Long Shot, Archie Comic Recipe-Found!

snyder thanks for the link for comics site. I was scrolling through (looking for the recipes) and noticed the ads, particularly the one for the camera with flash cubes that takes 12 B&W photos. I remember those cameras! Thanks for the walk down memory lane.

I believe David Holmes was/is the elusive teenage heart throb from the 80’s (?).  He was in tiger beat and a pea (?) had his poster on their wall I think.  Anyhow they were trying to find him and so far no one has.  I think that is the basic story, although there maybe some corrections or additions to it.  Hopefully someone can give some better crib notes to the back story.  😆

I sell magazine pinups and clippings and came across all of these ones on David Holmes, who I'd never heard of. I asked the Peas for some assistance and no one else had ever heard of him. I think ultimately Sarah*H is correct--a good looking young guy that the magazines were trying to make a star, but he never panned out. I still laugh every time I get a magazine and he's in it. And I've actually sold quite a few things on him.
