Every time I go and read the rules for the TSoT board, I get intimidated and give up -- the specificity, the feedback, the asking to have the thread archived -- seems too complicated. If you're just offering things for free/just pay shipping you could just go ahead and make a RAK post on the scrapbook or cards board. That's what I usually do. Set your own timeframe and how you want to pick someone - I usually leave it up for a few days and then try to pick the person who sounds like they have a very specific use for it or I use a random number generator. I think I've offered a couple of things on the sale board and didn't do anything about archiving or feedback. The scrapbook message board police never came at me. So I wouldn't worry too much, especially if it's stuff being given for just the cost of postage. But that said, anything that involves describing, taking a photo, mailing, etc is much more complicated than putting it all in a box and donating the whole thing. The charity will find a way to sell it if there's a market. Another option if you don't know where to donate stuff is the give back box program. You can mail donations of any household things and the shipping is free. If you just need to do a clear out and don't have the bandwidth to find the best place it might be an option. givebackbox.com/worksDetail

I’m in the middle of a total scrap room reorganization. I’ve made significant progress but it’s slow going as I have limited time to work on it. I’ve figured out a new desk configuration and closet shelving.
Right now I’m sifting through about a decades worth of memorabilia and sorting into bags by year. It’s very overwhelming and Wow I save everything. I was good about dating and organizing starting in 2020 but before that not so much. My PSA is date your stuff!
Anyway I definitely don’t enjoy this process at all. Tedious and overwhelming. While I am doing it I am reminded of a scrapbooker I follow on IG who is Constantly organizing and reorganizing and reorganizing her studio. She must really enjoy it lol.

Victoria Marie. She always seems to be reorganizing something but that is her full time gig so I get it needs to be highly functional.
I feel like I haven’t ever found the best system for myself and don’t really have the time to figure it out lol.

Well I moved twice last year so that helped. I was at my last place for 12 years. I did some purging before my first moved. I had to put some in storage because not enough room in our rental. I purged some more... that was hard. Then we bought a house. I have my own Craft/Gaming Room. Painted it. found a better desk. Got an L shaped one because I need room for my gaming computer and my crafting table. My husband is jealous of my new (used) desk. I just bought some new bins and have moved crafting stuff over to the new bins. I am now using up some older vinyl to label the bins. I'm the most organised I have EVER been... we'll see how long that lasts.

I'm feeling a little bit accomplished even though I don't really have anything to show for it.
I keep lists of layouts to do by month/yr and the photos are in binders chronologically (mixed with completed layouts) - as I complete an album's worth, I move to albums.
My lists needed updating and it turned out I had two albums worth of completed layouts to move to albums (which I've now done)
But I've updated my layout lists for family albums 2008-2019, 2021-2023. 2020 is actually all completed and in albums and so are 1994-2007. I have partial albums for pre-1994 but I also acquired a ton of additional photos from those years when I inherited my mum's photo collection so I've put them on hold and will worry about them another day.
I have 2 trips to print (both DC 2012 and 2017) but otherwise printing is also caught up now I've placed orders for a few gaps in the albums
Hoping to scrap this evening - I got photos in the mail today so I'll start with those.

I did a deep clean of my nook where I pull out drawers and albums and dust everything.
Then I decluttered and gave away items I haven't used in a few years (metal dies, stack of paper, embellishments, storage item, etc).
I reorganized my area and craft cart.
I got all my stamp & die sets in Avery Elle folders with Freckled Fawn magnetic sheets I cut in half.
Dh is building me a custom unit for the top shelf so I can stand uo the folders.
I also organized my alcohol markers (12 copic, 96 Ohuhu) in 2 zip up marker bags with the option to pull out the slots as it goes in with velcro.

I went through a box of random sheets of stickers and chipboard embellishments. I cut out the images I would use and sorted them into themes or my by color boxes. I tossed a lot of pieces I'll never use. That felt so good!!!

I don’t follow her but I’ve seen some of her organizing posts on IG. Organizing can be a good way to deal with a creative block and it can be fun, but I personally wouldn’t want my hobby to become managing stuff for crafting I never did. ETA: I see Lisa’s latest post is saying she DOES actually spend a lot of time crafting! She just shares a lot of organizing content I guess.

My craft space is also my work-at-home, so being able to put things away is VERY important.
It did occur to me while reading this thread (or maybe one of the other organization ones) that desk has two drawers that are kind of junked up.
I bet I could declutter them and dedicate one to each function. It would nice to have things like my craft mat right there and to have a space to stash the mouse and mousepad on the weekend!

I've decided I'm going to touch everything in my space and tidy up and reorganise as I go. So far today I've gone through my entire paper stash, and three of the four drawers on my desk. I've cleaned out a small pile of paper, and a pile of scraps have gone to the recycling bin along with some old articles and layouts I'd torn from magazines about a gazillion years ago and never done anything with. I've added some old class notes to the recycling, and cleaned out a bunch of cut up page protectors and small pieces of acetate that I'd saved because they were too good to throw away but have never actually been used.
I'm excited to tackle the rest of my space now!

I took two boxes of stuff to the LSS sale and it looks like I priced things too high (it is a drop off and they sell for you sale). They let me take a peek at the sale tables and most things were priced $1-3. I just couldn't do that with my expensive die and stamp sets. We'll see how I did when I pick up the leftovers later this week. I'll know better for next year.
On a positive note, I met a teacher at the store who does junk journaling and she'll take my vintage papers off my hands. I'm just happy the stuff will be going to a good home.

LSS sale update: I only sold about 1/3 of my stuff, but did better than expected $ wise. I am going to try to sell more through FB, both locally and online. As I am organizing my stuff (I am working on paper right now), I am not finding a lot to add to my destash pile. Don't know if that is good or bad, lol.

good job on the destash scrapperalI picked up a rolling cart (similiar to the Raskog) today so once it's assembled I'll be doing some re-organising to put it into play. I want less stuff on top of my desk so I actually have a bit more room to scrap

Since we will hopefully be moving soon . . . I need to destash all the stuff I moved to this house 13 years ago and have never used. It will be a long process. I am not even sure what kind of space I will have in our new home, and how I will be able to organize. It's likely that not everything will be in one place, like I've been blessed for the last 25+ years. ACK!

Went through a few of my themed items and listed three lots onto eBay to sell this week. Trying to be realistic about what I will use versus what I could force myself to use - I don’t like cork or wood pieces so why am I keeping them???

I did the same thing recently, tossing out a bunch of scraps of paper that I never really liked. I have plenty of paper I enjoy so why force myself to use stuff I find ugly. Good luck on your eBay sales

I tackled my larger alphas today. I've pulled out half a dozen sets that can really only make one or two words to focus on using up and tested all my rub on alphas which surprisingly all still worked. I've added three rub on alphas sets to my use it up pile, along with a couple of those pre-made word thicker sets that are nearly finished.
Everything else has been reviewed, sorted, and tidied. I had a pile sitting on top of my storage that wouldn't fit into my containers, and I've now got all of those put away as well, so I'm feeling particularly accomplished.

Chinagirl828 - awesome! I did an impromptu sort and organise of my scrap space the other because I lost a couple of stickers and was trying to find them. I found one of them- the other is still missing - but all the little things that needed to be put back where they belong got put back and my scraps got sorted and my drawers re-organised etc...

I have a lot of finished mini albums. 6ish large totes worth, with maybe 5 full sized albums stored in there as well.
I recently pulled out my dd’s baby album, finished a few extra pages, added extenders and repaired a few pages that had come unstuck.
Decided to reorganize everything and group albums together…DD, school, vacations, etc. I even did seasonal albums for spring/summer/fall for several years. Feels so good to have it organized! I usually pull DDs out and display them at Christmas for anyone to look at, but I definitely need to do it more often with my family albums.
