Mine are just in their original packages on a large binder ring. That way I can easily flip through them and they never come apart. And they hang from a hook on the side of my raskog, so easy to grab.

They’re in large stamp pockets in roygbiv/neutrals order in one of the three drawers in an Ikea piece that fits in an Expedit cube. It could sit on a shelf or table too. If I didn’t have them there I’d put them in a small bin.

Thanks for your responses. Like msupea , I store enamel dots (ETA: in original packaging) in a 4" wide clear fridge bin divided by manufacturer/brand.

I have my enamel dots stored in a snap lid container that also holds my bling. If I'm page planning then I may include the desired color in the kit but otherwise I just prefer to take my smaller than shoebox size container with me to crops. I have a second container that holds the bulk of my flower packages so I'll take that also. Enamel dots are a finishing touch for me so including them with my bling just made sense and I can quickly sort thru the small container and find what I need.

I'm curious. Those of you that sort by color, do you cut the backing apart? I like having the color schemes together because it gives me ideas of using color combinations I haven't thought about before.
I throw away the packaging and just keep them on their clear backing in my ziplock bag. It is easy to see the colors without the packaging and it takes up much less room.

I hadn't been, but then most of mine are purchased in color families (Altenew). I had one that was very different colors that I did recently cut apart and file in the "right" rainbow segment. As they are the last thing to go on, the rest of the card dictates the color scheme.

Those of you that sort by color, do you cut the backing apart? I don't, I'm that crazy person who moves the dots from one backing sheet to another. I've tried to be really purposeful about the sets I'm buying these days, so I've typically got empty spaces in the colours I've purchased so there's very little rearranging other than taking all the navy dots and adding them to the pack that holds all my other navy dots. I keep "original" packaging and don't like how the cut sheets move around inside them. There are only a couple of sets I've bought over the years that didn't handle being moved well, the tiny, tiny hearts/stars/dots from Shimelle's first line, and some Fancy Pants puffy dots, so the next sets I bought by those companies I've kept as they were sold.

In their original packaging with the top cut off for easy access, then stored in a soft side storage cube.

I cut each color row into its own strip and put into one of two containers (warm/cool colors).

If the pack goes with a collection, I keep it with that collection. Otherwise, I use a plastic accordion coupon holder that works well. I addition to random sets scattered throughout my desk area.

In a 4 by 6 photo container thing. If they don't fit, I cut the sheet down until it does ...

I have a small multi drawer unit that you can use for screws etc and I have one or two drawers dedicated to each colour. I leave the dots on their backing sheet, sometimes cutting it in half to fit the drawer. This way I can see which colours I am running low on. It is easy to pull out a drawer and choose for my LO. I don’t keep the outer packaging as I don’t need to know the maker as I’m not on a design team. In my craft room, I have a similar set of drawers for my stash of buttons and brads, which I still use when I can lol. Previously the drawer units held my embroidery threads in the days when I did cross stitch.

I have a square plastic basket that holds enamel dots, rhinestones, sequins and brads, all in their original packaging. I just pull out the basket and flip through it when I'm looking for type type of embellishment.

Yes, I keep the dots all together when they are with the collection or "kit"... if they are random dots from a grab bag or a big dot order... then yes, I will cut each color apart on the plastic card and put them in the baggie they go to.... I don't keep the backing card because I don't need to know where the dots came from... I just pull them out and use them...
I also do this with buttons and brads.. cut the plastic card they are on and put them in the bag they belong to color sorted...
