These are the items I do not have:
Heat embossing supplies Gel Press supplies Pastes or gels Hot foil machine
Would I still be able to get some good ideas?

I think you can still get ideas for layout of cards and color combos. I don't think you will need these items for all classes. I don't have a gel press or hot foil machine, but I do heat emboss and use pastes. You can email KW or JM and tell them you don't have and don't plan to purchase these items and ask how many of the classes use these products. ETA: for gel plate techniques I will try ink smooshing and for hot foil I'll heat emboss. It won't be the same, but it's what I have.

I do not have a gel press, gels, or hot foil machine - altho if there is a good deal over the holidays I may buy myself the latter as a gift to myself). And I've signed up

I signed up mostly just to play along with all of you. :-)
No gel press, I'll figure out something to substitute (brayer, smooshing, something along those lines.

Did anyone watch the today's video? That Jennifer, she thinks of everything! I loved Dawn's card with the sponged poinsettia.
ETA: I have the HB Pretty Poinsettia stamp and die. Different from the one Dawn used, but I'm going to try sponging the flowers leaves.

I started watching yesterday's videos. Only had time to make it thru part of Jennifer's. Keeping up daily will be my big challenge and I'm not even going to try. :-)

Just watched Kristin’s. Totally bummed that I literally have nothing to try and recreate her cards with, but it was relaxing to watch. I swear, she’s just so chill…😉
Off to watch Jennifer’s with fingers crossed.

I only watched jennifer’s video so far but the technique was really fun. I used the nesting ornament dies from hero arts for my large shape. I then used birch press leaves and flowers for the inset on one card and the Gina k stamptember ornament stamps for the inset on the other card, it was fun!

I’m sitting down this afternoon to catch up on the videos. So far I’ve only used Jennifer’s technique on these two cards. I have some alcohol ink panels that I made last month and used them for the background. I spritzed the white cardstock with Avery Elle shimmer spray (tried to show it in a couple of the images). I really didn’t feel like futzing with a bunch of tiny dies, so I used the cutout of a cover die for the pattern in the ‘ornament.’ The ornament itself is one of a nested set - I’d not used them before so I’m glad to have found a use for them! How’s everyone else doing with these classes?

I made a dozen of these cards last Sunday while watching the Seahawks game. I donate a lot of cards, so I’m grateful for cute ideas like this one. I don’t have any holiday themed embossing folders, but I think these turned out fine with just regular embossing folders. I really am enjoying this set of classes (more so than the Crushing on Cardstock that I took months ago) and that (for the most part) they work with supplies I have on hand. $25 feels like a smoking deal on these classes to me. Especially after paying for both Crop and Create, and Create and Connect recently 😉

Beautiful cards MichyM. I watched a few of the days , but I'm a little burned out and working on my swap. Hopefully I will have some time to play this weekend.

Beautiful cards MichyM . I watched a few of the days , but I'm a little burned out and working on my swap. Hopefully I will have some time to play this weekend. That’s one of the reasons I didn’t do the swap (was very very tempted), being that this is my first holiday seasons being a full-fledged (for lack of a better term) card maker I’d want to play with what I want, when I want, without expectations. That said, I’m excited to see what everyone creates this time around. Have fun!
