This thread will be for anyone using a memory planner system. Feel free to use it for accountability (I need this), sharing ideas for pages, product sharing, and techniques.
Introduce yourself here. Tell what system you’re using, and what you hope to achieve this year.
I am Laura. I was on the original boards and joined there 21 years ago. I have tried PL since the original version came out but I am terrible at staying with it more than a few weeks. Instead I end up using pocket pages for scrapbooking. I am an almost empty nester, mom to four grown children and grandma to one grandson. Now that the kids are grown we have time to travel, but that’s being spent visiting kids in Texas & Michigan.
I decided to use Heidi Swapp’s Stop The Blur memory planner system. I was having some issues with her site last night but plan to sign up for classes for at last a few months to get started.
Thanks for following along.

I memory plan in a planner I print myself on cardstock. 8.5”hx7”w My hope is to keep current with it this year. I did very well for several years but haven’t done a thing for 6 months since I moved. So my goal for 2023 is just to keep going. That’s it.
I usually use kerri bradford stamps to set up my month pages either the ‘year round’ stamps or the ‘blocks of time’, I just love these sets and how buildable they are. Currently I am also using her double digits small for my daily dates

Thanks for the new thread! I have been memory planning the last 2 years in assorted planners, it has been a very hodge-podge method. I started collecting HS kits last summer and have liked using some of the inventive ways to incorporate more small photos into the space. This year I am going to try the HS planner insert AND the retrospective documenting. This makes me a bit nervous as I have been documenting more "daily". As I just got back from vacation, I now get to see about doing the first week of January retrospective documenting. I'm going to make a mini album about my vacation, so my memory planner won't be swamped in Week 1.

I did order the Adventures paper pack for that use. DH and I like to take Saturday road trips and it’s easier to use a smaller book. My brain struggles to fill 12x12 anymore.

Hello! This is my first year doing memory planning. I have done project life on and off for years. I’m getting very behind and kind of bored so I’m changing it up. I figure it will be a good mix while I finish 2021/2022 project life. I’m going to be doing mine in a 6x8 using templates I created in photoshop that are very similar to Heidi swapp. I actually used a template from the lily pad from 2015-ish time.
My first week is sitting on my desk and I’m excited. It looks like it will be fun. My goal today is to put it together.

http://instagr.am/p/CnSIw2JL8nl Well, week one done or almost done, need a "Happy Birthday" sticker for Friday. Got 19 pics on the week! My slidey Pink Jeep Tour is a bit wonky but that's okay. Just wanted to get it in the folder and move on to week two. Sorry the pics are not the whole spread.

Today has turned into a snow day, so I am working in my memory planner. Is anyone else waiting on an order from the HS Shop? I finally got my shipping notification for my order placed on the second, it should arrive this weekend, but my second order is still delayed. I did sign up for the classes and printables. I figure I will try it for a few months until I get the hang of things.
I can’t figure out how to make multiple replies on the app, so forgive me. I enjoyed seeing your spreads and followed you. I hope to share my first week in the next few days. I was waiting on photo paper for my PictureMate and it arrived yesterday.

Hi Laura! Hi Peas! Awesome thread! I am enjoying seeing all of your memory planners. Thanks for sharing! I'm not sure if what I'm doing is "memory planning" or not. In 2022, I got a Happy Planner plus the box punch and a couple of the discbound edge punches with the intention of using the planner to scrap photos chronologically. I made a few pages like that and loved them, but it was too time consuming to do the pics that way. What I was planning to do ended up morphing into something else. I'm a longtime planner user. I probably couldn't have made it through college without my planner. Nowadays I'm using my planner for writing down things I want to remember for both work and personal reasons. I am keeping my planners for the long term, because the information in them often proves invaluable to me later. And then, I figured if I am going to hang onto them, I might as well make them pretty and worth looking at. So now my planners are my catch-all spot for both planning and for keeping journaling and insights that I don't necessarily want to make public in my family scrapbooks, which get shared with everybody. That's why I've shared "before the pen" layouts on my website, and above in this post. Thanks for taking a look!

While HP has the vertical style for its Memory Planner I also prefer the horizontal style for this type of planning. I use a vertical HP for my daily planner. Did anyone watch HS’s live? I am getting excited to see the class when it posts and the printable. The clipboards a super cute idea. But I really don’t need to buy any more supplies! I did get one of my orders in. I spent yesterday purging my craft room so I can set up a planner work space to work consistently and stay current. With my kids grown I have plenty of time in the evenings to set aside.

pridemom , I can't see your pages. Are you using the link button for this? When you type a reply, it's the world icon with the page in front of it. Click on that and then drop your link in there.

Same, if I had anything I really wanted to show up in 2023 PL for jan 1, I would have just included it in the layout for Jan 2-8.

I’m up to date!!! I’m excited because my memory planning fell completely thru for July - Dec I don’t know why. I’m really enjoying myself. I think my issue was not having my printer unpacks & not being able to mentally prepare the photos for printing elsewhere.
Anyway I am glad I’m back to fiddling at my desk almost daily, it makes me happy.

I said ‘in my memory planner’ lol not ‘caught up’ and july to Dec 2022 are pretty much blank. No worries I’ll never be ‘caught up’ but when I went back to scrapping after my divorce I gave myself or to mission to not have to go back and catch up. Would have overwhelmed me completely

How are your memory planners going? I am working on week three.
Does anyone have another option for sharing spreads? After making my Instagram public my relative with schizophrenia found me. For my own mental health I can’t leave it public.
Thanks.

For my own mental health I can’t leave it public. Thanks. The only way I could do it (because I’m not going through the hassle of a photo hosting site) was with the Tapatalk app. I can’t use the app on a regular basis but it bugs me, but allows you to easily select an image from your camera roll to post. So I go to the app to post a picture only, otherwise I don’t use it.
