First off, I am VERY proud of myself for not opening it until today. I am an instant gratification kind of girl, so that is BIG I didn't even trust myself to open the cellophane. Who else got one? Are you happy with what was behind the first door? More importantly. I thought read somewhere that Spellbinders was going to have daily updates on their blog with inspiration for each day. However, maybe I'm missing it, but I don't see one today. Do you? ETA: Just checked again and it's now up, so never mind If there is interest by you girls (and guys), maybe those of us who bought one could post a photo each day (in a spoiler) of what was behind each door....

I didn't order one because I generally don't like grab bag type of items where I didn't pick the actual items. However, that didn't stop me from watching a YouTube unboxing where the gal opened every box. Would love to hear your thoughts on what you are getting though.

Day 1 looks cute. What do you think of the size? I would use it with the elf...might be the perfect size for him.
After seeing the video where she opened them up I wish I would have gotten it

I’m thrilled with Day 1’s offering. I really wanted to get this die set (and coordinating stamp set), but had talked myself out of it thus far. It would be easy enough to create the rest of the design with any smaller floral dies, if todays item is all we get from this particular set.
I’m out of town Dec 1-3, so I opened days 1-3 on Monday-Wednesday. I’ll continue with it on Sunday after I get home.

Here is the first day’s die (cannot do a spoiler on my phone). It’s cute, and I’ll definitely use it. The second day is a small stamp set that easily coordinates with the August 2022 Perfect Floral Bloom stamp and die of the month set I bought a few months ago. I’d forgotten that there are spoilers all over the place, so I don’t know that I’ll post photos after this. Their blog will also be updated daily as well. spellbindersblog.com/2022/12/01/spellbinders-crafty-advent-calendar-round-up/Lastly, I’ve literally never had an advent calendar (not Christian), so nothing to compare it to, but I’m enjoying opening the door each morning while I drink my coffee and wake up!

I am just finishing up the last few holiday cards (embossed vellum front per J McG’s video a few weeks ago) but am making a note with my elf (and reindeer dies) for next year. Thank you!

I bought it. I like the first two days. I wouldn't have bought a mailbox die myself so I'm happy to get one like this - I'll use it! And the stamp set is cute and usable. I love that we get daily inspiration. I have high hopes for this calendar!

I love Zsoka...and not just because she is Hungarian too, but she is super talented and her color combinations are amazing. She is using the first 6 items from the calendar to create some gift tags but I can see them as a front panel on the card. Love the way she used the embossing folder. Check out her video youtu.be/goCNFx12Yns

These tags are adorable. TFS!

My day 7 is empty, and clearly nothing was ever adhered inside. Waiting for Spellbinders to update the blog to see what I missed. Hopefully it’s something I wouldn’t like anyhow. I pulled back the back, and it’s not in another day’s slot :/
Has this happened to anyone else? If it was something you would use, would you contact spellbinders to see if they have extras, or just let it go? Remember, I‘m 100% an advent calendar newbie.

I would absolutely contact them even if it was something I wouldn’t use. If nobody reports problems, they won’t know they have something they need to fix or at least monitor. And if only some people who experience an issue report it, they won’t understand the magnitude accurately.

IMO, you paid for 24 "gifts", you should receive 24 gifts. Day 7 is a 3x3 layered stencil pack - looks like lots of small circles, like snow. It was flat against the back of the Day #7 cubby.

Thank you Shakti and Ryann . I definitely would use that, so I’ve sent an email to see if they happen to have extras. I think it's a good thing that you let them know. You paid for it, but also as a business owner I would definitely want to know if a product was missing. Plus it's really cute!

Just wanted to say. Be sure it’s not really there. I just watched an opening and I thought it was empty- but the stencil was actually the “back “ of the opening. Like the cellophane was completely lining the back of the opening so it looked like it was just the back. She had to peel it out.

Like the cellophane was completely lining the back of the opening so it looked Ike it was just the back. She had to peel it out. And it’s pretty flat being it’s basically just small acetate sheets. HURRAH AND THANK YOU! I opened the back up again and looked more carefully. It IS there, and nearly clear, so obviously easy to miss I didn't look too closely because I didn't want to spoil the rest of the contents. I'll fish it out as a second gift on the 24th. Thank so much sunny1016 for nudging me to look again!

MichyM - I'm so glad you found it! I actually watched the video after I saw your post. When she opened it my first thought was there must have been some kind of manufacturing problem with day 7. Then she reached in and "scratched" it out. I was hoping maybe that was the case for you too.

So what did you get today? Yesterday was a cute, layered heart shaped die. Today (the 9th) is a nice package of opal sequins (without holes).

I like that the sequins don't have a hole in them. They are pretty. Totally. I'll have no problem using them. While I may not use everything, I am happy with what's been behind the doors thus far and may well purchase it again next year.

While I may not use everything, I am happy with what's been behind the doors thus far and may well purchase it again next year. I am so happy with the Advent Calendar, I'm definitely getting it next year again. I've loved seeing the projects made with the supplies, too. Last year's Advent calendar that I got from a different company was such a huge disappointment I stopped caring about even opening the doors, so in contrast this one is really, really impressive. The Happy Birthday dies alone make the calendar more usable than the other company's that I bought last year (and I love that other company, too, which made the disappointment worse).

Cute stuff! A lot of it is too small for my preferences and I would have a heck of a time figuring out how to store some of it (small things are sometimes harder than big things!) so I have no regrets in not buying it. But it is really cute and looks like fun stuff for fans of the brand. I've been seeing most of Kristie Marcotte's posts using the new item each day. Her daughter is making a card each day too.

I love this advent calendar, glad you all posted about this in October. I think it's good that they're not really Christmas or holiday themed and we can use the contents year round. December is such a busy month anyway.
I'm not sure how I'm going to store the dies though. I might get one of those magnetic sheets.
How are you all storing the dies?
