Glad you are able to get in somewhere tomorrow and sorry for all the stress that's been piled on an already stressful situation. Best wishes that it's nothing serious and your mind is put at ease soon 💖

Oh, how awful. I’m angry on your behalf but glad you found another provider. The practice doesn’t have a portal so you can message your doctor/NP/nurse? Schedulers just schedule, at least those I’ve talked to. But what a mess. Hang in there.

I'm so sorry that it takes so long to actually get this evaluated. It's not right! They tell us over and over again not to ignore lumps then they tell you that they can't get you in quickly. It's unacceptable! I'm glad that you found a place to take you tomorrow. Keeping my fingers crossed that it's just a cyst.

I’m glad you are going to be seen soon.
I was going to suggest going to an urgent care.
A couple of years ago, I felt a small lump under my arm on a Friday night. I went to an urgent care on Saturday morning. The doctor told me he thought it was a swollen lymph node and prescribed antibiotics. He told me to call my ob-gyn’s office first thing Monday morning, which I did. By the time I saw her on Monday afternoon, it had shrunk considerably. She agreed that it was probably just a swollen lymph node, but ordered a mammogram just to be sure. (I was due for one anyway). The mammogram was fine and I haven’t had any problems since.
I hope everything turns out fine w/ your situation as well.

Glad you're going to be seen tomorrow - hope all goes smoothly! We as a family have had more than our fair share of medical stuff this year and I'm really appreciating the responsive doctors. I have a phenomenal doctor, but my husband has had something like 4 doctors retire on him in the last 10 years and really doesn't have a great primary doc. My son is still in our great pediatric practice, but our daughter has aged out and doesn't have a primary doctor at all. We've run the gauntlet of phenomenal responsiveness to things and absolutely abysmal. For 2023 I strive for all of us to have great primary doctors!

Good update -- I found another practice that, originally, had told me they could only schedule me in two weeks, but found a slot for me early tomorrow morning. Wish me luck, and thank all of you for your support and kindness. It has made me a lot calmer about the situation to have so many of you remind me that the most likely thing here is that I'm fine -- I know that rationally, I promise, but as everyone knows, rational knowledge and emotional truth can be very different things . Hey, keep us posted. We Peas worry.

Ugh. I hope they can get you in for the biopsy ASAP. I wish more healthcare providers were conscientious about the toll the waiting takes on a patient's mental health. At least the bright side of the cyst is that it helped this one to be found early.

Thanks for the update. So far, so good. Wait till they give you something to panic about before you actually start panicking. (Yeah, yeah, I know.)

mine was 1.2 cm and while it completely sucks to have cancer- it is awesome to catch early and you can be treated and carry on. But one step at a time- might be a big old nothing. Fingers crossed for you!

(Update) Good news and bad news. Good news is that the lump I found is a benign cyst. Bad news is they found a different lump. I am scheduled for a needle biopsy in a few weeks. Radiologist says it is 70-80% likely to be benign but that the edges aren't clean enough to dismiss it. She did say that, if it is cancer, it is most likely stage one--it is one centimeter and my lymph nodes are fine. I noticed a lump in my breast a few weeks ago. I called the breast clinic at my provider, and they scheduled me a week out for an appointment. The day before the appointment, I got a call letting me know that I had been scheduled with a surgeon by accident; they told me the next appointment would be another two weeks. Which would be tomorrow. Today I got a call cancelling my appointment for tomorrow because the provider is sick. Now I am scheduled for next Tuesday. Should I freak out? This has been stressful, and my father died from cancer a few months ago, so I feel like my judgment is clouded, but this seems like a lot of weeks of delay; hopefully this is a benign cyst (I had one years ago), but I am beginning to wonder if I should be hitting an emergency room (not to be graphic, but the lump has been discharging things). I'm glad to hear that the original lump was just a cyst! I get a lot of cysts so I totally understand how nervous you are about that second cyst. My last cyst I was told the same thing. The margins weren't clear and it was concerning. I could tell the radiologist was preparing me for the potential of bad news. Then he inserted the needle and said "Huh." I was like "huh what?!" Once he inserted the needle, the cyst totally collapsed. He later told me that he was pretty certain it was a solid mass, so he was pleasantly surprised when it was just a cyst. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Though you are likely OK, waiting 2 weeks is not OK. Can you get on a cancelation list? Its likely benign, but you're in my prayers.
