Meanwhile the House is debating a Republican sponsored bill claiming socialism is bad. But offer no definition of what the Republican are claiming socialism consists of.

Better news.. An FBI search of President Joe Biden's home in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, found no classified documents. Biden's personal attorney Bob Bauer said the planned search, which lasted about three and a half hours, turned up some handwritten notes and other materials FBI agents took away for further review, but he said no documents with classified markings were found, reported CNN. www.rawstory.com/joe-biden-fbi-search/

Now Roberts may have a big problem. Another SCOTUS scandal: Chief justice’s spouse makes millions placing attorneys at top law firms that argue before the courtDavid Badash, The New Civil Rights Movement January 31, 2023 The highly controversial and highly unpopular U.S. Supreme Court isn’t just facing a historic loss of confidence, it’s now facing yet another ethics scandal that is likely to lower even further public opinion of the far-right institution that in under two decades has seen its approval rating slashed. Although it will not hear arguments, the issue before the Supreme Court and the American people’s view of it, is, should a Justice’s spouse – in this case the spouse of Chief Justice John Roberts – be able to make millions of dollars recruiting attorneys who are placed into top law firms that argue cases before it? That’s the latest allegation, and already a spokesperson for the Court has issued a statement denying any ethical violations. The New York Times reports that “a former colleague of Mrs. Roberts has raised concerns that her recruiting work poses potential ethics issues for the chief justice. Seeking an inquiry, the ex-colleague has provided records to the Justice Department and Congress indicating Mrs. Roberts has been paid millions of dollars in commissions for placing lawyers at firms — some of which have business before the Supreme Court, according to a letter obtained by The New York Times.” Jane Sullivan Roberts left a law firm where she was a partner after her spouse was confirmed as Chief Justice. “Mrs. Roberts, according to a 2015 deposition,” The Times reports, “said that a significant portion of her practice was devoted to helping senior government lawyers land jobs at law firms and that the candidates’ names were almost never disclosed.” Documents in that case “list six-figure fees credited to Mrs. Roberts for placing partners at law firms — including $690,000 in 2012 for one such match. The documents do not name clients, but Mr. Price recalled her recruitment of one prominent candidate, Ken Salazar, then interior secretary under President Barack Obama, to WilmerHale, a global firm that boasts of arguing more than 125 times before the Supreme Court.” *** Doug Lindner, Advocacy Director for Judiciary & Democracy for the League of Conservation Voters, pointing to the Times’ report, remarked: “Another day, another ethics concern about another life-tenured conservative justice on the most powerful court in the world, which has no binding ethics rules.” Indeed, the lack of a Supreme Court code of ethics has been repeatedly condemned for years, including by some of the nation’s top critics. www.rawstory.com/another-scotus-scandal-chief-justices-spouse-makes-millions-placing-attorneys-at-top-law-firms-that-argue-before-the-court/We are clearly past the days when the honor of participants in either the courts or politics can be relied upon to guide them. The prevailing feeling among the Right seems to be that honor is for suckers. So, like so many things that could reasonably be assumed about behavior before TFG came along, we're going to have to make a bunch of rules. And I don't want to hear any of them whining about it, either.

Yes, Turtle Mitch, they do. And they'd have it, if you didn't feel it interfered with your clawing onto your power. The hypocrisy is stunning--or is it that he really thinks nobody notices or remembers?

TFG dumps another lawyer, Alina Habba... Former President Donald Trump has replaced yet another attorney as his legal challenges grow in the battery and defamation lawsuit brought by former advice columnist E. Jean Carroll, reported Newsweek on Wednesday. Alina Habba, an attorney who has represented Trump in this case and made frequent appearances on right-wing television defending the former president, joins a long list of attorneys Trump has replaced. *** Notably, Trump appeared to contradict this defense in a recent deposition, when he mistook an image of a young Carroll for his second wife, Marla Maples — forcing Habba to step in and correct him. *** Habba, who previously rose to right-wing legal stardom by representing a college student trying to overturn COVID-19 emergency measures, and then got involved in cases seeking to overturn the 2020 election, developed a reputation for her confrontational approach, that led even many officials in Trump's circle to grow tired of her. A Florida judge recently slapped her with sanctions for advancing a "frivolous" lawsuit against Hillary Clinton and several Justice Department and FBI officials in the 2016 election. www.rawstory.com/trump-replaces-yet-another-lawyer-after-she-is-sanctioned-for-frivolous-election-lawsuits-report/

GOP... Again, more at their worst.. An Idaho Republican state lawmaker thinks today's children need to learn the value of good, honest work if they want to enjoy a hot meal during lunch. As reported by The Daily Beast, Idaho State Rep. Ron Mendive this week pitched solving local schools' budget problems by putting students to work in exchange for food. "If we could find a way for the students to work to earn credits for their school lunch, I don’t think we’d see any of the waste we do in that program because it doesn’t mean much," he said during a meeting on Tuesday. www.rawstory.com/idaho-school-lunch/

Seriously people that are a lot of real issues facing the The American People then gas stoves. Of which the Republicans don’t want to talk about.

Josh Hawley getting slammed by local paper, again!! The Democrat running against Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) is being criticized by Republicans for having a "fake southern accent." But St. Louis' Riverfront Times thinks that Lucas Kunce "sounds like Missouri." *** The comments are a reference to a Kansas City Star editorial board post alleging Hawley "scoffs" at the residency requirements for Missouri candidates. He is a fool, but..... The piece is long. Saying TFG won't even have to campaign to draw votes.. His hard core will blindly vote for him. Former President Donald Trump has made clear he is willing to throw the GOP under the bus in 2024 if they don't choose him as their nominee — effectively a threat to hand the election to Democrats and burn it all down for Republicans — reported Ed Kilgore for New York Magazine's "Intelligencer" on Thursday. "Trump refused to commit to supporting the 2024 Republican presidential nominee in a conversation with conservative radio host and columnist Hugh Hewitt. 'It would depend,' Trump told Hewitt. 'I would give you the same answer I gave in 2016 during the debates,'" said the report. "Despite signing a 'loyalty pledge' going into the 2016 campaign, Trump periodically threatened to take his supporters right out of the Republican Party by launching a third-party or independent bid. As late as March 2016, he was repeating that threat, as Politico reported at the time." www.rawstory.com/trump-desantis-threat/

Here’s the thing, he HAS a NJ home, always has. We PAY him to work in DC. So obviously he would be there frequently, but at least he owns & pays taxes on a home in NJ. Wether it’s ok to have your residence in or near DC and use a RELATIVES address to vote is up to the voters in his state, I guess. Wether or not it’s legal is up to Missouri’s laws. I’d venture that IOKIYAR It was one of the leading issues against OZ in PA. While he did buy a home in PA it was only after he decided to run. It was a rich home in a rich peoples suburb. Plus he was too arrogant to actually learn about PA and kept making mistakes branding him as an out of touch outsider - Wegners anyone? That became a running joke to some. At least he didn’t mention quick chek lmao that’s fighting words in PA

Back to this ruling about guns. Apparently this judge & the Justices didn’t read this from Thomas Jefferson before making their rulings.
“I am not an advocate for frequent changes in laws and constitutions, but laws and institutions must go hand in hand with the progress of the human mind. As that becomes more developed, more enlightened, as new discoveries are made, new truths discovered and manners and opinions change, with the change of circumstances, institutions must advance also to keep pace with the times. We might as well require a man to wear still the coat which fitted him when a boy as civilized society to remain ever under the regimen of their barbarous ancestors."

Just thought of something. All of TFG complaints about the documents in the floor. Several years ago, probably much longer ago.
Police in CA did a search and seizure for guns/arms etc. They lined them all up out on a driveway or street, took pictures and published them.
It is not uncommon for police department to show photos of items seized, guns, drugs, piles of bundled monies, abused animals etc...
