As another spinoff of recent new release threads, it appears a growing trend in the industry is ... florals! While a couple of floral patterned papers, embellishments, stencils, stamps, &/or dies have long been staples in lines with spring/family/farmhouse themes & from certain brands (e.g. Paige Evans), it seems florals are now blooming (& often abundantly) throughout most collections, regardless their theme or brand. Please share your thoughts on this trend. TIA.

I am totally on board with the florals! I love them and use them on all sorts of pages, they are probably my go to embellishment, I often find when a page feels like it's lacking something some florals will fix it.

They are not my “go to” but I do like them more as I have gotten older. My go to is a tag or label of some kind with words/sentiment/phrase.

I love florals so much. They just make me happy - they're cheerful. I don't have daughters but I still will scrap my son's photos with florals - but very judiciously. I scrap for me so I use what I like.
I also love making floral cards but my husband and son say they prefer other things to florals, so they're always really happy when I made a card with a pie on it, for instance, or a critter. I always show what I make to my son because he's a great enabler and always enthusiastic, but it's funny when he goes "oh no, more flowers!" lol.

Whispers, I hate florals. I wish I could put my finger on why, but I just can't stand all of the florals that seem like they are all that is around. I whispered it so you all will keep my secret right?

I voted "Yes". I find myself drawn to lots of floral papers (Carta Bella has some beautiful ones) and I have a goodly amount of K&Co florals from years ago. But I think I do find them a little bit harder to use than more basic prints. I have found myself using them a bit more now that I have a great granddaughter. Until her, it was all boys, boys, boys.

It depends on the layout or card. I’ve used florals here and there, but I don’t follow trends, unless it really suits my project.

I do love flowers - but not on everything! Give me a nice variety of flowers, hearts, stars, circles, hexagons and arrows and it's all good.

I love flowers on my layouts. The organic shapes help break up the boxiness of my paper layers.

I love florals. I really love when a paper has a coordination B side - dots or gingham that work with the floral paper. I also fussy cut a lot of florals.

Yes, love flowers. But I only have a girl so that helps to use them :-)
I LOVE pattern that I can fussy cut out to make embellishments.

I love florals in nature and have a deck full of flowers in the winter and am currently housing some of them in my kitchen to make it to late spring where they can go back outside. I like the bright colored florals in some lines, but overall, I think the industry just overuses them. They are kind of like the Best Day Ever! or Super Student sayings in so many themed lines. I am going to complete a bunch of wedding pages and will absolutely use them in those layouts.

I said yes, but there are definitely some brands, colors, etc I prefer over others and sometimes I need a break and go all non-floral

I love florals! I like to buy an extra piece of floral paper if it can be fussy cut for embellishments. I have a hard time scrapping without florals and hearts. I sometimes challenge myself to do a layout without them and it’s hard for me.

Beginning to embrace? New trend? It seems like florals have been going strong for years now. Yes, I can use them sometimes, but I have exactly zero floral decor in my home, so again, it is not a lifestyle match for me, particularly when combined with washed out, heritage/vintage, or pastel color palettes. Now, if more saturated or dramatic colors were used in combinations were available, I can use those better. Pair that with florals being the bulk of most lines, both paper and embellishments, it’s too much for me. I am very selective in my floral choices.
Geometrics and patterns of various sizes are more my style (with a floral mixed in here and there). Scrapbook Generations has a new non-themed, color focused line. I would love it if the paper didn’t have a sheen to it. I may be too picky…

I love florals, they are gorgeous. However, I don't tend to use them on pages focusing on my son/husband.
So, while I have accumulated a beautiful collection of them (I buy faster than I can scrap...can anybody else identify with that? 🤣), and will continue to lovingly buy a few pieces here and there, an entire floral collection doesn't really appeal to my practical side.
Sometimes I'm able to yank the credit card away from that practical side though. 😇

I don’t mind them and will use them occasionally, but I am passing on the collections that have flowers as the focus. Just too much for me.
One or two sheets per collection would work, maximum.

I enjoy florals and use them regularly. To me it is not a gendered icon and use them freely regardless of the project.
I think with clustered embellishments being at the forefront of design trends, florals are an easy way to start a cluster.
I see the same with the trend of using large cut files. Florals are an easy and colorful way to fill in the gaps and bring interest to a layout where the main design focus is a large, flat, white bordered, cut file design.

I think they're pretty but one or two per collection is enough. I have accumulated quite a pile of floral paper because I don't go looking for it when I'm making a page... I don't need flowers in multiples on every type of embellishment in a collection either.

I do like florals, but they aren't really a generic embellishment for me. I would definitely use them on girly pages, or a couple photo with my partner and I. For outdoor photos, I tend to prefer leaves and greenery. I would say that is my preference over florals for organic shapes. I put myself in the "maybe" category--I like them and use them, but not on everything.

I am not a trend followers of any kind. I just use what I like.
I like some florals. If a floral paper or stickers work with my photos and whatever it is that I am scrapbooking....then I use it.
I don't use florals, just because that's what someone else is using, or a group is using or because it's been proclaimed the "in thing". I don't follow the bandwagon like that.

I love florals, and use them on most things, I think they're just as neutral as plaid, stripes, etc.

I voted NO. Florals have been saturating the SB market for a while now, and I am really tired of them overtaking every collection. I really don’t need all the florals in other icons either, like sprouting out of a typewriter, computer, camera, etc. It makes them totally unusable for me.
I also appreciate SG’s new lines focusing on color, and the few floral papers they do include have a different usable design on the other side. I also wish their papers weren’t glossy (like ColorPlay), but I will still get some.

I am meh about florals. Sometimes I use them as they work for a pocket page for dd or for a card. But most of the time I don't gravitate towards floral prints. I am more of a strip, dot, etc pattern kind of person.

Thanks for your participation in the poll &/or responses. Perhaps because I have allergies &/or the antithesis of a green thumb, I don't gravitate toward florals, consider them a default embellishment, or use them often. Therefore, I'm among the 30% of respondents who dislike the current overabundance of florals. ETA: I voted NO. Florals have been saturating the SB market for a while now, and I am really tired of them overtaking every collection. I really don’t need all the florals in other icons either, like sprouting out of a typewriter, computer, camera, etc. It makes them totally unusable for me. ... Same
