I just tuned in and cannot rewind…has Lady Gaga performed yet? Not yet. Hmmm…I read that she isn’t performing due to her acting commitments not allowing her to put efforts into an Oscar performances that would meet her high standards for the audience. |

All quiet is running away with a lot more than I thought they would tbh I agree…sometimes when I movie has clean sweeps it seems unrealistic that they are the best in *every* category…there’s so many great movies!! I liked Gaga’s performance but I wanted to give her some chapstick! Her singing is always top notch. |

Maybe that’s why her lips looked cracked/bloody, the lipstick didn’t come off. |

Although I haven’t seen a single one of the nominated movies, I enjoyed watching the Oscars. There was a lot of joy in the audience. The speeches were touching. It was fun to watch.

I forgot, what was the deal with the Matt Damon joke? It’s a long standing joke on Kimmel that Matt Damon is a guest but they’ve run out of time to actually have him on. |

some of these looks are.... interesting. miss flo is giving us "just rolled out of bed and decided to bring my sheets with me" "It's just a little something I saw in the window." All that fabric and she couldn't manage to cover her undergarments. What do you do if you're the unfortunate person who has to sit next to someone in that big dress? Just keep smiling if you don't want to go viral. |

Jessie Buckley's dress is awful. Does nobody on her stylist's team have a steamer? She is on now. No glitz or glamour. Just powerful singing. It was amazing. It was poweful, heartfelt. Her vulnerability brought it to another level. I’d rather have the emotion than the dress/costume/glamour. Every time she performs it's like, "There, mortals, that's how you do it." She sang the national anthem at the Superbowl and I didn't even need to see the game. I knew I'd just seen the best thing I would see all night. I would be mad if I was behind the woman with the huge white fan collar. Would't it be tempting to sit and throw wet Jolly Ranchers at that crazy thing? Oddly enough, the worst fitting dress of the night was on the woman who won best costume design. |

I really agree with Gaga’s decision that the song needed a stripped down and raw artist singing it. I agree with previous posters that the program tonight was joyful, it made me want to go see several of these movies. It made me happy for most of the winners. I enjoyed the performances. I always love Jimmy Kimmel. I’m glad they brought back the categories they took out last year. |
