This is the big picture goal thread for 2023
What do you want to learn or focus on or accomplish or finish next year? Do you have a page count goal? Or a do-something every day or week or month goal?

My main goal is to spend more time scrapbooking than thinking about it but I need to get things organized a bit:
1. I want to be properly prepared for my scrappy retreat at the end of February 2. I have a ton of pictures to scan & organize 3. Use all the tools collecting dust (or give them away) 4. Block out time each week to scrapbook (I'm thinking Wednesday & Friday nights, Saturday or Sunday mornings)

I haven’t scrapbooked for over a year, but I am considering putting together a bullet journal type planner and using some of my SB supplies. I need to get back to doing something creative, I miss it. I just need to bite the bullet and order the B5 planner from Amazon before times gets away from me and I decide against it. Off to do that right now!

My focus is 'continue' so in that vein...
-continue working on the Shimelle classes I've already purchased -continue working on trip albums - I would like to complete at least 2 this coming year -continue scrapping current-ish photos (2020--->) -continue filling in gaps in older albums -continue working on labelling and identifying older photos -continue scanning memorabilia -continue transcribing my mum's travel journals -continue participating in the teams here -continue to scrapbook regularly -continue to keep up on photo orders

My goal is to get a lot of layouts done. I am years behind, so hoping to get a little more caught up.

I am totally not ready for this question, lol! But I will respond.
In 2023 I would like to get as many layouts as possible done every opportunity I have. Since I can do 2 layouts an hour and waste time just as well, I am going to try to get 10 layouts done every 6 hrs I have to scrap.
I would like to do 500 layouts in 2023. My math is horrible but I think that is 3.5 days of scrapping each month.
I would also like my scrap supplies organized at a minimal level, rather than non existant.

Scrappy goals for 2023:
Complete PL album 2023 (I’m current in 2022) Finish my 2022 December Daily Album Take OLW class & complete album Stay in my scrap budget. I made one for myself this year as last year was Out of Control. I’m really going to try… we will see!

Ugh, do I even want to set goals? Knowing how unlikely it is that I will actually meet them? Most of them are going to be the same as the last four years.
~ Keep up to date with Project Life. It would be nice to actually finish one year! ~ Complete a full year of layouts so I can actually get a photo book printed for the first time ever. I am concentrating on 2019. ~ Finish my Vietnam 2017 album. And when I fail at that..... ~ Finish my Thailand / Singapore 2023 album. ~ Continue scanning my old photos, and start scrapping some of them.
My big goal is to save money towards a new MacBook. Mine is pretty much unusable for scrapping, because of the screen flickering and fading. But a new one just isn't in the budget.

I am not sure, but I do want to have some goals so I am thinking as I type here lol.
1) I love the teams/challenges here. I start off strong and usually fizzle out. I like it for the sharing/social aspect the most. I wish I spent more time at this, but I also wish I did not make myself feel guilty when I can't.
2) I want to continue organizing my digital photos. The reason I have unfinished projects I have found, is due to having unorganized photos. I am doing well with a 15 minutes a day on your photos goal...and want to continue that because I am really enjoying the effects of what I have completed so far.
3) I want to learn about some technology things. I want to become more proficient at iMovie,Procreate and Affinity photo.
4) I want to continue going back and labeling albums w/o labels, re attaching anything that has fallen apart...just "giving some love" to my older albums.
5) of course, make layouts:)

I need to get into a regular scrapping habit. I tend to do things in bursts and then go long stretches without (this applies to many areas of my life). In a perfect world, I’d be completing one layout a week. I’m almost afraid to set that as a real goal though for fear I will fall off the wagon. So I will echo what christinec68 said above—scrap more often than just thinking about it! Happy New Year to all.

I completed just over 200 pages and almost the same exact number of cards in 2022. I want to complete more layouts in 2023. I made 4 gifts albums… only 1 with photos, at least 8 folios and many note pad covers.

I’m attending 4 retreats next year but I also want to craft more at home especially during the summer. I’m in the middle of a craft room reorganization and I want to finish that and start to utilize the space. Its slow going 🫤
Participate in PL, OLW, WITL, DITL & DD in 2023. Continue to work on my kids baby books & start their School of Life albums. Make a photo book of my wedding & honeymoon Continue working on my past WITL albums (maybe finish one) Start my 2022 DD album Figure out what to do with all my ephemera. Use some stash. Get a new computer & printer. Learn PSE & use my Silhouette cameo. Do some digital pages. Start some of the classes I’ve bought lol.

I have a list in my head a mile long that will take the rest of my life lol. I want to narrow that down to what I think I can actually accomplish in 2023.
Complete OLW. I always fall off in March or April, and I do really like this project. Finish my 2020 PL album Start and stay pretty current on a 2023 album Finish 4 classes I've bought - there are lots more where those came from, but I'm trying to be realistic lol.
I would also like to get my photos better organized and possibly culled down to what I'll actually scrap Scrap more, shop less as always. Maybe I will DO that this year lol.
I would also like to get more use out of my stamps and my Joy. And this is already looking like a lot lol.

My objective for 2023 is to do a mini album and at least 20 pages. This is way up from the last 2 years but way down from what I used to do. I just had some photos printed including those for the mini and I've cleaned out my photo box and gotten it better organized. I made a list of several things I want to scrap this year. Some of them will be photos from my youth and my early career. I found some photos when cleaning out my Mother's house and have had a few put back that I never got to. I still don't have a lot of childhood photos but these do help fill in the gaps in my own story. It's just for me anyway.
I think my pages will be more mixed media in the coming year. I want to add some watercolor work and use up some of my other product. After a long absence, I browsed one of the scrapbook vendor sites a few weeks ago and nothing appealed to me. I'm just going to continue to work with the stuff I have and see how it goes. A friend sells Stampin' Up! so I ordered some clearance rack paper from them and a few ribbons - as if I needed more ribbon. I can't resist it.

- finish project life 2022 (probably half way done or a little more) - watch and try VB lives on Facebook from last year and into this year - try the gel plate I bought and make some backgrounds, I got a 12x12 gel plate! -Get the kids school albums up to date. (Which is just this year’s 1st day of school, school photos) - learn the cameo I just got for Xmas - mostly large titles and backgrounds
I tend to scrapbook for a while and then work on my EPP quilt (Pink Door block of the month) for a while. So I need to be better at splitting my time instead of going 3 months at a time neglecting one hobby for another.

My goals for 2023 are:
1. Finish auditing my photos and scrapbooks this spring.
2. Finish my wedding album, it is about halfway done.
3. Move on to my next big album project, whatever that my be.
4. Complete over 100 pages. I accomplished this easily by July, but then lost all of my momentum. Hoping that doesn't happen this year.
Edit: Oh! I forgot to add completing a few classes too. I think that will be my focus this month, to help get my mojo back.

Goals for 2023:
1. Find an organization system I like for my stamps and stamp/die sets. Right bow they are in a sterilite container.
2. Finish off 2022 albums for dd and ds.
3. Have dh build my custom storage area for my albums. I *might* request a whole new desk and storage system in my craft nook. Dh does wood working as a hobby.
4. I want to learn to use stencil paste. I have 7 stencils to start with. Going to pick 1 paste in a color I love to see how I like it.
5. Improve my handmade cards.

Inspired by a Pea here (can't remember who lol...) I want to dive into ALL MY CLASSES that I have bought. Take notes, and see if I get inspiration to scrap a page from them. That is the lesser of the goal, the goal is to listen/view these classes. The First up will be Linda's class "Plan Prep and Play" which will be perfect for my plane ride tomorrow!
Participate/complete OLW 2023. Participate in DITL & WITL. Work in my Heidi Swapp Memory Planner using a bunch of official HS products. I look forward to a more streamlined, cohesive memory planner for 2023. My 2022 was a hot happy mess, which was fine, it will be fun to plan layouts in a different way.
I plan to NOT participate in Joy in July, October Daily, or DD. That leaves me much more time to work on smaller projects.

A lot of other responses sound like mine.... but here's my specific goals and plan. Goal: Complete 15 pages a month for a total of 180 pages for the year. That's an aggressive goal for me considering I completed 48 pages this past year and averaged only 20 per year the prior 4 years -- but I was working full time (about 50 hours a week) and moved during that time. I'm currently not working outside the home except volunteer work.
Projects I'll work on: (1) Filling in skips in albums - 1999 and 2002 (I worked on skips in 2000 and 2001 the past 2 years.) (2) Finish my younger daughter's school albums (3) Do Month in Review pages (like Project Life but a month instead of a week) for 2021 and 2022

I just went back to the 2022 thread to see how I did against my goals for last year (the thread is here if you're looking for it). I made some good progress on some of my goals and not so great progress on others. This year I want to: * finish my 2021 PL album * finish my 2022 PL album * make good progress on at least two as yet unfinished classes (thanks for whoever first listed that above, I normally have it on my non-scrapping goals and do terribly at it, so hopefully this will hold me accountable) * continue working on at least two of my unfinished vacation albums

My immediate goal is to go through every bin, box and container and purge items I'm realistically never going to use. Every "best day ever" die cut and "hello" sticker, and so many flower papers I never seem to actually use are going onto Buy Nothing.
My second goal is going to be to arrange my space so it flows better.
My third goal will be to actually scrap more often, now that I won't spend so much time digging through everything. I don't have a set number of pages, just more consistently.

In 2022 I got fewer pages done than in 2021. Only 1 completed book versus 2 the previous year. I tried making fun pages just a story I wanted to tell. I didn't do many and it is not ready to print yet. This year I want to focus on completing books. - Finish monthly 2022 - Stay current on monthly 2023 - Belize 2007 trip book I started and failed last year - Monthly book for an older year. I have not picked a year yet. Anything from 2016-2020 is not done. - WITL 2021 - A minibook: ten things I love about my dog.

Lofty goals! We’ll see how I do. 😁😉

I have a few things I want to focus on.
Still want to get a video up a day on YouTube. Need to finish getting through the Nuvo and Liquid Pearls that are still chilling in my room. Need to get through a stack of premade backgrounds sitting in my room

Ultimately to keep making progress in my everyday photos/layouts (I'm towards the end of October 2020 and really want to just get 2020 done and over with), but definitely:
1) Finish DS17's German Trip album 2) Figure out what and how I'm doing pictures for DS17's graduation party 3) Finish DS14's St. Louis Trip album (I keep forgetting about it because I'm trying to do it pretty much completely digitally) 4) Finish our 2022 vacation album 5) Figure out what of the above I can maybe do at my 4-day retreat in March without literally packing up everything I own to take along "just in case"... 6) Continue reorganizing my digital files on my laptop to make them more usable

I am really bad about making goals. BUT yesterday I organized 450 photos by events, found a sketch and made a kit with at least paper for each of them and added to the 2021 basket of page kits I am working on.
My goal would be to finish 2021, start and complete 2022 and keep up with 2023. There I made a goal.
