I don't know anyone who did but then again, I don't live in an area where many would. I read on Twitter that someone did a deep dive on who did the buying. It was said that only 30% (13,500) of the NFTs were purchased by unique user addresses. The other 70% is speculated to have been purchased by a singular entity thus fueling further talk about money laundering. If this is true, only 13,501 individuals in the world purchased his NFTs. I don't know how true all this is if there are people who say they bought more than one card at the same time. That would shift the 70% conspiracy. But even if each of the 45,000 NFTs were purchased by different people, it still represents a very very small percentage of his followers. Money laundering doubtful; he doesn’t have money to launder. More likely buying it up (with money raised for his upcoming political campaign) to make it look like they are a hot commodity and encourage a purchasing frenzy. maybe not money laundering but another means to skirt campaign finance laws by taking in money in another form.

I suspect most of them were "purchased" by foreign agents. That’s my guess also, hedging their bets that he’ll be President again. Fairly cheap investment from foreign countries seeking an in and most of the world already knows how to get in that idiots good graces

I knew what you meant. I really don’t want to know if anyone I know in real life bought any.

For hiding illegal cash infusions from foreign entities or even right-wing American billionaires. Apparently the transactions are very hard to trace.

I doubt anyone I know bought any but know some voted for him. Im really surprised he didn’t allow more to be purchased to get more money or maybe there will be multiple rounds. If it’s only 4.5 million that’s not a lot to a billionaire or for foreign investors trying to buy an ear to a possible future president. Time will tell.

If it was just a straight-up grift-the-rubes thing, he’d keep saying “limited edition” forever but would also keep selling as long as they keep buying. But since he’s cut off sales for now (publicly at least), I have no doubt there are big, secret, unreported sales going on to his major “investors.”
