Spinning off of the Tuesday Morning thread where the Electric Big Shot Express is $149.00, I would like to know if it is worth the $$$. I have the Vagabond, and a new Vagabond 2 safely stored away since they are discontinued. So I do not need it AT ALL. But I am curious. Does anyone know how it compares to the VB?
I swore off all Sizzix products at all, except to feed my Tim Holtz collection/addiction. But...........I have a dedicated die cutting space now for the first time EVER and foldability is not as big a deal now as it once was with the fold up Cuttlebug, then the Vagabond.
Not interested in the new Switch, or Gemini or any of those. My workflow needs a platform on the machine to lay out the plates and dies before feeding through.

I was looking for an electric. $149 seems like a pretty nice deal. I was also looking for a machine that could handle letter/A4 papers, though. I have some big dies I'd gotten a while back I didn't realize needed a larger platform. So, initially, I was looking at the Big Shot Plus and the Spellbinders Platinum (not the Platinum 6). Most large paper machines are manuals. Then I came across The Empress by Anna Griffin, an electric as well as being able to accept letter and A4 size papers. A bit more expensive, but I also liked that I could get extended platforms and smaller platforms and all would work in the same machine. So, that is what I got. There is not a platform on the machine, though. Just platforms to feed. I don't have any issues so far. Now, I'm even eying the Empress Mini, which has a wider mouth than other minis and is also electric. That one is $150 in itself, but could probably handle 75% of my die cutting needs and sit on my table without having to keep getting up to get to my larger machine. So, $149 for the Big Shot Express doesn't sound bad.

My BFF has this and she doesn’t like that she has to hold down a button for the entire time the plates run through the machine.
