I've noticed that when I'm making cards, I don't always adhere my project to a card base. A lot of the time I create everything on an A2 card panel or even something smaller and stop before adhering it to a card base.
Do you do this too? Or do all of your cards end up on a card base?

I did before I started taking the C&C classes!
I don't mind using a card panel if it's smaller than the card base. When it's the same size, for some reason, I can't match them up right so the card base doesn't peek out behind the panel.

I usually put the front panel on a base. I give away and donate most of my cards, so I like to have them ready to go. MDscrapaholic - An easy way (for me) to adhere them together, if the base and front are the same size, is use your stamping platform (misti or TH or ??) Put the card base in the corner, then put the front panel on top of it using the corner and sides as a jig.

Or even your scoring board.
I have projects I do straight on the card base -- I think I used to do all of them that way.
I think watching Jennifer McGuire's videos is what got me started working on panels. Now I will sit down with an A2 or 6x6 panel, especially if trying a new technique.

I always make the whole card.
I send cards and give them as presents or donate them. I want them to be done. If I make a coordinating set I box those up and decorate them , its a great hostess gift. Everyone loves getting them.
When I don't feel creative I sit down to watch a video and just cut and fold card bases this way I have them ready to go. The Stampin up paper trimmer has a score and cut blade so it goes fast.

I almost always make the whole card - the exception was during Covid when I was making large quantities of cards to send to my BILs nursing home...I just made postcards (card panels) and stamped a sentiment on the back and signed them.

I always create on a panel. Then, if it's something I'm making in a class or event, like the C&C Cardmaking event, I leave them as is unless I decide to use them for more than just reference. Usually they are my practice cards. If I'm making cards on my own the panel goes on a base because I am almost always making those for a specific purpose.

I always create the whole card too. The exception would be if I make a panel and hate it. :-). Then I don’t waste a card base.

Almost everything ends up finished on a card base around here, good, bad or otherwise. I rarely keep anything for reference, rarely find anything bad enough not to be salvageable in some way and good enough to donate. I also chop almost anything pretty and made of cardstock into a panel and stick that onto a card base to donate too - postcards, cards from other people, advertising that catches my eye. If I'm storing a panel it's usually quite unfinished, and I try not to keep too many unfinished things around because they drive me bonkers.

99.9% of my cards are on a front panel that I attach to a card base. I have trouble working on the card itself

Sometimes I make card fronts, other times I make the whole card.
