Your color challenge today is to use bright/saturated colors. Think gem tones: jade, emerald, sapphire, tangerine, lemon, scarlet. The twist is to use any long thin element like thread, ribbon, washi tape, a strip of cardstock.

This is a wonderful Anniversary card with the hearts trailing down the front. Thanks for this and all your other fun card challenges this month!
I giggled though at your title: my brother once headed up a band called the Gem Tones...

Great challenge and beautiful card jjpeapea. That sentiment is so pretty and just perfect for your card. Love the flowing hearts to. Did you attach them to the string only?

jjpeapea , thanks for this challenge and thanks for being willing to be a hostess for Cardtober. I love the stamp you used on this card. It is such a wonderful way to say Happy Anniversary. Your jewel fuchsia is really pretty and is a perfect match for your sentiment ink. Thanks for the anniversary idea. The 2nd card with the leaves is for this challenge. I had fun digging through my scraps to cut the leaves. Sorry it has been stormy and we don't have a lot of sunlight for photos. Cardtober #23, #27 and #25

azcrafty, the hearts float freely on the string. I was imagining the recipient displaying the card and the hearts moving around. nylene I made my Cricut write the sentiment. I love that shade to celebrate gem tones and that you included a purple shaded leaf. Nice card!

The gem tones really do look gorgeous. Beautiful cards, jjpeapea and nylene, and a nice challenge! I finally got mine done this afternoon. I went with amethyst and emerald. The back layer of the card actually is a closer match to the purple than the photo makes it look. Not sure why it looks muted. It’s not, actually. I’ve been itching to use this Graphic 45 paper, with its lovely gem tones.

scrapnnana I love the sentiment "Life is Beautiful" on a beautiful card to prove the point. I like the texture in the string. I'm not sure where colors go! In my work area the green mat on my fairy card matched the ink. But when scanned it looked more mint than spring green. Thank you for your beautiful and balanced card.

The 2nd card with the leaves is for this challenge. I had fun digging through my scraps to cut the leaves. Sorry it has been stormy and we don't have a lot of sunlight for photos. That's so pretty. I have the same dies but I've been struggling to use them because I haven't cut them from colors I really enjoy, or from enough different colors. I will make a mental note (once again) to use colors I love.
