He may be in for a surprise. I'm in doubt that he's made whatever deal with the devil keeps TFG from ever facing consequences. He's sure sounding like the same kind of spoiled brat, but that doesn't keep him from having to do as the law requires (granted, a site rarely seen in the past few years). I can't figure out what mix of hubris and delusion makes him think anybody is interested in his being president---or interested in him, generally. 

Fani Willis is hitting some road blocks getting info from GA fake electors.. funny they all have the same lawyers...


CNN reported Wednesday that Willis is considering offering immunity to the fake electors who could garner state charges along with federal ones. The Justice Department is currently doing its own investigation into the fake electors' scheme in which Republicans participated after the 2020 election votes. The effort was coordinated by the national Trump campaign according to emails obtained by the probes.

Out of the 16 fake GOP electors at least 12 have been subpoenaed by the DA's office and they have all been labeled targets who could be indicted.

But that tactic appears to have undermined her ability to obtain potentially crucial testimony from the exact people who could provide inside accounts of the operation to overturn the election in Georgia, including what if any role the former president played," said the report. "Willis has recently attempted to lower the temperature by floating the possibility of immunity for some of the electors if they agree to appear before the grand jury, according to people familiar with the matter."

That said, there has been little success, the report explained.

Previously, Willis was able to get plenty of cooperation from witnesses, obtaining testimony from at least one of the members of the 16 electors, Ken Carroll, who confirmed he testified to the special grand jury. The electors have all hired the same group of attorneys and they're all refusing to answer questions under their Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination. Willis has tried to have the lawyers disqualified from working for all of the electors, saying there are "serious ethical problems."

Oh, so VERY true!!

I knew that this was coming, but still…For those who voted R in House races, congrats. They plan on a series of investigations. 🙄 Hunter Biden? Again? This is from CNN. It is an opinion piece, but this has been reported everywhere.


“Investigations: House Republicans plan to launch a flurry of investigations to keep allegations of scandal front and center over the next two years, which will make it difficult for Biden to focus attention on the policy issues that matter to his administration. Republicans already have laid the groundwork for hearings into Hunter Biden and his business deals, hoping to use the President’s son as a mechanism to tarnish the administration’s image.

Just as Republicans, as House GOP leader Kevin McCarthy once admitted, used the Benghazi hearings to damage Hillary Clinton’s national standing, Republicans will seek to do the same with Biden’s son, promoting a narrative of corruption that they believe would be effective in 2024. Federal prosecutors believe they could charge Hunter Biden with tax crimes and a false statement, but the US attorney in Delaware hasn’t made a final decision, CNN reported last month, citing sources familiar with the matter. The younger Biden has not been charged with any crime and has denied any wrongdoing in his business activities.”

It’s designed to serve as the party’s “leading war room” to push back on House Republican investigations, Herrig said in an interview. He added that the project would “investigate the investigators, expose their political motivations and the monied special interests supporting their work, and hold them accountable for ignoring the urgent priorities of all Americans in order to smear Joe Biden and do the political bidding of Trump and MAGA Republicans.”

That cheered me up.
