First of all as an independent she will not have to go through a primary to get on the general ballot. Some have said that is one of the reasons why she became an independent.
Which means the Democrats in the state will come up with a Democratic candidate for the general election.
Which means as an independent candidate that currently leans left she will pull votes from the Democratic candidate.
Which means the odds increase that a Republican will win the seat.
As for her voting with President Biden 90% of the time a strong argument could be made that 10% her and Manchin voted against/obstructed would have benefit the American People more then the 90% she voted for like a new voting rights act that should have been passed. And even the 90% she graciously agreed to vote for had been pared down at time when some of the items that were cut were needed the most.
IMO this latest stunt she pulled was the last nail in the coffin as far as her being a viable candidate.
So we are going to disagree.

I'm aware of how primaries work, thanks. I mentioned a Democratic primary because you said you wouldn't vote for her. Must be nice to have the luxury of living in a solidly blue area of a blue state where Democrats are almost guaranteed to win and you can vote for a progressive Democrat without worrying about the general election. The rest of us in swing states or red states have to make more difficult choices based on reality. If I were an Arizona voter, I'm not sure how I would have voted in the Democratic primary in 2018. I think Sinema had the best chance and maybe only chance of winning the general election. In 2024, if I were an Arizona voter, the only scenario where I might vote against Sinema is a hypothetical primary.
The Democrats will not automatically run a candidate against her. I'm not sure Sinema's even announced that she's running for re-election. Admittedly, changing her party will most likely help her chances of re-election because the Democrats would certainly have put up a challenger in the primary. But, there are a lot of uncertainties about the 2024 election.
Voting with Biden 90% of the time is better than the nearly 0% Republicans. Martha McSally voted with Trump 95 % of the time, including 2 years of overlap where she and Sinema were both in the Senate. McSally voted to acquit Trump in both impeachment trials and she voted for ACB's nomination.
I don't like Sinema, but the alternative was worse and will be worse. Just look at other Arizona Republicans - Gosar and Kari Lake.

There is always more to the story.
This popped up this morning…
But here is the rest of the story…
But he doubled down even after he learned the truth…
This was nothing but pettiness on his part. This is what type of individual those who vote for Republicans believe should be in Congress. If they didn’t believe it guys like this or that MTG wouldn’t be elected to Congress.

I don't like McCarthy, but it scares me a little who the republicans might pick instead. Jonathan Capeheart and Michael Steele might be right about Trump torpedoing McCarthy's chance to be speaker.

Special prosecutor has subpoenaed Georgia's SoS, Brad Raffensperger, for DC grand jury!! And others!! This is all for paperwork...for now! "State and local officials in Arizona, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin have received similar subpoenas — all of them, like Georgia, central to President Donald Trump’s failed plan to stay in power after the 2020 election," reported Amy Gardner. "State and local officials in Nevada, the other contested battleground from 2020, did not respond or declined to say whether they had heard from the Department of Justice." As Trump was seeking to overturn the 2020 election, he called Raffensperger directly and demanded that he "find" thousands of extra votes to help him win Georgia. That matter is also under criminal investigation in the state of Georgia, by Fulton County prosecutor Fani Willis. *** The Georgia subpoena, which is dated Dec. 9, adds to the evidence that the Justice Department is extending its examination of the circumstances leading up to the Capitol attack to include local and state election officials and their potential interactions with the former president and his representatives related to the 2020 election," said the report. "The virtually identical requests seek communications with Trump, in addition to employees, agents and attorneys for his campaign." In addition to the election investigation, Smith has also taken over the investigation of classified documents that were hidden at various locations owned by the former president after leaving office, including his Mar-a-Lago country club. www.rawstory.com/brad-raffensperger-2658952530/

Florida, highest Covid death rate.
Florida health director, who will man this new committee, anti-vaxxer as are most of the new members of the committee.
Let us not forget how DeSantis was all for vaccines for his elderly rich residents, in fact he steered the vaccines to his chosen areas. Dominated the use of monochromal antibodies for so many who did not get the vaccines. The videos/photos of people laying of the floors of the centers trying to get the antibodies.. up words of $2000 vs the vaccine $20.. and we the tax payers all over the country paid for DeSantis to do that!!

Some poll out today shows DeSantis besting trump by more then a few % points.
So is this a do-over and he is going to pretend what has happened this last month didn’t happen?
But trump as a superhero. Seriously?
