I volunteer at our local zoo. They do a ton of events. I am amazed at all the good that zoos do and the behind the scenes information is incredible. I have learned so much in the short time I've been a volunteer.
I also previously volunteered with our food bank and will start that again in the summer.

Do you quilt? There's several quilt groups around me. Same with other fiber arts.
There's also a senior dance troop that performs at local events.

Junior Achievement teaches financial literacy to K-12th grade. They need volunteers all of the time. I volunteer for an organization that works with youth who have been through trauma and they attend two hour courses a week that involve equine involvement. It is often the best two hours of my week.

I am a Junior Achievement alumni from over 40 years ago! I participated through high school, then I worked for our local JA. Now it is consolidated into a larger coverage area. I loved the program in the "old days."

I loved the program in the "old days." I only volunteered with 1-6 grade programs. Lots of good info for kids. I worked for JA and then volunteered a few times a year. I was able to move around the US and watch the programs implemented. They are doing some amazing things with the programs. Georgia has several high schools where the kids walk out with certifications and job prospects after completing 4 years of high school with a business emphasis.

Maybe they were listed and in missed them but what about library or children's hospital. I know ours has a music and art volunteer program. If that interested you maybe you could see how they could use you. Book reading. Music. Art. Something like that.
