Did anyone watch this? It has some contestants that I know from Big Brother, Survivor, The Bachelor, etc. Some people I've heard of from shows I don't watch like Brandi. Some people I've never heard of. Oh, and an Olympic swimmer! The show is definitely not as good as BB, Survivor or Amazing Race but I'll probably keep it on while doing other stuff.
Anyone else watch it?

We started watching for Kate. Love her!
I didn’t have any idea AC was hosting - huge bonus.
I was kinda bored the first episode, though, so I hope it gets better because I want to like it.

It does get better, at least the UK one that aired here a couple of weeks ago did. I’m looking forward to seeing Alan Cumming as the host of yours.

Eli Gold! We’re watching. It’s okay. I just finished the Duel Agents Challenge season. That held my interest more than this. I thought I’d like it more.

I’m about half way through the UK series and a little late to the party. It’s been a massive hit in the UK. I’m quite enjoying it. The Uk version is all unknown folk - no celebs or sort-of celebs except the host. I love Alan Cumming so will probably watch the US version which I believe is filmed at the same Scottish castle.

Yes, I was surprised to see it was filmed in the same place Jockscrap. Pleased, too, as it’s a lovely part of the world.

Just saw a commercial for it. Is it an episode by episode or whole season release?
I have so many shows that i'm not caught up on but it looked interesting.

I love that it’s so campy and I’ll watch Alan Cumming in almost anything. I wish they didn’t drag out the reactions so much…the length of the breakfast scenes can be cut down by 80%

Hadn't heard about this one but love Alan Cumming.
Checking out the cast, I was so excited to see one of my favorite Survivors ever, Cirie Fields, and then saw Rachel Reilly's name. Interesting to see half the cast are unknowns and half have reality world experience. I've always preferred either all experienced or all new.
I'll watch to see Cirie and see if it catches my attention.

I started to watch the Aussie version of this show...and I gave up after 1 episode. I thought it was boring, but I just watched the trailer for the USA version and it looks like they amped it up from the version we got.
I just googled to find the trailer and see where it was on, and had to laugh when I found an article saying that some Americans were complaining on social media about Cumming's "fake Scottish accent"
I love his voice, he's fantastic to listen to when he narrates audiobooks, I wish he'd more of them.

It’s funny when that happens. I remember when we were all talking on here about The Fall and some of the US folk were complaining about Gillian Anderson’s English accent and commenting how bad it is. As a native Brit, I can say it is the most perfect English accent; not surprising as she grew up in England. I’ve been watching Alan Cumming since his very early days, and this is how he really talks! As an aside, his episode of ‘Who do You Think You Are?’ is one of the saddest, most gut-wrenching one I have ever seen and well worth seeking out on BBC streaming service.

Jockscrap if you have not read his autobiography, then I can highly recommend it. It throws a lot more light on his life. It's called Not my father's son. The fact that Alan is a decent human is a testament to his character. I have lots of time for him. I remember him from his TV series, "The High Life". As far as traitors goes, it reminds me of a childrens programme from about fifteen years ago?? There was a high medieval tower and one of the children was tasked with sabotaging the games/ other players as they worked through the various levels of the tower. For the life of me I can't remember what the programme was called.

(I have come here every day recently to see if anyone posted about this - ta dah!) Loved the UK non celeb version Me too! We're in the UK and didn't watch until a friend said she was hooked and recommended we give it a try - wouldn't normally enjoy that kind of reality TV at all. Somehow, though, we got hooked :-) Now we've started watching the US version on BBC and have found the "personalities" a little much. Some of the changes are interesting - that first jaw dropping moment outside the castle as the UK group assembled (can't say more without a spoiler!) was an instant "hook" and we wondered why it didn't happen with the US one? Still, a clever concept and we'll stick with it. It's interesting to see what everyone else thinks.

I would watch Alan Cumming in ANYTHING, so of course I watched this. Binged it all in just a couple of days, and I’m glad I did so that I didn’t have the ending spoiled. Agree with the poster who said they could cut down the dramatic reactions...sooooo drawn out, but that’s reality tv for ya. Overall, it was pretty good.

I watched it...and really liked it. Much better than what I saw of the Australian one, and adding in some people we know from other reality TV shows made it a bit more interesting. Plus AC was perfect for the role of host. I'd watch another series.

Yes, I looked up the UK one and saw that it seemed to be pretty much the same, just with different people playing. I didn't really see the point in watching them both either. UK wasted a perfect opportunity in not using Alan Cumming.

They were very different so, much as I loved AC’s performance, I would be happy seeing either one hosting our next series.

Davina was brilliant, I’m not normally a fan, but she was perfect in this. I do like Alan Cummings but his weird accent grated on me at times. I hear that there is an Australian version coming soon, can’t wait to watch that, it’s so addictive.
