I love the Pink & Main dies. I’m not sure how to assemble it so I am looking forward to learning that in the class. I used the blue/yellow plaid papers but not the other. I switched it out for some rainbow heart patterned paper layered on kraft cardstock. I never would have purchased these dies but I think I’ll get a lot of use from them.

I never would have purchased these dies but I think I’ll get a lot of use from them. That's what I really like about these C&C events. I would never purchase a lot of the stuff included in the box, but once they show me how to use it - I'm so excited! Is everyone ready for the unboxing tomorrow night?

It forces me to get out of my normal designs. And since I'm in my own craft room I can switch papers and colors to my liking. That's not so easy in an in person class.

There are some things like that for me in the box but a few I know I’ll never use. MichyM, does that mean that the lighter weight card stock in our boxes is Hammermill 60 pound? They don’t offer an 80 pound version.

What time is the unboxing? If I don't catch the beginning will I still be able to rewind and watch?

They don’t offer an 80 pound version. Do a Google search for hammermill 80 lb cover stock and you’ll find the lighter CS in our boxes. grammadee. If you miss the beginning of the live tonight (5pm PDT) you’ll have to pick up wherever they are when you turn it on. Afterwards the entire thing will be available for you to watch.

Just a heads up that class prep videos for Concord & 9th, Lawn Fawn and Honey Bee are up along with an additional correction, this time from Crafter's Companion. The link to this page was in a recent email that we received. I'm not sure I can post the link here.

I am clearly a disaster when trying to buy reams of card stock, but I think I see the right ones of Hammermill now. I'm quite eager to fix my Neenah screw-up, but I'll wait until I've used this for the next couple of weeks.

When did you get the email lindamh? I don't see one more recent than last week and I didn't see the info you mentioned in it.

It comes in 60, 80 and 100#. MichyM's link is for 100#

As long as it only comes in one shade of white, since that's what I screwed up with the Neenah!

I have 60lb on it's way as I'd like to be able to print on it from time to time, and my printer will jam with any CS over 65lb.

I do not receive any emails about this event, as well as the last one (and yes I've tried everything that SCT recommends), and a search through guides on their FB page isn't bringing them up. Thanks so much!

Shakti, MichyM, and other interested parties . . . . I know I'm too much of a rule follower, but I'm hesitant to post a link with very specific information in a public place. So, here's how to find the link. . . . . Go to the Guides section on Facebook. Choose guide 4, SCT Official Emails. Look for the official email labeled March 3. The section titled "If you're on #teampeek" has a link you can click. It's in blue and underlined. It takes you to a page on the SCT website that has video links, corrections, and other things including the PDF of the instruction book. That's why I'm hesitant to post the link - because you can access the instruction book from there. I hope that helps.

Thank you so much lindamh , I appreciate the road map Just a FYI for anyone wondering, no one can view info from a link to the closed C+C group unless they are already an approved member. I have a question for those of you who are or have prepped. I was looking through the Crafter Companion projects to prep some things (even though no prep is listed). I am stumped on card #2, step #3. I have absolutely no idea how to do this on a Platinum6 and Google is not helpful. Could someone share how to emboss (not cut) with a cutting die and this machine? Thank you!

If you have the newer Spellbinders universal platform system, it's the "how to emboss a cut shape" sandwich listed on the platform base. If you don't have the universal platform system, I *think* from the bottom up, it's the base, tan flexible mat, cardstock, die face down & blue embossing plate. I may be missing 1 clear cutting plate in there somewhere. Let me look to see if I can find a Jennifer McGuire video for a visual. ETA: Just realized the sandwich is listed on the old non-universal platform as "how to emboss a cut shape" too.

I'm a little embarrassed that the info was right on the platform!

Mine cut a little bit in spots when I used that sandwich, but it more or less worked.

After watching the unboxing, I am so excited for this event! I'm definitely not getting up at 6:30am but it's going to be a great weekend!
I am so glad they are doing the after class chatter on Youtube instead of FB. Love that change!

We'll see how that goes. I might have to do all the first classes on Monday! haha

This is what happens when I am left alone with a box of supplies. I started the LRDS homework, then decided to use the negative cardstock as a stencil.

Last night I inked some panels to cut out pieces for the Pink & Main cards. I think today I am going to cut apart those fun dies and get that part of their homework done. Might play some more with those stencils.
What are you looking forward to the most?
