I really wish the liberal clerks who endured a bunch of public, by-name targeting by right wing pundits who decided that if you worked for the ACLU or whatnot you must have leaked had a way to get actual apologies.

Anyhow, the prediction from the beginning for people who looked at the leaked draft, which seemed like a photocopy, was that it was likely someone in one of the conservative justice's close family or
friend circle. Whoever might that be I wonder.

Finally, today, Representative Adam Schiff (D-CA) introduced a constitutional amendment to the House to overturn the 2010 Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission Supreme Court decision that opened the floodgates for dark money to swamp our elections. The proposed amendment protects freedom of the press but permits Congress and the states to impose nonpartisan regulations on political fundraising, support public campaign financing, and “distinguish between natural persons and corporations or other artificial entities created by law, including by prohibiting such entities from spending money to influence elections.”

Need to shrink government by incentivizing people not to be poor!

The withdrawal comes after U.S. District Judge Donald Middlebrooks warned Trump's legal team that the lawsuit was borderline frivolous.

"Plaintiff, PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP, by and through his undersigned counsel and pursuant to Fed. R. Civ. P. 41(a)(1)(A)(i), hereby voluntarily dismisses his claims in this action against Defendant, LETITIA JAMES, without prejudice," the letter said.

I think the part that makes me the maddest about the Republicans playing chicken with the debt ceiling - they're refusing to pay debts incurred by their party, their administration under Trump.  The debt ceiling has nothing to do with current spending.  Are they fooling anyone with that nonsense?

Yes they were interviewed BUT were not asked to sign sworn statements, because the Marshal did not feel the need...

"Yet the justices were exempt from this requirement. The marshal's justification for not making the justices sign sworn affidavits is odd. She says no 'credible leads... implicated the justices or their spouses.' OK, but surely that was true of many of the other 82 people who were interviewed. Yet they had to sign affidavits.
