Last night I inked some panels to cut out pieces for the Pink & Main cards. I think today I am going to cut apart those fun dies and get that part of their homework done. Might play some more with those stencils. What are you looking forward to the most? Being off work for five days! 😂😂😂

I"m so jealous of people who are taking Thursday and Friday off. I can't, and aargh I'm going to have major FOMO. I'll probably do those cards the following weekend and pretend I have another Crop and Create event I loved the unboxing. Virginia Nebel does gorgeous scrapbook pages so her being there got me excited for next month, too!

I thought they said at the beginning that Virginia is doing the event with us! As a crafter, not a teacher.
I’d like to see how she puts her mark on them!

Played a bit with the LF dies today. I left the rainbow dies in two sections and cut 3 of each with 6 different colours. Enjoy today! by Gramma Dee, on Flickr

That is very cute, though I can't quite understand what you mean about what you did/didn't do to the dies.

That is very cute, though I can't quite understand what you mean about what you did/didn't do to the dies. The dies were all attached together. You can separate the rainbow into five individual dies (they were attached together in one group of 3 and one group of 2). I left the groups together and cut multiple sheets of scrap cs (3 sheets at a time). Then I assembled the rainbow on my card. I wanted all six colours so I overlapped a bit to fit the extra piece in.
For the clouds, you can separate out the faces if you want, but I have other cloud dies I can use if I happen to want full ones cut later. I left the faces attached in the middle of the cloud dies and cut them that way, then backed the faces with some navy cs.
This afternoon I am going to cut up the rest of the scraps I used for the rainbows and make lots of arches in each of the six colours. Will cut a bunch of happy little clouds, too, and put all that together in a 4x6 card case, so I will have them to pull from when I want to use rainbows again. May die cut some little suns, too, using some dies I already have, to add to the mix...

My box has arrived (and earlier than expected)!
I’ve been sick the last few days so I’m hoping I’ll feel better soon so I can start going through the box and get caught up. Still a few days to go!

Hello everyone! It's almost time!
I have been busy. My daughter came over this morning and helped me move my computer over to my scrap table so I can watch the YouTube videos easier (used to watch them on my iPad and iPhone). I tried to figure it out on my TV but since it's not a SmartTV it was difficult. This is MUCH better! I just need to find a monitor riser - will use books if I have to LOL.
I took a few minutes and built a play list in YouTube. One for each C&C Delivered I've done (five so far - 2 fall card, 2 holiday, and one spring scrapbook - this is my first spring card). Got whatever videos they had on the Facebook group and added them to my YouTube play list so they're there if I ever want to go back and view them. Looks like some are missing - they are on FB but not YT.
I'm going to tackle the rest of my homework tonight and tomorrow - hope to get it all out of the way before Thursday. I'm making a pot of soup on Wednesday that will hopefully last me a couple days so I don't have to cook dinner.
Everyone else ready to rumble?

I'm almost ready. I still need to choose ink colors for a few classes and I want to go through the HW one more time to see if I missed anything. That will be tomorrow and Monday.

I decided that the only reason Pink & Main had us coloring white card stock to die cut was that they neither wanted to include some nor ask us to provide our own. But I do have a fair number of variety packs of solid colors, so I die cut from colored panels.

I'm pretty much ready MDscrapaholic . There are a few of the complete color palettes that I really do not care for, so I'm hoping to get that sorted out in the next couple of days. So happy that the event is not this weekend, we finally have gotten some spring-like weather over the last few days and it's been soooooo nice to get out and enjoy it! Rain comes back tomorrow (boo-hiss). I've pretty much decided that this will be my last Crop and Create (there too many classes that I do not care for or am borderline about). Plus, never receiving emails makes info difficult to keep track of. I'd love to hear which manufacturer's classes you all have enjoyed in the past. And which ones you didn't as well. That said, I know that I'm going to have serious FOMO on the fall one, so who knows if I'll be able to stay strong! That said, I loved the Pink Fresh weekend last month and will definitely be signing up for their next card event! Like you, I've got to meal plan - or even just healthy snack plan since honestly, that'll be pretty much how I'll be eating those 4 days. I often double recipes and freeze in single servings, so I've got several different dinner entrees ready to go which will make things easier. I'm wondering if any of us west coasters are going to be ready to roll for the 6:30am classes? Certainly not me! I don't recall them starting quite this early in the fall, did they?

I feel like the fall event started at 7:00 am PST. I always wait until the first class is over and then start with the replays.
I won’t be able to start this time until the 25th as I won’t be home. But, can’t wait to see what you all post!

I'm sorry to hear this may be your last C&C! I'm like you - I don't like everything I get in the box, but then, after I see what they do with them, I do change my mind sometimes! I'm fine with switching out colors/papers, doesn't bother me. I like to use what I have. I did buy some new Distress Oxides for this, but I'm trying to collect all of those anyway. I'm sorry you're not receiving the emails. You don't seem to be the only one with that problem. Having to get up early for a 6:30 am class is not something I'd want to do. I thought that's why they started at 10 or 11 am ET the last two times. I'm on the east coast so I'm usually anxious to get started, as I have a couple hours to wake up and get moving. I know they can't accommodate everyone. I haven't done any other card classes except these. I'm already looking forward to the fall event. I'm hoping she cuts it back just a little. While I'm thankful for 15 classes this time, I know I'm going to be EXHAUSTED by Sunday night.

It matches the stamping EXACTLY - there's no shade variation, no tone variation. I only inked the outside 1/4" or so, since we're covering it up with a center panel. Either way is fine!

Well, the instructions said to color with markers, so that wouldn't have been an exact match anyway, and it just sounded like a pain. Ink blending would have matched better.

I can't stay focussed and do all the proper prep work. Watched the Christopher Allen meet & greet yesterday evening. Played with the BM stencils this morning. I liked the square card Allen was showing, and wanted to see what would happen if I applied that design to a 5x7 card format. Figured out how to work with the layering process. I have never done layered stencil inking before. I cut white cs to 6x6 (the size of the stencils). Then used washi tape to make a sandwich for the first stencil. Inked. Then flipped that stencil to the back and taped on a second, and so on. That worked really well for me with this type of design, and it was fun and easy, but I would have to be alot more careful with an overlay image that has to piece together in specific places. Used a SB nesting square die set to cut the squares. Ended up with enough little squares to make two cards, using my own supplies for the extras. layered stencil cards 1 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr

Has everyone here successfully stamped the Hero Arts fence?
I stamped the Altenew lily successfully today, but I am having issues with the fence.

Has everyone here successfully stamped the Hero Arts fence? I stamped the Altenew lily successfully today, but I am having issues with the fence. I had to play with both stamps a bit, the fence and the Altenew lilies. Both would not stamp in the middle. I found by putting the acetate stamp cover sheet under my paper in the middle, it worked. Just elevated the paper a tiny bit. Any paper shim would work. I'm starting to wonder if it's my stamping platform. I just opened my next to last homework bag - the Stamps of Life, and watched the Meet N Greet with Stephanie Bernard. Love this set! Especially love that the cat papers in the pad can be die cut. I'll be using this a lot for cards for the grandkids. I haven't looked at the Crafter's Companion bag yet, but Catherine said there's no homework for that one?

I have two foam pads for my Stamparatus and the grid-marked one is definitely a tiny bit thicker -- maybe I'll try that, although I already filled out the form.
I thought there was going to be a homework video for Brutus Monroe. I found that one confusing and haven't touched it. I do like the set, but I'll have to watch and take notes and tackle it later.
I also find that I'm loving the Stamp of Life set more than I thought I would, yet it's another one where I haven't really been able to engage with the homework.
Crafter's Companion I did the die cutting/embossing and cut some panels.

Shakti and MDscrapaholic I could not get that HA fence to stamp. I am continuing to be "THAT" student who refuses to focus on what "should" be done and is completely distracted by all the new possibilities! I had stenciled two 6x6 pieces of cs. Had a few pieces left out of one of them from my earlier cards, then cut the second piece into two. Grabbed some other supplies and put together two card bases. Then decided those cute little SoL kitties would look really cute on these backgrounds. (Love how you can just cut the images out of the papers she provided.) So... three more cards. No real prep completed... cats & flowers by Gramma Dee, on Flickr

Go gramma, go gramma, go gramma, go! Your energy is amazing, grammadee! I burned out already, I think, and it hasn't even started yet. I just realized I didn't watch the Honey Bee homework video and that's a class I'm very looking forward to. Maybe I can find a way to sneak a little more homework in during the week. Today I pivoted to menu planning and other adulting an hour or so ago. But if I followed grammadee's lead and made a couple quick birthday cards with the SoL products, that would round my March SLoC up to the 10 I'd need to send to Cards for Cubs....

I can't decide which event I like better, they're both so well done. I used coloured cardstock for the Pink & Main class, too. I was able to match the colours in the patterned papers they provided. I'm not a huge fan of these cards but I'm hoping in person they'll be wow. I thought it was really cool that the Honey Bee team bought the boxes and is doing the entire event, too. I wonder if they'll end up launching their own event and so maybe this is recon. I'd sign up for that, I love them. I finished the homework for the events on Saturday and Sunday, since those are the only days I can do this weekend. I still have to pull all the ink colours for the classes but I'll do that this week. I'm really enjoying the meet and greets. I love hearing everyone's origin story.
